"Bon Appetit was very good. It seemed a little dated inside, the view is great, but with the mirrors in the dining room you feel a little weird. Our food was very good, service was very good, but something was missing - perhaps it was an older crowd."

"Waiter repeatedly stood blocking the sunset telling personal stories and had to be asked to leave. Salmon was very fishy tasting and was sent back. Chef did not want to re-fire the dish so he told the waiter to tell us it would be from the same cut of fish and woulf take a long time to get another. I will NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN."

"Sort of a last minute choice but we were accommodated promptly and everything was quite fine. Bon Appetit is always a great choice for midday dining on a Sunday -- good for getting a jump on the sun angle and enjoying a great view.. Both the entrees were a treat -- rack of lamb and lobster tail."

"We were a group of 4. This was a special day to all of us. Myself, I didn't know I was in for a Surprise.
Shortly after arriving home(Largo) I became violently ill. I never had been this sick befor. The grouper tasted fine but it sure didn't remain fine. So, Thank you for the extra. I don't think we will be back any time soon, and I'm sure many of our friends will not be seeing you soon either."

"I brought a friend to lunch on a Wednesday. We had the BEST Waiter, Francis from Boston. He was on top of everything and made sure he did not hoover. The food was excellent, from the staff at the reservation desk, Rita are lovely bread/rolls person but most of all Francis. He made us feel special and his knowledge of the menu and wine list was top draw. Thank you all for the best lunch. I will be back!

"We have been going to Bon Appetit for years. The Food is wonderful, the atmosphere is fantastic, the Service is perfect, and the view is impeccable. We go there for all special occasions as well as just ordinary lunch and dinner out.. It's a 30 minute drive for us and we wouldn't do that if it wasn't so special."

"I took my mom out for an early Mother's Day meal on Saturday. The waiter tried to hurry us, even though the table next to us had been there long before us and was still there. I was offended by this, considering the expensive pricing. He dumped a to go container on the table rather than filling it himself. I gave him 15% and that was generous. The food was pricey but very good."

"Took my wife here for Mother's Day. It was the first time we dined here but it won't be the last. The quality of the food was top notch, even the fruit was really fresh and high quality. The rack of lamb and veal were excellent. Service was very good: unobtrusive, yet everything arrived and and was taken away just at the right intervals. We never had to wait for refills, or look around to get anyone's attention for service. The waitstaff was friendly and professional. As I anticipated, the view was indeed amazing - one of the best waterfront views in the area from ground level. If you are in the area, I highly recommend a stop at this restaurant. It's far from inexpensive, but well worth it for a special date or occasion."

"If you are looking for the best view in town this is it! The menu is outstanding and the service was perfect. Always there when you need it but not overbearing. We ate inside due to cooler weather but a large outdoor dining is available with the same views. There is also an outdoor bar area that is separated from the dinng so noise is kept to a minimum when eating. There are multiple romantic tables for two but tables for 10 as well for the larger groups and families. The menu has a great seafood variety along with quality steaks plus daily specials to satisfy every taste. I highly recommend Bon Appetit when in Dunedin."

"Had a very good experience the night we went for dinner. We have been to this Resturant on previous visits to Clearwater. On other reviews I do have to agree, that some servers were not friendly, and seemed to be bothered by any special request. Our server was very pleasant, and gave us some recommendations on the menu, the were spot on. Food was worth the trip back."

"We were celebrating our anniversary and the view was spectacular. Our waiter was very annoying, distracted, loud and not attentive. The lobster cocktail was heavenly and the louis sauce or whatever it was was out of this world. Yummy!. I had the small filet but it seemed to be tenderized. Unfortunately, the salads were all warm and soggy. Very disappointing. My spouse had the salmon on his salad and he loved it. The warm fresh rolls were crusty and delicious with real butter. The music set the mood and was delightful. We will definitely be back but not with that waiter."

Waiter Eman was excellent, knowledgable of menu & suggestions of pairing foods and attentive. Food was superb! The grouper, redfish and lobster dishes were fresh, melt in your mouth and perfectly seasoned and prepared. The spinach salad and cucumber salads flavorable and fresh. Creme brulee with tasty fresh berries and coffee drinks were perfect ending. Atmosphere relaxed and scenic view on a sunny day lovely. Definitely returning soon for seafood dishes which were exceptionally fresh, nice portions and scrumptious!"

"Unfortunately this visit to Bon Appetit did not fare well! We paid $45 each for the Easter Day brunch, held in the upper level. Our reservations were for 1:30PM and althought we arrived a little early, they graciously sat us.
My disappointment was the food. I have eaten many times in the dining room and had a marvelous meal,not this time. This brunch was a total failure for the money. The Eggs Benedict were both cold and unappealing, the "salmon" appetizer was a fishy smelling imititation, the Prime rib was NOT and lamb was shank meat! Very disappointed for the cost!"

"We went to Bon Appetit for Easter lunch and it was an excellent choice. The setting is beautiful, scenic and relaxing, service was above and beyond, and the food was spectacular! Having attended special events on the restaurant boat, banquet room events, lunches and dinners, I would highly suggest this venue for everyone to try."

"My family went to Bon Appepit for Easter brunch. At $45 a head, I expected better. The prime rib was overlooked and cold, cocktail sauce had not been put out on the buffet table, the macaroni and cheese was like it came out of a box. The chicken and fish had obviously been in the pans a long time before being brought out. There was no piece of the buffet that I would say was good. The desserts were better, but I would guess that none were made there.
The view was great, but for $200 for four, it was obvious they did not care about the food. Shame, as they could have done it right and earned my return business. The people at the two tables closest to ours felt the same way. Save your money, plenty of good food elsewhere."

"Despite some misses (yucca fries with exceptionally hot dipping sauce to spice up the very bland fries), everything we ordered was fresh and flavorful. The location is very attractive, right next to the marina with a view of the Gulf. Go early for dinner or you will be one of the few guests in the dining room. Better yet, go for lunch on a warm day on the outside patio. Very relaxing."

"I dined at your restaurant on March 8 with two others and greatly enjoyed it. Swordfish was superb, Chaba, our waiter, was perfect, and noise level was tolerable.
On March 4 I was not a satisfied or happy customer. Our waiter, Eddie, was unprofessional from the very beginning--- incorrect salad dressing, selecting the wines without asking us, we wanted the House Brand, never asked if we wanted coffee, we had to get his attention for a refill, AND PLUNKED THE BILL DOWN WITHOUT A WORD OF THANKS!
Perhaps he was having a bad day, but the coupons the manager gave me do not make up for the inattentive service. We were three older women....does that have anything to do with it??? Jean Nothmann"
