"This restaurant is without a doubt, the best in th city! It may be small, but it packs a HUGE punch with great service, ambiance and the absolute best food I have ever had! The Chef is so incredibly talented and how he makes So many different and amazing dishes without breaking a sweat or compromising each dish as a work of art is beyond me! My husband and I just love this place! It is always full so be sure to make a reservation if you want to get in! Can't say enough about it! The mushroom tart is to die for!"

"I went to Tzin with 2 friends upon hearing positive reviews about the food. It did not disappoint! We ordered potato bravas, chorizo and gnocchi stew, and seafood platter. Portions are quite small given that they are tapas but the seafood platter definitely filled us up. Flavors are very unique. There is a nice selection of wine for those who know a little about wine. Atmosphere was intimate, with only 7 tables, 2 of which can accommodate 5 people and the rest are meant for pairs. It was a little cramped and tables are very small so this is my only complaint. Service was fast and great as the waitresses knew the menu inside out. Would definitely recommend as a place to grab a snack!"

"We had an 8:30pm reservation. Upon arrival at 8:25, our table was being cleared up so we sat at the 4 seat bar. We were having so much fun trying many different wines, we decided to just stay at the bar. Service was incredibly amazing and the food was decadent.

"We love Tapas but the Tapas scene is Edmonton was nonexistent until Tzin opened up. While not a traditional Tapas restaurant like you would experience in Spain, Tzin offers it own unique Tapas adventure. We have been going to Tzins' for years and after our last visit, it has become our favorite restaurant in Edmonton. It has actually improved over the years. It has a small focused menu with well prepared food and excellent wine list. The Shiraz we had on our last visit was to die for. We had the Seafood Paella for two which was the best we have had outside of Spain. Service is excellent without being over attentive. It is a small restaurant and seating can be tight but the overall ambiance is warm and friendly."

"My previous visit to TZiN was a very good experience, so with concert tickets for The XX at the Shaw, we wanted something close, fun, but with serious food and wine... TZiN was the choice and it was the right choice. The tapas style plates and sharing the outstanding seafood paella amongst the table was totally just right for pre-concert eats. The scallops were outstanding, and the cheese platter to finish was an inspired mix of tasty cheeses & compotes. It was indeed serious food served in a relaxed format for a great start to the night. The wine list, while not extensive, has some interesting choices available - the Spanish Cava was a stellar choice to start the feastivity paired with the olives and scallops. It was all very good! "My sea scallop is over cooked. The mushroom pie needs a bit of sea salt to bring out the favour. The spanish seafood rice is ok. And the dessert is far from memorable. This is a place for drinking. Too cramp a place to enjoy a nice romantic dinner."

"We loved the relaxed atmosphere of Tzin. We were warmly greeted and seated right away...although next time I would request to be further into the restaurant as we were right at the door and the night air was quite cool with the main door being left open for the diners on the terrace...otherwise we would not hesitate to recommend or go back ourselves. "Our experience there was not as enjoyable as I had anticipated. Due to the numerous positive reviews I had read, I was expecting fabulous and I only got mediocre. The concept of the food was awesome using local products, organic, gluten free and farm raised. The hostess is great at marketing, by the time she explains the menu and the delectable dish that you ordered you can hardly wait. The food arrives you look at it and say the presentation is okay. Then you taste it and you think well it is okay but my eagerly waiting tastebuds are not WOWED like you thought. Then the bill arrives and your satisfaction goes down even further. I have an issue paying full price dining rates when I am getting a small portion at best."

"The restaurant is very tiny so a reservation was necessary! It was full the entire time we were there. A few groups showed up without a reservation but could not get a table. The tables are very close together but the atmosphere and music was loud enough that we did not feel part of other conversations. I enjoyed the option of a half glass of wine. The food, wine and service were great! We will definitely return!"

"I read the reviews of Tzin before booking. The great reviews are spot on. Food and service were outstanding. Great things come in small packages. I will now go as often as I am in Edmonton and looking for a very pleasant dinner experience. My wife and I were in Edmonton to see Shawn Colvin and Mary Chapin Carpenter; at least two other couples at Tzin were spotted at the same concert later. Guess Tzin is known as a place to go when looking for a great evening. For good reason!"

"Tzin is one of those gems! With seating at a small bar and a few tables reservations are a must. The extensive wine list and range of tapas are worthy of a call ahead. The "liquid gold" brie will be our "go to" item while we try to choose from the other tapas and next time try a dinner items. Service was excellent. Can't wait to return."

"My wife and I decided to try Tzin based on a listing we found online. The small cozy room and the menu were of particular interest as we were booking for our 32nd wedding anniversary. We were very happy with the place. It was smaller than I thought it would be, but really cozy and intimate. The service was personal and friendly, the food was delicious. They welcomed us with a free glass of champagne in honor of the occasion and made us feel at home. The dessert menu was not large, just 3 items, but the two we had,a citrus and berry tart and a chocolate laced cake were beautiful. So often after a very good meal the dessert menu fails to inspire, but wow! Did not try the cheese board, which our neighbors at the next table had. Looked great!"

"It was our first visit at Tzin and we were not disappointed with the dining experience. Tzin sets a completely new standard for dining in Edmonton - no rushing or being treated as just another customer/number. This place reminds me of Europe and its style of dining which equals spending time on socializing while indulging in creatively prepared, delicious food accompanied by a good bottle of wine. The atmosphere is casual and unpretentious which helps you unwind and forget that you're actually in Edmonton. Our city definitely benefits from having a place like this, which adds some international vibe to the city's night life/dining scene."

"I have only been to Tzin twice before and each time was very delightful, including this past visit. The waitresses are the best in the city, they are excited about their food and wine and this in turn evokes an excitment in their customers. I have nothing but great things to say about this restaturant. Make reservations though!! It is a small space and busy!"

"This is truly a little gem found in the heart of the City! The service and romancing of the food was unparallel. The waitress with the funky glasses had me sold on every item she was describing. Every attention to detail as well as the listening to the customer was done impeccably.
For example I was interested in a desert but after having it described to me the waitress was informed how I love lemon. When the desert came out it had a ZEST of lemon flavour that put it over the top! They believe in having a great experience with the wine, I was introduced to the most fabulous wines! I will definitley be coming back!"

"What a great spot! Intimate but very energetic. The service at this restaraunt was amazing. Everyone was so kind and so much fun - they truly went out of their way to make my partner's birthday special. I called in advance to see if I could come early to decorate the table, and they were more than happy to accomodate. Not to mention the food was amazing. The scallops were to die for. A downtown Edmonton gem."

"We truly enjoyed our experience at Tzin, the service was fantastic they were very attentive and made some great recommendations. The food is really great, I like the small plates for sharing it is such a great concept and I prefer smaller plates of great food than large quantities of mediocre food.
The wine selection is also fantastic!
Overall a lovely date night out.

"Food locally sourced, lovingly prepared and delivered to the table by interested server. To me, that's a winning combination.
Had one of the best dinners out in a very, very, long time. It was so good, I leaned in and thanked the chef as we left, commending him on what he already knows, he's definitely doing all the right things in his kitchen!
