Zino Ristorante is a lively Italian restaurant from the creators of Sweet Basil. Located in the heart of the Vail Valley, Zino is perfectly situated on the Eagle River in Edwards Colorado. Chef Nick Haley serves contemporary Italian cuisine from an open kitchen, best known for wood fired pizzas, house made pastas and our famous mussels. The large bar and lounge area offers casual dining overlooking the restaurant, and is always buzzing with locals and visitors alike. The wine list features the best of Italian and American wine, created with passion by Owner Giuseppe Bosco. In the warmer months, dinner is also served on our riverside patio, where you can join or watch a game of bocce on the regulation-size court. Come visit us for a taste of Italy in the Rocky Mountains...Buon Appetito!
"As always, Zino was delicious. Mussel madness ($6 skillet) is every Tuesday. Lately the mussels they have been getting have been big. Regardless of the size, they are always delicious and served hot on a skillet. I had my usual skillet of mussels to start and melanzane (delicious eggplant parmigiana) for my main. My friend had the Mediterranean pizza. The crust was as it should be in Naples - bubbly and crispy. This is a delicious meat-free pizza. The patio will open soon. Can't wait because summer evenings near the river at Zino are so much fun."

"This was our first time to Zino and it was incredible. The food was excellent as was everything else about the experience. The food was top notch. We will definitely visit Zino's any chance we get when passing through the Edwards/Vail area."

"Felt very rushed by waitress as I was not allowed to first order my salad and then entree. She insisted I have to order them together! Then I ordered an entree (nocchi) that was very bland.
The salad was delicious!"

"Group of 7. Prompt service. Entrees good-excellent. Some unique items, making the dining experience different that "run of the mill". Enjoyed veal meatballs parpadelle, sea bass entree, homemade mozarella was excellent."

"This is one of many times we have returned to Zino's. We are always warmly welcomed and we are seated promptly even if all of our party is not there. Our guests arrived shortly and the waiter let us all talk before ordering or explaining the specials. He was a terrific waiter, sensitive to our flow of dinner, and a nice sense of humor. No hurry and no intrusion, but was there when we wanted something. The dinner was delicious and all of us remarked how much we enjoyed our meals. The buzz of the dining room and the nice view out the windows made this a terrific experience. This is an excellent experience worth telling your friends about."

"We had an 8PM reservation but were not seated until 8.45. The service was so slow that we did not finish our meal until 10 PM and that was without ordering dessert or coffee. We were told that it was all due to tuesdays being mussel nights and that other days were much less crowded."

"Always predictably good....it's been through a "reincarnation"; having come back from an earlier and very popular life as the original Zino's. A great heritage having ties to Sweet Basil but a more casual and appropriately priced menu and atmosphere; definitely worth it."

"It's great to have Zino open again. Zino was one of my all time favorites, and I was sad to see them close several years ago Now that Zino is back, I'm very excited. The food was great, and the space is beautiful. Don't miss the special mussels."

"We really enjoy the excellent food at a more moderate price range than you find in near-by Vail. Great wine list and menu selections. Also like the gluten-free options and vegetarian options."

"The ambiance of the restaurant seems great, however we where seated under the stairs which really ruined our experience. When asked if we could move we were seated next to the stairs which was better, but still obstructed our view of the restaurant. 3 of 4 dishes our party ordered were great. Averages wait staff, somewhat forgetful of our requests."

"Our group of 5 enjoyed our cold, rainy Friday evening at Zino Ristorante II. We only ordered drinks and appetizers as we were all a bit tired from the coast to coast travel that day. We did, however, feel the drink service lagged a bit. We had to wait for service, then ask for water and then ask again for our drink order to be taken. This occurred again for the second round. The resataurant was not busy - probably due to the unusually cold weather. The owner and wait staff were very nice to us and had excellent knowledge regarding their menu. We all enjoyed the appetizers very much. In fact, we were convinced to try some desserts which were excellent. All in all, it was a very pleasant experience."

"My sister's family, my wife and I enjoyed our dinner very much. My veal scaloppine was not traditional . I knew it would not be. I prefer the more traditional . Everyone else loved theirs.

"My 21 year old daughter and I were skiing in Vail for a little daddy/ daughter bonding. Besides our love for skiing, we share a passion for food. We did not want to eat at the typically over priced, over rated Vail Village restaurants so we decided to venture out. After checking a few different review sites, we decided on Zino. Great choice. Food, service and ambiance we all superb. Nice atmosphere, very knowledgable server and inventive and delicious food. Can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Cheeses, pastas and deserts are all made on premises.. The pork millanese is a winner as was everything else we tried. Pricey by some standards, but a bargain versus Vail, New York or any other major citiy."

"Our meal was really good. The service was friendly and informative. The waiter suggested a really good bottle of wine in our price range and everything we ordered was delicious. We will certainly go back. I'd love to be there in the summer for dinner on the patio overlooking the Eagle River..."
