Hapa Sushi Grill & Sake Bar - Pearl St. Boulder
The name Hapa is derived from the Hawaiian term that describes a harmonious blend of Asian and American cultures. Like our name, our food reflects this dynamic combination. The menu is based on traditional Japanese cooking fundamentals which are then amplified, muted, or mixed with influences from many different styles of cooking until they are something completely new: they're Hapa. We have stretched the boundaries of creativity to develop dishes that defy all the rules while holding true to our roots. We hope that you will find our menu innovative, uninhibited, and distinctly fun! Incomplete parties will not be sat until complete.

"Several options of sushi with a vast variety of types. We picked 3 rolls for 2 adults and it was plenty. There is also a great kids menu. Service was efficient and polity. Tables are very close to each other and it is loud. (young crowd, we were the only ones with kids!) Will go back!"

"The Hapa on Pearl is hit or miss. More hit than miss usually. this occasion was great. great food, great service, all around great time. the previous time to pearl was opposite. we did not have a dedicated server. everything was off. sushi fell apart, no one took a drink order, no one checked on us. it is not always that bad that is why I will keep coming back!"

"The staff at the Boulder Hapa location are exceptionally talented at customer services. My waitress this time around was polite and attentive to our needs, even correcting a mistake she had accidentally made while ordering our food. We were compensated appropriately (though really there wasn't that urgent of a need to) and it was much appreciated! I'm glad I got to spend my birthday consuming such great food as well, complements to the sushi chef!"

"Unfortunately every experience cannot be a good one at Hapa. we were never officially greeted by a server. someone ran by and dropped off two waters (one with 2 lemons and one with 0 lemons). about 7-10 minutes later another person walked up and took our sushi order. didn't ask if we had questions, didn't even ask if we were ready, just took the sheet. luckily my fiancé and I come to Hapa in boulder, and Denver and knew what which sushi rolls we wanted. never a drink order, never a thank you. our rolls were falling apart and flavorless.there are many more things I could complain about but I feel like i have said enough. i understand restaurants are hit or miss, but was disappointed when hapa was a miss."

"This is a good place to eat sushi. Their happy hour is pretty awesome if you are looking for good cheap sushi. The past 2 times I have been the staff has been a little slower and not as attentive as I would like and it was not because they were swamped. Overall the food is good and the staff is nice. I will go back because I think it is worth the money."

"It was my brother's last night in town and we knew it would be busy so we made a reservation, which the hostess said she gave away to other people. Her excuse was that "they were just so busy." We ended up having to sit at the sushi bar which was disappointing."
