"We did something out of our comfort zone and just asked the waiter to have the sushi chef design a platter for the four of us. It was fabulous. Our favorites were the "Nigiri-Zushi with toppings" as well as the truffle maguro appetizer."

"My fiancé and I have been here many times and this time the food was no good. He ordered a black pepper tuna sushi. He said the tuna was not bear as good as he expected. We both had the flat iron steak for dinner. Mine was wonderful and his was overlooked and tough. He was very disappointed with the entire meal. The server was slow but very friendly. I wouldn't recommend Uptown Sushi after this last trip."

"The menu does a good job of describing scrumptious food but the food falls short of the promise. I believe that the executive chef needs to do a taste review. Waitstaff is friendly but my green tea cup went empty twice during lunch. Pricing is high for so-so food in small portions."

"This is by far my favorite sushi spot in the city. The ambiance is great. The food is amazing. However, this was not my best experience there. The service was really not great this trip. Everything from our drinks to the check to an extremely long time. My friend and I picked this place to celebrate our new jobs, and we left there in a less than celebratory mood. We asked the waiter to split our bill between the two of us. He was notably irritated by this request so much so that he completely turned away from out table and directed his attention elsewhere until we told him who got what although it was just the two of us. This got us a 20 minute wait for the check to come back. Maybe just an off day, but this place is usually excellent."
