STK - The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas
STK artfully blends two concepts into one—the modern steakhouse and a chic lounge. A large central lounge area is furnished with creamy leather banquettes and textured crocodile tiles, and is surrounded by an elevated dining room for more formal dining. Theatrical lights illuminate each table, while a DJ creates an energetic vibe throughout the entire space. STK Las Vegas is located among the dining collection at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas . Executive Chef Stephen Hopcraft mans the kitchen of the high-energy venue making a home for New York’s trendy eatery on the infamous Las Vegas Strip.As anticipated, steak is the main attraction. With a female-friendly mindset, STK offers small, medium and large cuts of meat, as well as naturally raised options and market fresh fish entrees. Aside from steak, signature items include Parmesan Truffle Fries; Lil’ BRGs; Shrimp Rice Krispies; Sweet Corn Pudding; and Jump Lump Crab Salad.

"We headed back to STK at the Cosmopolitan to test it against our excellent dinner that we had at the restaurant in December. Our experience was even better this time around, and it had a lot to do with our outstanding server, Raquel who personifies the "gold standard" of restaurant staff in Vegas. So friendly, so helpful, and really on her game in terms of knowledge of the menu. While eating our filets (cooked perfectly) I couldn't help but look around the restaurant and think, "This is where all the cool kids go for dinner." Great music and low light ambiance. Trust me, it's a lot of fun and a seriously good meal."

"Food was good but we went there to meet friends we had not seen for a while and it was completely impossible to speak to the person sitting next to you. DJ Playing unbelievably loud dance and rap music. Unless you want to eat dinner in what feels like loud disco, recommend you skip this one."

"We had a number of reservations for a total of 30 people and they put us in their private room which was too small for our group and had very ugly decor. The food was good and the serviced was good. The only saving grace to be in the private room was that at least we could have a conversation because if we had been in the restaurant we couldn't have heard a word.

"We went to Vegas just to unwind and enjoy some R&R. We ended up picking STK because of the reviews we found about the atmosphere. The four of us are in our mid twenties, so we wanted a place to grab a great steak, but also not have to endure a extremely classy atmosphere where enjoying the wine too much is looked down upon. The modern, sleek design of STK was awesome. In some reviews people stated it was too loud. We did not find it to be that way at all. The music was just right. The only people I would not recommend STK to is quite, reserved people. Our waiter was great in all aspects. He answered all of our questions. The service was great. We were not rushed from our table at all. The steaks were exceptional."

"We had reservations (you basically can't get a table without them) but we ended up still waiting about 45 min for our table... but our server totally made up for it. Not only was the service amazing, he brought us champagne on the house and a comlimentary dessert sampler! As always, the food was great from start to finish. No complaints!"

"5 of us girls went here for 9:30pm on a Sunday night.
I think we had to wait almost an hour to be seated. It was so busy there wasn't much room to stand...and this is definitely a place you have to wear heels so our feet were killing us before dinner began.
2 of my friends ordered Cosmopolitans to drinks and they said they were horrible and they couldn't even drink them which is ironic considering the restaurant is in the Cosmopolitan hotel. They asked the waiter if they could be made again properly so he brought them new drinks but seemed annoyed.
What surprised me the most was there is only 2 washroom stalls for the whole restaurant and there was a huge lineup.
The food was amazing....definitely the best steak we've ever had but $$$!"

"We had an 8:30pm reservation. Our group got there around 8pm to get drinks at the bar. Between the great music from the DJ and the bar scene (people dancing, laughing and having fun), we had no idea when they came to seat us at 8:50pm that they were 20 mins behind schedule. And we didn't care. The people there that night ranged from their 20's to what looked like 70's. All really enjoying the night. We did however notice a few groups of people hanging around the hostess stand no doubt annoyed they were not yet seated. Here's my advice....if you've made plans to go there to critique the food or service (our waiter and our steaks were amazing by the way) or to have a quiet candlelit dinner, this is not for you. To everyone else...go!"

