"The noise level in Vivace is incredibly distracting. I remembered it from a previous visit, and this time when we walked in, my husband opined that it almost felt like a school cafeteria. We were seated inside and literally had to yell at each other across the table, so we asked to be moved outside. This turned out to be a good idea, because it was beautiful and quiet. The food is good, the service was very good, but this is not enough to make me go back and shout through my meal. This was a Wednesday night- great that their business is thriving, but not a pleasant experience inside the restaurant. And by the way, we're not that old....."

"Love the atmosphere of the outdoor seating area on the patio; great for people watching or to enjoy a warm Tucson evening. The menu has old favorites like Grilled Asparagus & Parma Prosciutto for a first course, or my favorites Crab Filled Breaded Chicken Breast or Roasted Shrimp with Seafood Stuffing for main plates, as well as daily specials. Don't forget to sample the gelato for dessert, which is excellent. The food is always good and the waitstaff attentive and helpful."

"We were celebrating a graduation and this was a great choice for our lunch. Everyone at the table all eight of us were happy with everything. The food was very good, the service was excellent. We had a great waiter who attended to us. I highly recommend Vivace."

"It was a specal get awa for me and my wife to celebrate her brthday. The setting was perfect, outdoor dining was wonderful. The food was amazing and was served at just the right pace; not too quickly, but not slow at all. The staff was wonderful, polite and friendly and took perfect care of us. "When looking for evening plans for an anniversary, Vivace was recommended by a friend. Best advice I ever received. Some of the best food I have had in a while along with the best service I have had in a really long while. You can't go wrong with any decision when it comes to the menu but if you need some help, the waiters are really helpful. A "must try" for anyone!"

"We have had dinner at Vivace every time we travel to Tucson. The restaurant is beautiful but not pretentious, the food is fresh, delicious and creative. The wine list is more than adequate but not expensive. It is everything we like in a fine restaurant. The staff seem to have been there for quite a while and work well together. The owner seems to be loved by the local patrons."

"outsatnding food, customer service. Had my vendors in from out of town. One was from Chicago and used to be in the restaurant business. He said his meal would rival anything in Chicago. Was the best meal he has had in months.

"Our table was right next to the door leading to the patio which was busy so did not enjoy the table location. I enjoyed my dinner salmon and shrimp and my sparkling wine choice. My husband thought his pasta dish was ok. Restaurant provided a dessert for our anniversary we were celebrating that I could not eat because of dietary restrictions but still nice thought. We were going to go for another occasion and my husband checked to see if I could eat since am gluten free but there weren't too many choices which is usually the case with Italian restaurants."

"As usual, we had a lovely time with a great meal served promptly with elegance by Candace, who was very busy as the restaurant was full. My wife had the Eggplant Parmesan, which she greatly enjoyed. I had the antipasto with extra steamed spinach - what a delight! The members of the wait-staff were all very busy yet served the crowd with distinction. We always feel happy and welcome at Vivace. It's the people who make Vivace so very fine. The chefs prepare consistently fine meals of excellent quality food. The greeters, table-busers, bartenders, waiters & waitresses all are so diligent and friendly. We'll be back! Next time, we'll make time for Vivace's signature tirimisu with the fine hot coffee and a glass of Bristol Creme Sherry!"

"The service was great, very attentive and gracious. The food was delicious. The only problem we had was our table was a little large for a party of five and where we were seated was very noisy, it was difficult to speak to someone across the table from you. But overall, I definately reccomend."

"Our group of 7 enjoyed lunch on 4/20 at noon. The food was excellent including the desserts. The service could have been better. The waiter, Istvan, was definitely overworked trying to cover too many tables. We had to ask to have drinks refilled and waited too long to get his attention. Since he is a good waiter, we suggest you have busboys clear and reset tables, rather than have waiters do that. In addition to servicing many tables, Istvan cleared and reset 3 or 4 tables when he could have given more attention to his filled tables. He worked very fast, but there was too much for him to do."

"Went a bit a later and sat on the patio--weather was divine. Our server was working on the updsells, but did a great job. My friend and I weren't that hungry, I had the antipasto for two and more than half home for lunch the next day, it had a nice mix of cheeses, roasted red peppers, nuts and bread. Also had a Caesar salad which was solid but not the greatest I've ever eaten. Overall, we would go back again when we were hungrier and try some of those pastas. :-)"

"Vivace has been one of our favorite restaurants for many years. Four of us enjoyed lunch last week, but one of us was bitterly disappointed with the Lasagna. The plate contained 2-3 inches of excellent Lasagna noodles covered by an enormous amount of sauce. It was as though the kitchen had come to the end of a tray and disposed of the last small piece. We did not mind the ambient noise since happy people at other tables deserve to laugh and shout, but the service was slow. The saving grace was that our party was left undisturbed after the meal and had the pleasant opportunity to talk as long as we wanted.

"We liked Vivace Restaurant so much, we returned the next night for another outstanding dinner on the patio! While it seemed a bit noisy, but certainly still comfortable inside the restaurant, the outside had the delightful ambience of an Italian plaza at night. Our servers were very knowledgeable, interested in doing their best for us, and clearly happy when we complimented them and the wonderful, authentically Italian food they brought us. It looked like all the offerings on the menu were carefully prepared - it would be hard to single out one of them to include here. Thank you for two very enjoyable evenings from this couple who has been traveling and eating in many different restaurants here and abroad for more than fifty years."

"A good mix of traditional Italian-american favorite foods and more traditional northern Italian dishes. Servings are over-sized as they are in most American restaurants but not ridiculously so. I enjoyed the vegetables (which in most places one gets too few of) and the veal - neither of which were over salted. Service is okay but a bit slow given that the restaurant wasn't full."

"Wonderful, simply wonderful. My friend, Dave, and I are long-time Vivace fans dining here several times a month. As we entered, it was obvious that the restaurant was full. Glad we had reservations, we were treating a lovely lady from Scottsdale to her FIRST lunch at Vivace. Candace took great care of the three of us, making our guest feel especially welcome. We each had the swordfish and enjoyed it immensely. Thank you for another excellent meal. Our quest, a sophisticated Chicagoite, current VEEP of the Arizona Society of Professional Hypnotists, was quite favorably impressed. We had a great time."

"You step in from a strip mall parking lot to get transported to Italy in a dining room that is quite lovely. Service was attentive (if a tad flustered at times) and the food was great.
