"I have been to Tbar multiple times in the past few months, and it is amazing to me how the staff comes to remember you, and you remember the staff. I feel unbelievably more and more comfortable the more I come. I genuinely enjoy how the staff takes the time to make sure everything is alright from the table, drinks, meal... everything. I live in the area, and sometime I feel overwhelmed at upper east side restaurants however this one always hits the spot."

"I went here with my boyfriend the other night to celebrate our one year anniversary. We asked the hostess for a romantic table and she gave us this wonderful corner table in the back that was so perfect. I ordered the tuna tartar and he ordered the salmon ceviche for apps and both were so fresh and delicious that we ended up trading back and forth until there wasn't a morsel left! Then we both got steaks which, he said, were cooked perfectly(he's more of an expert than I am). And for dessert, OH MY GOD, the banana parfait!! We were so full from dinner but we still almost licked our plates. Overall the food, the staff, the corner table ambiance all made our special night so perfect. I will highly recommend for my friends in the area."

"We ordered appetizers, entrees, sides, and dessert and all were delicious. The filet mignons were on par with any steakhouse around the city. The service however was perfunctory. The staff was not particularily friendly and disappeared after they took your order. It was freezing out and we thought we would try the restaurant again for a family celebration. The food was good but for a few hundred dollar meal,I guess we wanted it to be less like the local diner and more like a nice meal. Plates were cleared while others were still eating and the waiter presumed that the 20 something male at the table was paying even when the "mom" at the table gave him the credit card. This made him uncomfortable. Service should match the good food."

"I go back to t-bar any chance I get. I always bring my parents when they are in town. Foos is always consistent and amazing. The steak is outstanding and cooked to perfection. "great steak, prepared perfectly. the later you get there, the noisier it is. Back room is less noisy. Bar always looks busy, 40plus, plus and single."

"We were a group of 9 friends for brunch. Those who stuck to T Bar fare, in other words... eggs, salads, and meats were happy. Anyone at the table who ordered from the fish or pasta side of the menu was disappointed. We had to ask for bread refills and had to ask for dessert of which 5 at the table ordered. I would say overall that the service was a bit spotty and the food inconsistent. Possibly the size of the group had something to do with it? I have been here for lunch/dinner several times before and this was the first time I was underwhelmed. Will give it one more try."

"The food was excellent. Portions were generous. The only complaint was that the lighting was too dim on the second landing above our table and we had trouble with reading the menu."
