"Lovely but busy atmosphere. The grilled bass was excellent, good lasagna and fresh pizza with a tasty charred crust. The fried calamari is a wonderful mix of asparagus and calamari with two great dipping sauces. Antipasto meats are fresh and cut just before serving. We have been many times and always enjoy the freshness and the Italian authenticity."

"I had made a reservation a month or so before Mother's Day, and upon arriving at the restaurant, had no issues with checking in and getting seated. However, because we were a group of 6, we were placed near the back, which would have been fine with me, except that customer service was practically non-existent! The food arrived pretty quickly but, we had to wait a long time before getting more bread, getting water refilled, etc. and we couldn't flag down a waiter to pay our bill! I eventually had to walk it up to him. The food itself was pretty good - nice flavors, good portions (not small but not excessive either like I find with most places), diverse. The lamb cheek pasta was succulent and I really enjoyed the pianini(sp?)."

"The tiramisu is authentic - and that comment from my husband is saying a lot. The Italien wine list is well thought out and very extensive. Sitting under the awnings watching the Palo Alto foot and car traffic go by is entertaining. Nice local restaurant."

"The food is usually delicious, this time (we got the same dish as last time) it was a little too salty. Last time the service as incredible, this time the servers were still incredibly friendly but the service was a little slow (it was very busy). All in all it's got a great ambiance and good food but I wouldn't recommend going on Valentine's Day when it's too packed."

"I went for Valentine's Day. It was not romantic. First I had to fight for a good seat because I was seated right next to the kitchen. The hostess was nice and she did find a better seat for us. However, it was right next to a larger table and a family with a child arrived. Did not feel so romantic after that. Also, the food was not excellent, and for the price they charge it should be. The fillet mignon was not good at all. The gnocchi was ok."
