"We were looking for a place to have dessert and wine and we definitely found it!! We live about an hour away but we would drive back in a heartbeat. The atmosphere was perfect. Relaxing but still lively enough that it was entertaining. The menu was very appealing and the service was outstanding, I wish we would have eaten lunch there as well! Thank you for a great experience!!"

"The best thing about the Underdog is that you can taste several wines from different wineries while you eat. It's like going wine tasting w/o having to drive to different places.
The menu is limited and food is OK, not really great or memorable. But it's not bad food...
The service is a little slow given the number of patrons when we were there. The tables are really close together where we sat, maybe 9 or 10 inches."

"Well prepared and tasty food. However, my wife was looking forward to some real champagne, not the three odd choices you had. Also, unfortunately, you were not serving the one item, tuna tartar, she really wanted. It was on the menu and you hadn't run out of it (we were there early), you just didn't have it that night."

"Thank you Underdog. Vonnie was an amazing - personable, friendly. Timing of all food items and wine was very good - and that is so important when dining out. We love the small plates concept as it allows patrons to try a wide variety of foods and also lets the Chef and his staff show their stuff. The wine pairings were very appropriate and we both discovered new "favorite" wines. Beautiful location, comfy. A bit chilly after sunset but the heaters and complimentary blankets solved that problem.. We will definitely return when we are again in LIvermore! Thank you for an amazing evening."

"The food is always great. The servers were fairly unprofessional though. They could really use some training. A lot of "yeah" "un-huh" "what?" Not that we expext super high end staffing, but still good to know how to treat your gerneral type of customers. Not sure if I would bring my business groups here again based on that."

"One of the better places to eat in Livermore, but with new chef on board we definitely missed the homemade potato chips and the food quality was not as good as before. The flat bread pizza dough was too thick and not enough cheese or toppings, food prices seemed high and there seemed to be a lack of diversity on the menu. Still a great place to try flights of wine for reasonable prices. Service remains solid but they are very quick to pick up plates as soon as you put the last piece of food in your mouth. The ambiance is great either inside or out. Good place to bring visitors."

"I LOVE this place. Great tapas style menu that is great for groups and sampling. The wine list, being attached to Concannon winery, is superb. The staff is knowledgeable and can give great pairing recommendations. I have been here many times now and am always impressed how great the good is and how friendly the staff is. "My only challenge was in finding the restaraunt once I was on premisis. It was a bit confusing upon arrival and the signs could have been a bit clearer. It's probably a lot more obvious in warmer weather when people can eat outside.
Food was enjoyable, and I enjoyed the wine flights. Great wine selection and a fun way to taste some local wines. Prices on the food were a bit on the high side but not bad for an occasional treat.
The live music was a nice treat."

"Maybe it was my own fault for not realizing it was a "small plate" wine bar, but I went with a girlfriend for lunch spent over $70 and left hungry and disappointed. For that price the food should've been amazing, every bite a treat, but nothing was outstanding st all. Mini tacos were hard and dry, the tuna tartare tower was tasteless... I guess that's probably why the restaurant was literally empty during peak lunch hours.
Maybe it's better at night or weekend with just wine tasting and a few items as appetizers, then go to dinner at Wente!"

"Small plates may be putting it lightly- it it more like small bites than plates. All of the food was great, but smaller than I expected. Food was brought out hot first, with the cheese and salads coming out of sequence at the end. Strange, but not so bad when you are basically snacking and drinking anyway. Although they do not have a gluten-free menu, the chef modified a few dishes for my wife to enjoy. I will return but with more of a lunch mindset."

"Our group of six tried a number of menu items and people were pleased with the flavor and quality of the food. That said, the service was exceptionally slow and disorganized. Our server neglected to explain portion sizes or make recommendations for our table. Our drinks, although ordered all together, came out over a 20 minute stretch of time. Two out of three of the appetizers we ordered were forgotten and then neglected to be removed from our bill. Food service, like drink service, was quite slow. It took our group of six nearly two hours to finish our meal. It impacted our wine tasting reservations. Not a great overall experience."
