Alden Park Bar and Grill
Alden Park is a casual upscale restaurant featuring creative American cuisine. Stemming from Chef Brent"s expansive palate, our seasonal menu features an array of classic dishes with a current, fresh twist.
The modern and inviting interior, designed by the acclaimed Steve Todisco, blends a mix of straight lines with flowing curves. Your eyes will be drawn up to the vaulted ceilings by the large archways, highlighted by metallic blue, sea green, and warm brown tones. In the middle of it all stands the eye catching bar area, with its white bar top contrasting a dark wood facade, and topped off with a cool blue halo. Outside on the private patio, the expansive space focused around a water/fire pit is great for functions or a quiet dinner with drinks in our oasis.

"I was first of amazed at the beautiful design of the building inside & out. Our waitress was fantastic,and was right on top of everything. The food was good,but my only concern is my rice wasnt fully cooked. The drink selection is wonderful,and I can't imagine anyone not being pleased coming here."

"I was always intrigued by this glass front bar/restaurant when shopping at Colony Place but had never ventured in to eat.
We were planning on meeting another couple for a dining experience! A new place for all of us so I checked out the website and Alden Park seemed casually classy with a great menu so we booked a reservation (online...SO easy!). We had a great time...something on the menu for everyone. The food was uniquely prepared and delish! And if you want to go to Alden Park just for drinks...be prepared for some of the best concoctions again prepared in an elegant way. We will be back!!!"

"Alden Park Bar and Grill is a great spot for lunch or dinner. The food is delicious, and the service is wonderful. Although the appetizer was very small for the price (2 small crab cakes for $12), the entrees were very large and a great value for the price. The food was cooked exactly to order, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu (food and wine). We would absolutely return to Alden Park Bar and Grill!"

"We thought the food was well prepared and the service excellent but were disappointed there was not a brunch. They had a prix fixe menu that had no breakfast/brunch items. We also found the menu a tad overpriced and the bloody mary drinks were awful."

"Food was meh... Only thing I wanted on menu, (steak frites), they were out of by 7 pm, service was horrible. We waited 15 minutes for us to order drinks and another 10 before we could order food. Appetizer came out fast... Also went through my wife and I at that same speed! Don't order the calamari! The place is basically a big bar, that which the surrounding tables are way to close to. I had my back to the bar and I was being bumped into the entire time I was there by both other patrons and their staff. Food is very expensive for the type of place it is. It has a bar feel with a cozy type price tag... Just didn't add up. I recommend this place for drinks only."

"Love this place. Very contemporary decor, but in a comfortable way. I've been twice and the service has been excellent. Had awesome crabcakes and a roasted Caesar salad, that was excellent. Pulled pork quesadillas were delicious as well. (we weren't very hungry, so these were just appetizers this night). My husband also had a corn and crab chowder that was good, but a little bland and could have used a bit more crab. Got the Ruby Red Cosmo! The time we went before we had full meals with a larger group and everyone raved about the food. The coolest thing here are the small bites desserts. A little bigger than a shot glass, you can get 1 of 6 different desserts for $2. or a sampler of 4 or 6. Just enough sweet after a big meal."

"Alden Park is our go-to date night destination; any time we have a night off from the kids, we know we're going to Alden Park. It's like getting the quality and feeling of city dining ...at a suburban shopping center. :) That's not a jab at the place -- it is beautifully decorated, the menu is great (I usually go with one of the specials), and it's right here in town, which makes it convenient. Honestly, we often go run a few errands at the surrounding stores before or after our meal. We are always impressed with the service and food. We don't drink, but the bar is always bustling and everyone looks like they're having a great time."

"I have never had such bad service in any establishment in any town, state, or country. Our waitress was rude. The food was fine. I just had salad as did most of the 9 others I was with. It was not my first time here and in the past they were fine with large parties but this girl made it seem like we were there to make her life miserable. She made our lunch miserable. Also, it is way over priced. I paid almost $12 for a small salad with no meat. My friend paid over $18 for the same salad with a little bit of chicken on it. We won't be going back."

"Service was very underwhelming...waitress seemed uninterested and disconnected.45 minute wait just for our salad! Relayed to the server that I was on a low -salt diet. Request was not honored. Had a pork tenderloin, which I requested without demi-glaze and just steamed veggies. Pork was swimming in sauce and veggies drowned in butter and salt. In summary, a disappointment."

"We enjoyed our first visit to Alden Park: the service was friendly and energetic, the atmosphere was nice. The only mixed bag was the food. We ordered a baked cod dish which was moist and delicious and a salmon dish which was incredibly dry and chewy - go figure. The small bites desserts were perfect! Just the right size (and price) to finish off a meal - May make a dessert eater of me again."

"We've been here many times - a sign Alden Park is usually good and dependable in quality food and service. Not Tues. night: server was curt and very slow - break came 15 mins after she promised it, and appetizers were not much faster, entree speed OK. Portion sizes here are very large - we each left 1/2 or 1/4 on our plates. My baked cod was good but I'd have preferred butternut squash not mashed into risotto - it made whole plate too filling. Server did check back during entree to see if everything was OK. Not our best night there."

"This was our first time at Alden Park. It was quiet when we arrived on Sunday evening. Great ambiance in the bar and the dining room. Blues music at just the right volume - loud enough to notice, but not distracting. Service was a little slow, but we didn't mind. The best things about the whole experience were the amazing martinis. I'd go back just for those! The bread our server brought was also outstanding. We both liked the entrees we ordered but had higher expectations. We'll definitely go back for drinks and apps (probably soon!) and maybe try dinner again."

"Although I specified (Open Table Reservations online) we were celebrating my mother's 70th birthday and having dinner, I was not made aware that only brunch was available. I also requested a birthday cake which the waitress knew nothing of. I believe they then went out to Walmart and bought a cake. They even gave us the plastic top that came with the cake. The waitress was pretty bad. I asked other wait staff to find her for us more than once. Although it is a nice place, I would never have any event there again."

Pointer...don't just say Hi also when bring guest to table have them seated before putting the menu on the table It should be opened and placed in the hands of the guest.

"I visit Alden Park occasionally for drinks and apps with work crew. Only 2nd time for dinner. The waitress first told us that there were wines not available including the 2 pinot grigios on list and no cabs (strange for a saturday night). They did have one pinot and it was very good.
We started with the lettuce wraps which are fresh and very tasty.
I got the lobster mac and cheese which was creamy and had plenty of lobster but felt it needed seasoning. my daughter had the cod and butternut risotto. The cod was plain but cooked perfect but the risotto was the highlight. ed got the steak and roasted potatoes. The steak was very tender and cooked perfect. We had boston cream pie for dessert, not great. Biscuit was very dry. Will go back!"
