"Honestly, my third experience to have high tea so I now can make comments, my first experience @ Toronto @ Windsor Arm, 2nd @ the Ritz's in London. I find that most High Tea place a special place to celebrate a very special occassion with family and friends , a hidden gem in busy NY city , intimate and quite place to have high tea. we love the ambiance, the sandwich and scones and selection of pastry. I appreciate that this place is more intimate and quite peaceful place where you can have conversation with your love ones."

Review 3 for The Pembroke Room - The Lowell New York
"Superb food. Servers slightly confused or failed to prepare us for the length of time to deliver our drinks. In any event, absent the excessive darkness, great time."

Review 5 for The Pembroke Room - The Lowell New York
"Dinner is pre-theater 5-7pm seatings only in this elegant 2nd floor room with round tables, corner sofas, drapes and fresh flowers. FP dinner selections were 3-apps, 3-entrees, 3-deserts all wonderful. Being the only table on a Tuesday night, everything was personal. As they were out of their 'house' chardonnay, Cakebread was offered! BTW, we recognized well-known entertainers transiting the quaint hotel lobby."

Review 8 for The Pembroke Room - The Lowell New York
"My afternoon tea experience at The Pembroke Room in The Lowell was splendid. They accomadated my gluten free/vegetarian companion with gluten free scones, pastries, and sandwiches, which she said were absolutely delicious. The room was decorated for Easter in a tasteful way and the selection of food complimented the Easter holiday. It made for a lovely time."

"Had Afternoon tea. Quiet, peaceful and relaxing and was not rushed. Beautiful selection of tasty goods and varied teas to choose from. A nice way to catch up with someone over a leisurely tea service."

Review 13 for The Pembroke Room - The Lowell New York
"My wife and I recently had tea in The Pembroke Room. The atmosphere was nice, albeit with some tables that are very close together. The service was marginal with each of the three attendants acting as if they had never performed their functions before. The sandwiches were the best part of the food and it declined from there. The scones were dense, brittle and dry. The various sweets were just okay - nothing special nor particularly good. Overall a disappointing experience and we would not recommend The Pembroke Room."

"Absolutely outstanding High Tea. The availability of a gluten free service was the drawing point because on my daughter's celiac disease. Her experience was wonderful as the food served to her looked and tasted the same as the regular menu. We will do this again when we are back in the city."

Review 15 for The Pembroke Room - The Lowell New York
"Excellent in terms of service, food, and ambience. The "Classic Tea" contained all the elements of a traditional tea service and the food was very high quality. I would definitely return and would recommend the Pembroke Room others seeking a high quality tea at a reasonable cost!"

Review 17 for The Pembroke Room - The Lowell New York
"This is a lovely place for afternoon tea. The hotel and the tearoom is gorgeous, very old-fashioned and Victorian and luxurious. They have a really nice and extensive tea menu, and although it is pricey, the food is delicious and the service is great. It is perfect for a special occasion either on a date or with a few close friends."

Review 18 for The Pembroke Room - The Lowell New York
"An extremely pretty room, with an elegant tea service. The food was delicious and the service was unobtrusive and helpful. I do think it's weird that they serve scones after the pastries, but we saved room. It was a perfect place for a quiet and relaxed conversation. We were there for 3 hours savoring our tea."

Review 19 for The Pembroke Room - The Lowell New York
"Good spot for quiet afternoon tea, but overall not my cup of tea. I also called them afterwards because I lost a personal item there, which they sounded like they weren't really going to keep an eye out and look for it and never got a call back."
