"Vin Santo is in my neighborhood and i walked there with Toronto friends one recent balmy evening. Perfect choice for occasion. Felt very continental. Service was perfectly paced. My friend was delighted to find her favorite 12-year Scotch available. I ordered the ravioli and each mouthful was heavenly. I like to taste both the individual flavors and the combined flavors at the same time and this dish was perfect. I tasted my friends' salmon and chicken Marsala. Both wonderful. BTW, they do an authentic caprese salad and although no dessert this time, the tiramisu is tremendous. While there, I watched as one of the diners walked over to the kitchen window and thanked the chef by name. Wish i knew the chef well enough to do that."

"This restaurant is run by two restauranteers who started the restaurant about 15 years ago. It is one of those hole in the wall places that has good ambience and is kept a half-secret - keep it in business but not so busy you can't get a table! The pasta is excellent and homemade. Portions are moderately sized - enough to share if you do the whole dinner experience from appetizers through dessert. Wait staff is charming but unobtrusive and never too far away to address your desires. The place is child friendly with booster and high chairs, although you should consider a babysitter if you want to avoid disturbing other tables too much (small restaurant). Several tasty,gluten free options."

The staff from hostess and bar tender to waiter and bussing staff know their jobs and they know their menu selections and wine pairings. We can't wait to go back!"

"We are never disappointed here, and the servings are overly generous.
You will not have a Marinara Sauce like this one anywhere else. Everything is fresh, and beautifully presented. We asked for extra bread to mop up the liquid that the mussels came ine.

"A monthly dinner club group from my office visited Vin Santo Trattoria on a Tuesday evening recently and had a wonderful time. There were 10 of us in our group and we ordered a variety of appetizer, main course and dessert items. The Salad Mista is superb--wonderful balsamic vinagrette dressing, pastas and fish entrees were wonderful (although we were advised that the restaurant ran out of the Salmon dish that was being featured--which seemed odd as we had a 5:30 reservation) and those who had dessert really liked these. Our serve was attentive and explained things well when we had questions. We will definitely be back!"

"My husband and I have come to Vin Santo the past three years for Valentine's Day and have never been disappointed. The food is always wonderful, and the service is always great. The atmosphere isn't super fancy, but it's simple and charming and makes me assume that the place if family-run."

"This is my second time and I was not as impressed as the first. Service was good, but we were told that dinner would take 30 minutes, so we ordered an appetizer. In less than 15 minutes our dinner was served. We felt rushed. After eating the ravioli special I felt horribly full all evening. This won't be my first pick next time. Husband loved the lasagna. The table we were served at was not covered in any linens and appeared to be an unfinished wood which made me think it would be difficult to clean."