"Second visit and everything was amazing again. Great ambiance, great service and food outstanding! Love the sides, especially the mac n cheese, truffle fries and green beans. Also they brought a free dessert for the table and it was a bread pudding-delicious! Music was great but loud so conversation is tough but not impossible! Only small complaint was that we were a group of 27 and reserved 3 tables near each other but when we arrived the host said there was no note in our file. Not the end of the world but I had spoken to the restaurant 2 month prior to make sure they knew we wanted to sit together so it would have been nice if they had been able to make that happen. Otherwise, we had a blast and we'll be back again!"

"The food was good, however I had the sole dish and it was slightly 'fishy' but two people at our table ordered the bone in filet and said it was the best steak they ever had. We were with our elderly parents who found the noise level to be unbearable and the DJ turned up the volume as our dinner progressed to a nightclub level. I understand it's Vegas, but for fine dining with a high ticket price, I am not sure this is appropriate as I would have loved to have had conversation without screaming at our table. ;-)"

"Although I had seafood, the rest of our party had steak and thought it was perhaps the best they had eaten in a long time. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My only complaint would be that the wait staff allowed our water/tea to empty before refilling. They did get us out in plenty of time for our show."

"Group of 6 for a bachelor party dinner at this lively and hip steakhouse inside the Cosmopolitan Hotel/Casino. Nice bar/lounge area in front and most of the tables are snug circle booths built into the very modern dining room layout. Loved the loud and lively music but at times it was hard to hear over the conversation buzz and soundtrack. Fun atmosphere and energetic staff to match. Food was excellent and wide range of cuts of meat for those wanting steak and the list of sides was fantastic too (sharing sized portions)."

"STK has always been a cool experience. From the first time I went to STK in the meatpacking district of NYC to the one near my house in Atlanta, its always cool and good. The fact that this one is at the Cosmopolitan, just kicks the energy level up a notch or two. From the blue cheese bread, to the options for apps, to dinner, to solid bar options, the most discerning foodie outgoer will be happy. This is not the place for the blue-hairs or kids, unless they happen to be a little edgy in their own right. Next time, I look forward to trying Scarpetta that's right near by too, but would happily go back to this STK. Cheers.."

"Low ceilings and nightclub style seating. 3 of us were crammed into a small seating area where my arm could have easily rested on the next table. Our table was a small round club style table that the food barely fit on. Side dishes were tasteless, and the only thing getting this review to 2 stars is the steak. Very good, perfectly cooked, but needlessly heavy with pepper. This is more of a scene than a steakhouse."

"I think the food was good, but definitely overpriced for what you got. I've eaten at nice restaurants in Las Vegas and steakhouses all around the country, and I felt this was similar to most. The sides were not worth the $12-$30 a piece since the portions were very small. It was disappointing. The beef tartare was the best thing on the menu, but again the portion size was small and hard for sharing. The tuna sashimi was also very good. I would say the best thing on the menu was the jalapeno onions that went on top of my porterhouse steak."

"All amazing at STK. Our server, Wyatt, was great. Very knowledgeable about pretty much everything on the menu, vibrant, quick and funny. Our food was amazing...everything we ordered including the cocktails and martinis. Even our food runner Jenna was fun. Good times!!"

"the steaks were very good. however, the noise level was such that conversation was impossible. in addition, the waiter misled us as to the size of the aide dishes, so we overordered and left a lot behind. nothing about this restaurant was really worth the cost, as great steaks are available in several other venues. i was there to meet business associates and the inability to converse was a real hardship. i wouldn't go back."

"Our second time there, and the food, drinks and service are all still outstanding. Best steaks on the strip, and reasonable prices. My only complaint, which is common at almost every restaurant in Vegas, is that the hostesses have no idea what they are doing, and they always try to put you in the worst table first. We had made a reservation at STK weeks ago, were dressed nice, and the restaurant was mostly empty at 6:30, and the girl still wanted to seat us at a small table, right next to two other couples. We refused, and then she gave us a better table. I would have walked out if we weren't accomodated, so management should consider cluing their hostesses in! Other than that, great waitservice, good cocktails and steaks!"
