"Small birthday celebration with family, granddaughter's favorite food is sushi at 4-years old. Staff treated us wonderfully, table was ready as reserved, great service and wonderful food. Can't say enough about the place. Overall great experience!"

"I'm a big stickler of non Japanese chefs making Japanese food but this place paid a good homage to the Japanese culture
Not really authentic and but still delicious. You can get this same food for cheaper elsewhere."

"My favorite sushi spot in Portland. Located on the 2nd floor off a street level entrance, the restaurant is attended to by a friendly and efficient staff. The Pearl Roll and Japonista are examples of the excellent food available. The quality and terrific flavors make this a most satisfying meal any day of the week. The second level location provide a treetop view of the sunset and natural light filtered for the open space and tranquil vibe accompanied by great, ambient music."

"As a novice to sushi (have had it, but do not feel comfortable ordering it just anywhere) this food was great. The octopus was my favorite. the service was excellent. They have a great drink menu as well. I have already recommended it to several and will return."

"Impeccably fresh seafood. Some may say that the sushi is too complicated, but we say they are marvelous combinations of texture and flavor. Two of our favorites: Transformer and Japonista. The vegetable tempura makes a great starter and can easily be shared between two people. Great drinks; exhaustive sake menu. Great location in the up and coming West End."

"I've been twice, once for omakase at the sushi bar and once for their chirashi. Both were excellent experiences! The $50 per person omakase gives you a very personal dining experience with their head sushi chef who clearly takes his sushi seriously. Both hot and cold dishes were well executed. He even makes some of his own pickles (ginger flower?) with main ingredients from Japan! The chirashi last Saturday was an enormous bowl of goodness! In particular, I love how their rice is mixed with diced tamago, cucumber and ginger - shows it's not just an afterthought! It's all in the attention to detail that elevates the dining experience there"

"Masu Sushi was soooo good... they have a very fresh flavorful sushi and awesome chilled sake selection. The atmosphere and decor were very elegant and modern and yet it felt like home. I would recommend this place to anyone!"

"Our daughter selected sushi for her birthday dinner and I found Masu through Trip Advisor. It had great ratings and we were happy to find that we weren't disappointed. WE had the calamari and a variety of their roles, all beautifully prepared and very tasty! Highly recommend it. Oh and the bartender made one of the best mojito ever!"

"The ambiance is great -- perfect mood lighting in the dining/bar area, and just the perfect amount of lighting at the sushi bar. We were sat at the sushi bar and it was a great experience.
The service is attentive and friendly. Everyone was helpful in making suggestions (drinks, sushi, etc.)when asked.
We had edamame, miso soup, and four sushi rolls -- all very tasty! I cannot recall the specific names of the rolls we ordered, but they were all delicious.
Overall, it was a great place to grab a late dinner."

"This was our first experience at Masu. It had come highly recommended by a friend at ZGF and we found it to be exactly as she said. The menu was both predictable and varied so we were able to have some favorites that were wonderfully prepared but also try some new things. "I've been to Masu before but it had been years. It was nice to return and find that the same family run business was doing very well, and I got to show off my experience with my new wife!
