"Food was excellent, our server was very nice and knowledgeable. Steak tartare was the best i had ever tried in the US. Only annoying thing, other than mosquitos that were attacking me outside was that passing staff kept wanting to take my plate away and asking if I was done. Overall excellent rating, well worth the $$! Thanks guys!"

"Never had a bad meal here... EVER. Food is always well prepared - cook and seasoned correctly and the service is attentive without being overbearing. We sat out on the balcony which is always a treat when the temp is warm and the bugs aren't biting! We had appetizers and dinner and although it was not inexpensive, it feels worth the price. Especially recommend anything "wood-fired" - pizza's, chicken etc... Nice wine list. Yummy limoncello! Try to get a table near a window or outside. The inside space can be a bit dark."

"Campiello never disappoints us. Food and service are always outstanding. The Margaretta Pizza is one of the best examples of Neapolitan style cooked in a real wood burning oven. Blistered crust with just the right amount of cheese, sauce and fresh basil.
Also we had the hanger steak and the ravioli, both excellent. Finished our meal with expresso and biscotti. Yum."

"Though Shady Oak Road is torn up, getting to Campiello's for lunch is a must. Great food, amazing wine list, and good prices. Service was good, but slow. Overall worth a trip, and though sitting outside with the road construction was distracting, sunshine while having lunch is better experienced outside!"

"I took the family to Campiello for Mother's Day brunch and was, as always, very pleased. My wife and I normally go there for more romantic dinners - which we love - and were amazed how many families with young children were enjoying the cuisine, and how well our 4 yr old kids were treated for brunch! Tried 2 of the specials on our last visit - the melon salad and seafood risotto; both fantastic. Loved the combination of flavors in the melon salad - sweet melon with a hint of heat in the dressing. "The food was excellent as always. We went as a group of 10 for lunch and initially had excellent service and food. But then the wait staff completely forgot about us. We had scheduled an hour and a half on our calendars so we could have a nice lunch and dessert. Unfortunately, by the time the wait staff got back to us, we had no choice but to skip dessert.

"Campiello is one of my favorite restaurants in the Twin Cities. It smell and looks like an authentic Italian restaurant, and the dining outside option is enjoyable in the summer months. The service is excellent, and the presentation with a flourish by several waiters at a time feels special. Everything I have ordered here is delicious. Two days ago my friend enjoyed the bacon, lettuce and pear sandwich. I enjoyed the Chicken Penne and House salad special - just perfect.
It is a tad noisy at times; wish that could be changed. Solution is to come at off times periods, or to eat outside when weather permits. White tablecloths and attractive dishware and glassware add to the class of this restaurant."

"The food is always amazing, full of fresh and seasonal ingredients, and they also have a special monthly menu focusing on a region of Italy. We had early reservations, hoping to beat the rush. Their fresh pastas are very tasty, but the completed dishes are what pack the punch (broccoli raabe, sauteed garlic, and freshly crushed tomatoes with the gnocchi was amazing). The budino was disappointing, not nearly dense enough and should have just been called pudding. Service fell short, too. By the time we got to the main course the restaurant was full and our server wasn't moving quickly enough. He forgot a drink we ordered, forgot that we ordered dessert, and took too long to bring the check. At $20 an entree, I expect better service."

"Campiello's is usually very good. The short ribs are to die for! However, on the night we were there, it took over an hour to get our entrées after we ordered. Our waiter was outstanding, but not much info was forthcoming on why the delay. Once we noticed that it was taking a long time, I looked around and all I could see were just 2 tables with food, all other tables in the entire restaurant were waiting as we were. We were not offered any gratuitous compensation. Other than the long wait, it was excellent."

"Not sure a very busy Easter morning is a good or fair judge of the quality of the food. Set menu was a bit eclectic and some things were dry (French toast, sausage) or not terribly hot (eggs, pasta) or even marginal quality (fruit salad). But in general the food was very good -- flavorful and nicely seasoned. It also would have been nice if they had indicated in some way, either on the "all inclusive'" menu or verbally, that drinks were extra. Attentive and friendly service made us feel like they valued us as customers. Price was reasonable for the amount of food. Because the food was so good (taste-wise), we will try them again for a non-holiday meal!"

"They've been doing it well for so long it seems routine. Always a memorable experience. I had the early bird special for 25 dollars and is a real value. House salad, hanger steak tender and cooked to perfection, paired with a very good red. Paul my server was perfect."

"Several relatives went to celebrate some birthdays on a Sunday evening and we had a wonderful time. The Date Night (Sunday) option (limited 3 course menu plus a bottle of wine for $50 for 2) was an incredible! value, and the food was really good. We also had excellent service with a very special waiter. We also appreciated the lower noise level, it is very frustrating to go to a restaurant with a group and have to yell in order to have a conversation."

"The head waiter was wonderful; very helpful and informative about the menu and preparation methods. I had the recommended Eggplant Parmesan; it was the best I've ever had!!! The negative was the head waiter and one or two other waiters would come to our table at one time; it was like they swarmed us. It was difficult to have a steady conversation. Great location, great food! I'd highly recommend Campiello!!!"

"Overall a good restaurant. I'm all about service, the restaurant sat me near to and with a view of the open kitchen, when food plates sit on warming shelves for 7 to 10 min after being completed by the chef awaiting pick up or waiting for the rest of the plates for the table to be completed that bugs me, your serving food thats cold especially Salomon, the timing should or the wait staff need tweaking."

"My husband and I love hitting up this group of restaurant's "Date Night" specials- three course dinner for two and a bottle of wine for $50. We adore Lurcat and Masa, so we had to try Campiello. It was my least favorite. Being a vegetarian, these restaurants have generally been very good at accommodating me, but this was the only location without a specifically meatless meal on their special menu, so I ordered a gnocchi dish sans sausage. The sausage was probably where all the flavor came from, it was very bland. Overall the other dishes were good and the service very friendly, but I would double check and see if their menu had changed before I would ever consider returning."

"This place is consistently good. Note though that many of the fish selections have been taken off the menu. Consists mostly of meat/pasta dishes. That's okay, but a departure worth mentioning. Service excellent without being pesty, food timed well, arrived hot. Will keep coming back."

"My friend and I really enjoyed our dining experience Saturday night. The food was superb! Only small glitch was our server who seemed a bit distracted by guests at a nearby table.
