Chicago Cut Steakhouse
Chicago Cut Steakhouse redefines Chicago's steak-centric dining scene with signature USDA-certified prime beef, which is hand cut and dry aged on site. A variety of made-to-order cuts are joined by eight different fish options, shellfish, chops, an array of hearty side dishes and more on the extensive dinner menu. The restaurant also serves the city's best "power breakfast," as well as a dynamic lunch service featuring carving stations in the bar area with prime rib, ham and turkey. Chicago Cut's expansive surroundings feature a lively bar area framed by dramatic wine display cases; vibrant red velvet banquettes and spacious dining tables; and sweeping views of the Chicago River. A sprawling outdoor patio lining the riverside attracts diners throughout the day and well into the evening. Special touches abound, such as the restaurant's global wine list, which is presented to the guest via an interactive iPad program.

"Went to dinner expecting it to be good but it was superb. Food was fantastic, service attentive but not intrusive and pricing expected for Chicago. The only drawback was being a visitor to the city I was not aware how often the train would come through to drown any conversation. What the restaurant controlled was perfect but would suggest they consider asking patrons if the train sounds would be disruptive to them. Just a thought."

"I ate a lot of Prime Rib in my time and this truly is Prime Beef ...that ican be called Prime Rib. "The Best " It cut like butter and the sides were very good. "We went there for an early Mother's Day dinner and the place was packed at even 5.30 pm. We requested a table by the window.and were graciously accomodated. The view was spectacular and the room warm and bustling, but not too loud. The service was good, the food excellent. I liked the fact tha tthe dinner menu had options at different price points (although we all ordered steaks!!) as did the wine list. The files, the skirt steak and the delmonico were perfectly cooked and presented. The scalloped potatoes and lobster mac and cheese were great. The dessert -- a chocolate raspberry cake was outstanding, a great finale."

"We were 3 and had a 9PM reservation. Our show ended earlier and we could come by 6:15PM on a Friday evening. They were very flexible and found us a table immediately. Great food, delicious steaks and lamb chops. The knives were wonderful and we ended up buying 8 each."

"I booked a reservation here during a business trip to Chicago as they were rated in the top 20.
Let me say the service by the staff was impeccable. They were very attentive and so courteous.
But where they really shined was the great steaks and food. The flavor was awesome, the cooking and grilling was perfect.
They have outdoor seating and I would recommend trying for that if possible.
So I would go back once I visit Chicago again.

"I had a great experience on my visit to Chicago Cut. They food was really good, especially the bone-in filet and the truffle scalloped potatoes. Our table wasn't ready at the reservation time but I've worked in the restaurant industry and you can't always control how long guests dine, especially at the prices they are paying in fine dining. "We enjoyed our meal at Chicago Cut and the service was good but we did feel a bit rushed. In fact, we were done with a full dinner (cocktails, salads, entree, dessert) in 1 1/2 hours. There are plenty of other steakhouses at this level where that would not be the case. That said, the space is beautiful."

"We came here for dinner on our anniversary, which fell on a Wednesday. It was jam packed, but we were lucky enough to get seated right by the window that over looked the river. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. The food came out very quickly, and was delicious. They presented everything very well and even gave us a complimentary cake for our anniversary! I had the fillet and my husband had the New York Strip. My fillet was just as they described it would be, as i had requested medium-rare-plus. It was very juicy and just melted in your mouth. I would definatly go back again."

"We had a fabulous time. The service was spot-on and the food was fantastic. The interactive wine list offered to us on an iPad made ordering fun. The noise level was fine and allowed for conversation, which was a nice change of pace. The music is often blaring at other restaurants making it impossible to visit. We really loved the skyline view from our table too."

"My wife and I dined here for the first time this past weekend. Our service was excellent and the steaks and sides were delicious. There was nothing about our experience that would keep me from recommending Chicago Cut. But I wouldn't put it on the top of my list of Chicago steakhouses. I've more enjoyed both the vibrant scene at Mastro's and David Burke's, and the old-Chicago charm of Gibson's and Gene & Georgetti's. Chicago Cut was an also-ran for me."

"We were in Chicago visiting for the first time and after speaking with several different people decided on either Chicago Cut or Gibson's. Although Gibson's is a Chicago favorite, we decided to stay close to our hotel and give Chicago Cut a try. We were very happy with the prompt service and overall ambiance. They were attentive down to the littlest detail. I will absolutely go back."

"I have to say that the reason I chose this place was because they had a vegetarian option other than salad. Their vegetable stack was amazing. Wes was our server and was fantastic. He was able to answer all of my questions regarding which dishes were and weren't veg friendly and wasn't annoyed that a vegetarian was seated in his section. Usually servers are MIA or over attentive/disruptive...Wes was neithter. His service was great and added to our fantastic experience. The next time I go back I will be requesting his section."

"Best service in town! The staff and management could not be nicer, more accommodating or more professional. The atmosphere is more akin to a NYC vs CHG in terms of people watching and ambiance. I am IN LOVE with the french fries and the lobster salad. Frankly, I am not much of a carnivore but, despite this, Chicago Cut is my favorite business lunch spot in town."
