"Arrosto is located on a residential street on the outskirts of the center of Port Chester, but convenient to get to. The wait staff was professional and efficient. The ocotopus appetizer was grilled to perfection and accompanied by spring themed greens and beans. For the main course we focused on the seafoood specials and were rewarded for our choice. The two soft shell crabs were grilled and medium size, very flavorful, over a creamy risotto with peas. The tile fish was served in a delicious vegetable and broth sauce with no starch, and proved to be a complete main course. The wines offered covered a wide range to taste and cost. The cheese course included Hudson valley cheese."

"We've been to Arrosto many times and always enjoyed it. My husband and I recently went on Mother's Day. I had a reservation, but we were told we had a 15 minute wait because the kitchen was too busy. We asked to be seated to have a glass of wine and some bread, but they wouldn't seat us. After almost a half hour we finally asked about our table, and were brought to a back room filled with noisy children. The floor next to the table was strewn with coloring books. It was like a day care center! I told the hostess I'd prefer to sit at the bar, so we ended up sitting at one of the high tables next to the bar. Our waiter was completely stressed out and rushed. I would recommend Arrosto on a quiet day - they cannot handle large crowds!"

"This is our second time to this restaurant. Four of us went for my teenage daughters birthday. Very nice, interesting menu with unusual choices. Everything we tried was delicious. The service very attentive and welcoming. The waiters genuinely seemed to be happy and committed to delivering a great experience. Service was quick but timed just right. Appetizers came quickly and the time between for the main meal to arrive was perfect"

"I have dined at Arrosto before. This time, I was with three friends, celebrating a special occasion. One of my friends was with me on a previous occasion, but two of them were there for the first time. They were both quite impressed with everything. Our server, Erica, helped make the celebration very enjoyable. She catered to our specific requests and was very knowledgable and extremely pleasant."

"Very nice meal. A bit noisy even though we were seated in a less occupied corner. Love the atmosphere and the decor. Service somewhat slow in the beginning but was more attentive later in the meal.
It would be beneficial to have more moderate priced entrees-a bit pricey for most dinner entrees. But the fish special-bass was terrific and worth the price.

Furthermore the waiter was rude, mean, forgetful and passive aggresive. Basically a toxic combination for a nice family meal.

"We had dinner here to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We celebrated our anniversary here last year and knew this was the only pace for us. Food was wonderful and wait staff were very attentive. "We were celebrating Easter and my mother's birthday. She had wanted to go to Arrosto since she first told my husband and I about it (together, we've dined there about 6 times previously). There were 8 of us and no one, especially my Mom, was disapointed with the food! We also were in at a very good time; we went at 1 on Easter day and were the first diners. It was very quiet and the staff were very attentive.
I'd called ahead because we'd wanted to serve my Mom a special cake and the staff were very accomadating.
We look forward to returning again!"

"Our dining experience at Arrosto was a great one. I felt comfortable there as soon as I walked in. The manager opened the door for us. Our waiter was informative and spoke loud enough for all of us to hear despite the background noise. We brought my 2 aunts who are Italian and fabulous cooks and they gave the food their stamp of approval. The prices are a little steep but the portions are huge and yummy! Even my Cosmo was delicious. We'll definitely be back."

"Food was decent. Ambiance was nice. But the waiter was less than to be desired. He was VERY pushy and felt the need to tell us (after he approached us for the third time and we were clearly NOT ready) that the kitchen was closing at 9PM if we want our order in. Then when we were ready, he spent more time catering to the larger/higher bill table. He also had no problem seating a familiar group after 9PM. If there is such a concern with diners staying too late, make your reservation cut off earlier. And a good waiter waits for menus to close before approaching the table so many times in an effort to hurry us along. There's a difference between being attentive and being rude."

"It's been 3 days since we ate at Arrosto and we are still talking about it. The food, the ambiance and service. THE FOOD!!!!! Don't expect to leave hungry or without take home extras to continue the experience. For us it's a must family experience. So much fun but most of all the taste of the dishes. The Veal Parmesan was outstanding! You will not be disappointed Just go and enjoy. Mangia!"

"Always impressive! I've been to this place over a dozen times the past three years and I've never been disappointed. I travel and eat out a lot and this is one of if not the best Italian restaurants I've ever eaten at. That says a lot coming from an Italian from Brooklyn:). It's pricey but worth it!"

"This was our third or fourth visit to the restaurant and we are never disappointed. I had the Italian Salad appetizer and the grilled lamb chops, both of which were excellent.
My husband had the Tortellini as an appetizer and they were stuffed with veal and were delicious. He had the Pescatore Arrosto, which was also very good.
The service as always was impeccable and we will definitely be back."

The manager quickly reseated us with no problem despite the restaurant being pretty packed. The food was excellent and the drinks are always very good. I would go to Arrosto again in a heartbeat."
