"We booked for the afternoon tea to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was great venue for this intimate special occasion. The only downside was that there were multiple groups giving rise to noises. We otherwise enjoyed the setting, the tea and food. The waiter was so formal giving us an illusion that we were in London."

"We had booked for Saturday lunch at 12:30. The restaurant was late in opening and, when we were finally allowed to enter, we discovered that lunch was not available. There was only "high tea." We had received no previous warning of this. The "high tea" was the dreariest I have ever had. "Tea sandwiches" included something purporting to be lobster salad, and there may possibly have been a shred of deracinated seafood somewhere in there among the mayonnaise and anonymous vegetables, but if so, it was impossible to identify. The "open faced" sandwich consisted of a lump of bland white cheese, a single watercress stem (no leaf), and three slices of long-dead strawberry. Absolutely wretched and, needless to say, expensive too."

"lounge is a bit dark and dimly lit. I was shocked at the price for a burger/fries... so thought the food was overpriced - $23 for hamburger so by the time you add drink, tax and tip.... European prices! Obviously for the rich or someone not on respectable business travel."

"The food was very overpriced and was a meal that I would have gotten at a 500 person charity dinner. The steak was overcooked as were the veggies. The staff didn't bring cutlery/silverware when the food came, they never brought water"

"I went to the Library Bar for Afternoon Tea with a friend. We both thoroughly enjoy the experience and would recommend Afternoon Tea for any special occasion (we saw a baby shower taking place there) or just a unique outing for tea-lovers."

"We went to the Library Bar for a late post-opera dinner. The room is very nice but very noisy as one might expect for a Friday night. The food was average. I had the fish and chips. The fish was warm and the batter soggy. The chips were tepid and not crisp. Actually, they weren't worth eating. The service was friendly but slow. Not many choices for an 11:00pm dinner in Toronto."

"The Library Bar was dark, needs better lighting, tables were too small for 4 guests to be served a meal at. Food was as expected for "Bar Fare", menu did offer an extensive selection of food. Staff were accomodating and available when needed."
