Paul Wahlberg presents Alma Nove, a stylish and contemporary restaurant and bar offering classic Italian cuisine amid the bountiful flavors of the surrounding Mediterranean. "The rain didn't prevent us from enjoying the ambience of the outdoor fireplace thru the window. Our server didn't rush us, though pne of our party was late. Everyone enjoyed the meals and were thrilled there was a delicious rose offered. The steak special had delicious accompaniments, but the meat itself was tougher than expected. There were no other complaints, Everything else got an A. Delicious cake ordered ahead topped off the eveing. A real treat"

"We ate outside and the views are amazing along with a nice open gas firepit which makes it extremely romantic. The service was kind but slow and unattentive, I am giving them a pass due to us being on the outside couches but if it happened again it would be an issue. The food however is very good and at about $140 for 2 with a bottle of wine, app, 2 mains, and a dessert it is reasonable too."

"Table for four and we all raved about each course. The starters can be shared in tasting portions Salmon was perfect, the steaks excellent and the halibut divine. Everything presented perfectly..this kitchen crew "gets it".The salads fresh and delicious. The grilled asparagus (over wood), is a great choice. Great wine choices. Kathryn is an excellent server who enjoys her work, her customers and was totally helpful and accommodating with special dietary needs. The rainy night didn't permit patio dining but the al fresco dining would be great overlooking the harbor. We'll be back!"

"My girlfriend and I had such an amazing time!!! From the second we walked in the hostess was right there to greet us and seat us. We were fortunate enough to sit outside,which was unbelievable!!! Our waitress was amazing. The food was absolutely phenomenal!!! Our meals were well proportioned and cooked just perfectly. I can not say enough good things about Paul's Restaurant. "My wife and I brought old friends to Alma Nova. It was our first time there and the experience was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodated us when our guest brought along their infant daughter. The Cod cakes are really tasty and my wife said her steak was the best she's had in a restaurant in years. We will definitely come back again and bring more friends."

The attention to detail from our first drink by the fire pit to our dessert, which was kindly on the house for our anniversary made the whole night special. Mary Beth our waitress could not do enough for us. It's nice to have a place on the South Shore by the water and of this quality to save going into the city for those special occasions. "What an unexpected surprise! I made an early evening reservation to celebrate my husband's birthday. The greeting staff was friendly and very accommodating when we requested a table outside. The afternoon was beautiful; it was a treat to enjoy the breeze and the views, along with the great food and service. The food was delicious, and our waitress was courteous and attentive, but not "on your face," allowing us to enjoy our food and conversation without rushing us to eat fast and leave the place, which seems to be the style of many restaurants in the Boston area. This restaurant is great for special occasions and a romantic spot at sunset and night; we will definitely return."

"The presentation of the food needs improvement. The wood grilled Salmon sits in a pool of butter, on top of sliced zucchini, summer squash, and two asparagus. The meals don't look appetizing, but they do taste good. The entree salads are small, and have way too much dressing. Overall, it's a good restaurant, but they need to put more effort into the presentation of the food."

"We dined with another couple from the North shore who had never been to alma Nove. This was our fourth time dining there. Service was exceptional and food was very good. We were not rushed. The only negative is the trables are very small, so when several appetizers are being shared, there is very little room and the manuevering can be tricky."

"My husband and I split the roasted red and gold beet salad with goat cheese, endive, and blood orange vinaigrette. It was delicious; even split in two our servings were generous. For the entree he had the wood-grilled swordfish, lobster mashed potatoes, tomato confit and I the Long Island duck breast, gorgonzolla risotto, port fig reduction. Heavenly! For dessert we split the Chocolate Pot de Creme. So rich and creamy. Our server was "Cat" who was helpful with wine selections and took good care of us.

"Ooverall, the experience was fun with excellent service, and for the most part, good food. A shrimp appetizer lacked flavor, I thought, but my dining partner disagreed. I ordered a rib eye steak, a special that evening, and I rarely order steak out,except for an occasional filet. It was fairly tough and also flavorless, despite the chef's (best?) efforts. My dog enjoyed the leftovers, but then, he rarely samples $36 entrees. My wife's scallops and risotto were excellent. Oh, that I should have not been in the mood for beef!"

"We had heard good things about Alma Nove, but had never been there. My birthday was on Memorial Day, so we decided to try it for lunch. Not sure if dinner would have been a different experience, but lunch was significantly below our expectations. We (4) were there at an off hour (3:30pm) & restaurant was not crowded. The waterview from the deck and fire pits are nice. Our main issue was the food. I am of Italian descent & know what good gnocchi tastes like (not what I had at Alma Nove!) My daughter's pasta dish with sausage & pinenuts was pretty tasteless. The two people who ordered cheeseburgers were happy with their meals, but at $130 for lunch for 4 people (2 drinks) , more than the cheeseburgers should be good. No plans to go back."

"We went to Alma Nove to celebrate our anniversary with friends who were also celebrating their aniversary. The decor was warm and welcoming and the pace was calming, steady, and comforting. Despite the grey overcast day, we felt warm and cozy, staring at the outside fire and the sea beyond. The waitstaff were friendly and respectful, attentive, but not hovering, and answered our questions completely. Two of us ordered the soup and sandwhich special and it was just perfect fare for a cold rainy day. The others ordered fish dishes, each of which was cooked to perfection.

"It's no wonder that everyone raves about Alma Nove. Each dish was beautifully prepared and delicious. The service was attentive but not rushed. It's expensive, which makes it a "special occasion" restaurant. However, we definitely felt we got what we paid for. If you're considering a visit, don't hesitate. We might try lunch on the outdoor patio, overlooking the marina, next time."

"We went to Alma Nove to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the entire staff made it a most memorable evening. The lady who served us made several suggestions on the menu that were outstanding. A complimentary dessert to cap off a great meal was most appreciated. We look forward to returning."

"We chose this place for Mother's Day brunch but failed to realize they don't serve brunch which was dissapointing. They don't really have lunch fair either, and the waitress kept saying "tonight we have" even though it was 11am. Just felt obnoxious. The dinner fare was delicious and the location is great. I'll just keep it in mind for dinner only in the future."

"Really good food, the apps, pasta and dessert were great. The main dishes were ok. The setting is really nice and makes the experience feel special.The waitresses were all great. Some of the hostesses were great but we also had a negative experience with one of the managers. I would recommend it for drinks and snacks outside or for a special occasion if you're going for a meal."

"Had a great dinner with some long time friends! Servers were super friendly and made good recommendations. Food and wine was incredible! I only wished it was warmer to have been able to dine on the patio. The views of the Marina were gorgeous. Chef/owner came out to chat with patrons. An all around lovely experience!"
