Langermann's Restaurant Group defines Low-Country cooking. Our Fresh Kitchen combines comfort food with a special twist. Shrimp and Grits are a favorite. We are a friendly neighborhood place with the hint of a drawl - all crafted a little slower to accentuate the rich tastes and simple elegance. "I love fried green tomatoes and I was very excited to see Langermann's offered them. I was very disappointed in them. The batter had zero flavor and the sauces were bland as bland could be.

"The Brunch at Langermann's is always delightful, The Mother's day Brunch featured the Shrimp and Grits station as well as the Omelet bar.. The Southern style cousine makes for a hearty meal, not for those on a diet but worth the extra calories!

"This is my new favorite place. I love the food, I love the decor, and the service is always so warm and friendly, albeit a little slow at times. The crab dip is terrific, no Old Bay which gives it a completely different taste than others in town. The catfish fingers were crispy and light and not fishy, and the Cape Fear scallops are fantastic, a very different preparation from any others I've tried. The hangar steak is perfect with the risotto, and the shrimp and grits was well received by my friend. Great food, good prices, and a parking lot in the city! What more could you ask for?!"

"I have been to Langermanns >5 times and I have never been disappointed in the food. And that means the restaurant is consistent. Everything I have tried is delicious. The waiters are lacking social skills, but don't let that ruin your experience or the taste of the food!"

"Another great dinner at Langermann's! The short rib special that my husband got was melt in your mouth delicious. I always think I will try something new but can't seem to stay away from the shrimp and grits. They were awesome as usual! Maybe next time I will try something new.

"We discovered Langermann's in January and have returned 4 times since our original visit, each time introducing new friends to our favorite brunch spot. The food is really good and consistently so. We have only done brunch, and we have tried all of the entrees.
Everyone raved about all of them. The "extra" buffet in addition to the entrée is wonderful - we especially love the salad."

"My wife and I went here for dinner with a Groupon and we're really happy we did. This place has outstanding food and good service. We shared the harvest salad which was really excellent and fresh. I had the Charleston Shrimp and Grits which I understand is their signature dish. The shrimp were cooked just right and the grits were more like orzo and really good too. The sausage slices were good too, although a little salty for my taste. My wife had the BBQ salmon with corn and green beans. I think this was a daily special, as it's not on their regular menu. Again, really fresh and cooked just right and the salmon piece was nice and thick. For desert we had the bread pudding which was a generous piece and by then we were too full to eat much."

"Overall, the restaurant was busy and almost every table had guests. The food overall was mediocre. The bread we received was dry and seemed to be from the bottom a batch made earlier. The fried green tomatoes were dried and there was not really sauce or anything to moisten them. The lamb and salmon were moist. Cheese orzo was fair, would have been better as mac and cheese or cheese grits. The waitress said the bread pudding was one of their top desserts so we ordered it. The bread pudding was overly cinnamon flavored and tasted as though it was made in advance then microwaved. Needless to say, we will not be rushing to return nor recommend the restaurant."

"Langermann's was great. We started with the crab dip, which was my favorite part of the meal. I had the hanger steak with asparagus and corn risotto in a spicy tomato sauce, and my friend had the shrimp and grits. Both were very good and held up well as leftovers for the next day. We ended the meal with the orange creme brulee, which was light and delicious. Our server was great, she really kept on top of things and gave us good recommendations (that crab dip!)and she was friendly and knowledgable. We plan to return to this restaurant, this is a keeper."

"This wasn't our 1st time eating at Langermann's, however it was our 1st brunch. When I called to get more info on the brunch menu, I spoke to someone who was NOT knowledgeable of the menu, which was a disappointing. But with the promise that this brunch would have "many more options than the regular brunch buffet" we made a reservation. The staff was pretty accomodating, as we had a baby AND arrived late. The food was pretty good, although I did not eat any of the entrees (didn't like my spare ribs hash). Our mimosas were REALLY late (the waiter forgot about them). On our way out, the people at the reception declined to help with the door, even though we were struggling to get the baby out of the restaurant. This is typical of Langermann's."

"My husband and I took my visiting stepdaughter to Langermann's last weekend, and we all agreed, it was an excellent experience! Everything we ordered tasted delicious, especially the ribs appetizer and my Chilean sea bass entree. While there was a slight problem with the lamb shank being overcooked and dry, the server responded with a great deal of concern and promptly took the lamb off our check (instead of replacing it, since we were pretty full anyway, at that point). We were there during happy hour and were impressed by the very reasonable HH prices as well! We will definitely go back to Langermann's!"

"My son and I went to Easter brunch at Langerman's. It was our first time. I was interested because of the Southern cuisine. They did not disappoint. We started out with Shrimp and Grits. They were absolutely amazing. I had the Eggs Chesapeake which was a crabcake on top of an English muffin and topped with a poached egg and Hollandaise sauce. My son had the Langerman's Hash, spicy sausage, short ribs and corned beef hash top with eggs prepared anyway you want. The desserts were the perfect size. I washed everything down with a perfect Bloody Mary. I have already recommended Langerman's to several of my friends."

"The food I got was excellent, strip steak was cooked correctly (medium-rare). Croquettes that came with it were really really delicious. Fried catfish appetizer was excellent - I'm from the midwest so I do appreciate some good fried catfish. Her mahi-mahi was above average, but not stellar.
Desert was average - looked much better than it tasted (apple cobbler) was luke-warm. Could have been cooked longer, crust was average.
However, it was VERY LOUD. Nothing to absorb the sound bouncing around I guess. I was not particularly happy with that. I like to hear what people across the table are saying."

"This restaurant never disappoints. The menu is always wonderful and the gluten free menu is so substantial, that it almost equal to the regular menu in dishes offered. The taste is superb!"

"Because I visit Langermann's so often and my last experience was less than the great experience that I am used to having, I was encouraged to come back by a representative of the restaurant. I made my reservation at 730pm but ended up having to modify my time to 8pm then still ended up being late (I hate that). I got there and the hostess was completely understanding and remembered me from my last visit. She seated us and welcomed me back.
This time I ordered the Cod and I must say that I have a new favorite. The fish was cooked perfectly and so was everything that accompanied it, which was the fingerling potatoes and wild mushrooms. Writing about it makes me hungry all over again!...

"Lobster bisque was room temperature but tasty. The bread was cold and catfish fingers were undercooked. Seating is too close If you stretched out your arm, you would touch the persons at the next table. I will not be returning."

"Everything was okay. No one in my party was unhappy with their food but we all felt it was just okay. Nothing besides the cornbread was spectacular & worth going back. This place is also very pricy for unmemorable dishes. Beware, small plate is super small & is best described as a sample tasting."

"Langermann's is a big place and very noisy which is okay if you can have great food and service but Langermann's did not. Most of those at the table were hungry and they are used to just average places so I did not send anything back but noted their complaints. We waited more than 10 minutes for anyone to arrive with water or bread. The bread was stale, the salad was days old, and cocktails are expensive for what they were. The main dishes were good but the starters were warm, not hot. If you are not used to really good restaurants, have kids, or are a youngster, this might all be fine but for adults used to a good restaurant, this was worse than a chain restaurant and more expensive. This was a first and last for us."
