"My girlfriend picked Lolo's because of the tapas style dining. The overall tone felt very much Mexican mixed Mediterranean, almost Spanish, but plays on Asian at times as well. Fried shrimp tacos are a must!"

"We went to Lolos for a Saturday lunch. It was surprisingly empty inside (most customers were sitting outside) and accommodated our wheelchair-bound mom. The ambience is charming. The food was refreshing (the tropical tacos and tuna tacos were great, and the service was great. The tacos are really appetizers so we split a larger chicken sandwich as well. The special nonalcoholic watermelon mint drinks were great but (unbeknownst to us) cost $5 each and we kept reordering because the water was terrible. The meal cost us about $130 for 4 people, quite an expensive lunch for no alcohol and no dessert."

"First of all, this is a Mexican fusion tapas place. The food is good, the presentation is better and the service is excellent. with yhat said their platillos are original and they look great. Food is really tasty, their menu is not that extensive, so it is a easy pick. I would say to skip the menu and go for the special, you can't go wrong. The cocktails are great and somewhat creative and sophisticated. Top tip! This place is great for first dates."

"The food was average. Our table of 4 shared the fried brussel sprouts, the tuna tacon, gambas bravas, wonton ravioli, and a roasted pepper dish (I can't recall what it was called). The only items that were really good and I would order again were the tuna tacon and the gambas bravas. Perhaps we didn't order well. The peppers dish shouldn't even be on the menu it was so unimpressive, untasty and uninteresting. The other items were OK. We had a table right by the front door. There is another room with a bar that seemed more more lively and interesting. Overall our experience was very mediocre and in a city filled with great restaurants, I wouldn't go back."

"We started going here right after they opened and have never had a bad meal or dish. Now with their popularity, it's more of an occasion place (since reservations are a must).
Lolo never disapoints! I would give 10 stars if I could."

"Is it Mexican? Not really, sort of Is it Spanish? Not really, sort of... It's impossible to describe, except that it's awesome. One dish after another surprises and delights. There is nothing like Lolo. And to top it off, they have a full bar with unique and tasty cocktails. Lolo is doing it right, whatever it is that they're doing."

"Great Restaurant All Around. Very creative food that I have not seen or tasted anywhere else. It is hard to create something new that is consistently good, but that is the case with Lolo. In the very vibrant part of Mission, so with outdoor seating, it is quite a nice experience. Go eat and have fun."

"I've taken two sets of out-of-town visitors to Lolo and both of them declared it their favorite restaurant experience in SF and asked to go back the next next time they were in town. The food is fantastic- a very creative take on Mexican like nothing I've ever had before. The staff is friendly and warm (and cute! Can I say that?), the wine was great, the environment is big fun, the music made me want to push back my chair and dance. I love Lolo. (Can you tell?)"

"My friends and I had a wonderful meal at Lolo. We ordered all small plates and wished we would have had room for more. The best Brussel sprouts ever and the Beets with goat cheese and carmelized onions were amazing. Also the Lamb sliders were stood out. Everything was wonderful and I would definitely come back. As the place is small it is advisable to make reservations a couple weeks in advance especially if you want to go on a weekend.

"My wife and I had a great time. All dishes were consistently very good. I enjoyed the tuna tacos and gambas bravas. Caesar's salad was also tasty, a little heavy on the dressing. Short rib and pork shoulder were very nice and I would also recommend the crème brule."

"The food is good...but the drinks... Here is a restaurant that knows how to make a Margarita...muy fuerte..Not watered down like most places... Guava Margarita forever! Also on one occasion We had the ribeye steak as it was a special it was to die for best $28 I ever spent! That should be part of the menu."
