"The food was good and recommend the steak with any accompaniments. However, the private booths could have been not so close to the door and wish they would have been more poignant on the reservation time. Overall, it was a romantic dinner and might go back for special occasions."

"Peterson's is generally our go to restaurant for special events. We love the steak normally but were disappointed during this visit. The steak was extremely salty. We prefer well seasoned meat but I drank 5 glasses of water to eat around 5 ounces of meat. Normally I would have sent the steak back but we were celebrating our 10th anniversary and I didn't want to eat after my husband. Needless to say the steak didn't warrant the $49 price. The appetizers were great and in the past the steak was very good."

"I have always thought Peterson's was by far the best restaurant in the Indianapolis area. I was very excited when they announced they would be doing Sunday brunch. We had a fabulous experience. Our waiter was Kyle who was new and was excellent. The food was beyond good. There is a huge selection from fresh fruit and cheese, a huge seafood tower with wonderful shrimp,oysters and mussels. All very good. Then there are scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, potatoes au gratin, french toast, etc. The prime rib was just wonderful. The dessert table was loaded with all kinds of wonderful things. You can special order an omelet or a waffle but you don't have to with the buffet so great. I can't say enough about this."

"My wife and I celebrated our eight-year wedding anniversary at Petersons. We have eaten at many restaurants and in each location we have lived there has been one location that stands out above rest and Petersons is it. We will eat here atleast three times a month from now on. The food is exquisite, the atmosphere is serene and inviting, the service is impeccable. I give them 10 stats on a scale of 5...,"

"The food was excellent and the service was really good. There are partitions that separate the tables which creates a more intimate setting. The menu is classic steak and seafood done really well. My husband is fairly picky and likes simple classic dishes; while I like to try different things. We were both able to find plenty of items on the menu to suit our tastes."

"I have eaten at Peterson's many times and have always had a great experience. This time however it was two and a half hours from the time we sat down until our entrees were on the table. It was like we were lost in the restaurant for over an hour and the staff completely forgot about us. Hugely disappointing. The food was great when we got it but the mood of an enjoyable dinner was nearly ruined."

"My girlfriend and I were looking for a romantic dinner. We found it. The service was fantastic. The food was even better. The wine list was extensive and fairly priced. On top of all of that, the fact that most of the seating is in booths that are very comfortable and very private, really make for a unique and romantic dining experience. You feel like you are in your very own restaurant. Our waiter's suggestions with respect to food choices and preparations was outstanding. One of the best Steak Houses I have ever had the pleasure to enjoy."

"Everything that we tried was very good. Kevin did a very good job of serving us as did other staff who kept our glasses full and table cleared. We enjoyed the soft music and calm atmosphere which was somewhat lost as they got busier, but still the noise was only moderate. We will keep Peterson's on our list of options for dining when in Indy."

"They sat us in a room that had 8 tables away from everyone else and we waited about 10 minutes before anyone came in there to ask if we wanted anything to eat. After we got water the waiter came back after about 15 minutes to see if we were ready to order. He did explain the menu to us. After ordering our food it took about 30 to 40 minutes for it to come. When it came my boyfriend steak was over cooked. He wanted it medium and it was cooked medium well."

The filet was so tender I didn't needs steak knife and the mashed potatoes were to die for. Recommend the Brussels sprouts and king crab Mac n cheese! "Two of my friends and I went here for Northside Nights. I thought the service was just okay, she seemed to go away for long periods of time and not really attentive. She also would come up awkwardly and wait for us to stop talking, instead of just saying something.
I thought the food was okay. I didn't really like the mashed potatoes--too spicy for some odd reason. The steak was fine---I think I have had better. I just wasn't that impressed after I had heard so many good things about this place."

"We started our meal with the bacon-wrapped crab stuffed shrimp, it was delicious. My manhattan was also quite good. Everything was downhill after that. Nothing about the food stuck out other than the fact that it wasn't very good. The creme brulee looked more like a greasy Mexican flan than a french custard. Many places around town to spend the same amount of money with much better food."

"I'm sorry to say that I did not care for Peterson's at all. My southside friends and I were excited to try this well-known restaurant during the Northside Nights weeks. Two of us had to return our meals - the pork tenderloin- because it was grossly undercooked. By the time I got mine back, everyone else at the table had finished. We had to ask numerous times for refills on our water, and for our dessert to be served. We felt that no one really cared if we were waited on or not. I'm only happy that we didn't receive this treatment when ordering from the normal menu."

"Peterson's Restaurant is a cut above. It has an intimate setting and a separate room for groups to meet that is private and offers complete attentiveness. The bar area is a great place to sit, relax and feel at home. The food is wonderful. The Filet Mignon was heavenly and dessert chocolate tart dessert was decadent. I would highly recommend Peterson's to friends, family and colleagues. Peterson's is a place to go when you're looking for a sense of intimacy, a menu of fine dining, an extensive and an exquisite wine list."

"We really enjoyed the food. They seemed to balance the different taste buds making it fun to try the different foods. Water cress peppery taste with the roasted tomato, salty pretzel bread with cheddar butter, and all the different flavors with the wedge salad. The ending of cookie dough wrapped in chocolate was a superb ending. The pace of the food was not rushed making for a very enjoyable evening and the manager checking on the tables means alot."

"Was rather disappointed, we were asked to wait for a few min until our table was ready. We were Given the option of the Chairs by the front door or sitting in the bar until our table was ready. we opted for a cocktail, 5 min later we were escorted to our table, right next to where we were sitting still in the bar.
For 160.00 diner, I had hoped to get out of the bar.
Food tasted good as always, bartender did a good job of waiting our table, but the treatment was unacceptable."

"The hostesses were horrible. We had a reservation at 7:45pm and they seemed to be more interested in something on the computer than seating our party of 4. We finally were seated at 8:05pm and then it took another 15-20 minutes to get a drink. After our first course was brought to the table the service seemed to improve. The last time we dined at Peterson's was 10 years ago; it will probably be another 10 years before we would ever go back and we only live a mile down the street from the restaurant."

"This was our first time to dine at the restaurant. The service was very slow and we were hungry. One in our party had prime rib and he said it was not warm enough. We were also seated in the middle of the restaurant and it was hard to talk."

"I've known about this restaurant forever but never made it before now. Wow! Great atmosphere, I love how it's small and that there are booths lining the wall which makes it great for an more intimate setting. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, the wine list etc. I will definitely be returning to this place! I even tried a few things I didn't think I'd like and they were amazing! I know there are a lot of steakhouses in Indy but I love that this one is a locally owned restaurant and not a chain."
