"The service and Food are Just AMAZING! I had the Lamb shank and Isreali Cous Cous and it DELISH!!! I followed it with the Blueberry pie with scoop of vanilla ice cream!!!! If you go toe Cavatappo Grill for anything YOU MUST TRY THIS DESSERT!!!!! It is also a Kid friendly restaurant so that is always a plus if you have little ones. Not so much in the food department because there is no kids menu however they have accommodating seating.
They also have an extensive wine selection! the Moscato is YUMM YuMM!
Cant wait to return!!!!!"

"My review of the food is biased -- I had such an unpleasant experience upon arriving. the manager greeted me with (paraphrase, but close): we were just about to call you; in 2 minutes you would have lost the table; we only hold the table for 15 minutes". I have no problem with the policy. I was running a bit late and called the restaurant to let them know. A very pleasant man told me that it was no problem. then, I arrived before the 15 minutes. the restaurant had empty tables from time to time. Our waitress was very friendly. I observed the manager throughout our dinner. she never had a friendly face on -- to the contrary. she should be fired. her attitude colored my entire experience."

"Cavatappo Grill had wonderful food and very attentive service. The menu is varied and they have daily specials, sometimes even featured wines. An upper east side find."

"Upper Yorkville Neighborhood find. I've been several times with family, older kids, friends and with my wife. Each time has been enjoyable, affordable and the food was great."

"We enjoyed an early dinner here before a concert at a nearby venue. The staff was attentive, friendly and helpful, especially important as one of us must eat gluten-free and this is an Italian restaurant. The tables are close together but there was a nice energy about the place with the eye-catching, bright red walls and framed corkscrews and wine paraphernalia as primary decors. The mushroom risotto was one of the best I've ever had, and the seared tuna in ginger sauce was delicious. An impressive selection of cheeses caught our eye and we finished the meal with the creamy, lightly carmelized creme brulee. Will definitely return although we do not live in NYC and will have to plan ahead to include dinner here in our next visit!"

"We had a great time at Cavatappo Grill. There were 5 of us in our group, and we all left very happy. The rib-eye special was delicious, and perfectly cooked. Others in the party ordered gnocchi, rigatoni, veal, and shrimp dishes-everyone really enjoyed their meals. We also got the antipasto platter (since at least two people in our party ordered from the prefixe menu). The platter was so generous, and served as an appetizer for all 5 of us. Since it was a Wednesday night, the restaurant was pretty quiet, and we had a table in the back corner, which was perfect since requested a quiet table. The wine list was great, and we ordered a multipulciano which everyone really enjoyed. The prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was awesom"
