Welcome to Reynolds Tavern; one of the finest examples of Georgian architecture in Annapolis. Situated in a prominent position on Church Circle it is convenient for the historic district, shops, restaurants and the United States Naval Academy.
The building has been restored beautifully to reflect the working nature of the tavern and the elegance of the 18th Century. Reynolds Tavern is the oldest tavern in Annapolis and one of the oldest in the U.S.
Whatever your tastes, Reynolds Tavern has something to offer you. Reynolds Tavern serves a full lunch menu, English Afternoon tea and romantic dining in the evenings.
"Nice ambience, interesting menu.Waiter slow, took 15 mins to get a drink refill to my husband on a very quiet night. Never asked me if I wanted a refill. Food arrived at table cold, clearly sat in pass thru for ages prior to delivery. Don't bother."

"I expected more of this restaurant, as it was highly rated. We went there for afternoon tea. They have the greatest number of choices of afternoon tea menus in the area. The food was plentiful, teas well prepared, scones good, savories boring and bland except for the shepherd's pie tart and the sweets were uninspired. A disappointment -- we won't be back for tea."

"This is a beautiful 18th century tavern, perfectly preserved with sensational food and warm, welcoming service. We also went back for afternoon tea. If you're in Annapolis, this is a must-experience."

"This was not a very good experience. We were sent to the bar to wait for our table. The bar was in the basement and no one ever came to tell us our table was ready. The bartender said that happens all the time. Not very professional. Then our server forgot to put in one of our orders so everyone else had to eat while one person sat without food for a long time. It was a special occasion birthday too. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant. The food was just ok."

"We were celebrating one of my friend's birthday and decided to have afternoon tea at Reynolds Tavern. It's a lovely restaurant and our tea was outstanding. There is a new menu and chef so if you are wanting to have a very pleasant lunch, tea, or dinner, I would highly recommend it. Their tea is presented beautifully and all the food was excellent. They have two pages of different teas and they are presented in full teapots with a beautiful tray of scones, sandwiches, and desserts. It was lovely and we will definitely be back again. Other than the tea service, there is a new, large "Southern" inspired menu, appetizers, seafood, steaks, and even Southern Fried Buttermilk Chicken. All looked delicious and we will definitely be back."

"Dined here for Annapolis restaurant week and was reminded of what a lovely spot it is for its colonial atmosphere, as well as the food. I ordered from the 3-course restaurant week menu and was very pleaded with my selections. The seafood linguini dish was very good; the citrus panna cotta for dessert was a light and refreshing end to the meal."

"Our last visit was on Valentine's Day. Despite the day, the tavern was not overcrowded nor was there a feeling of rush. We both selected from the Valentine special menu. Each item was 4* or above. Be sure to try the Oysters Vol au Vent appetizer. The oysters were choice and perfectly prepared."

"Enjoyed a drink in the cozy downstairs pub before dinner. We had salads and fish entrees. We were both very impressed. We were commenting on the food all through the meal and how great it was. Our waiter was very attentive and really added to the experience - it makes all the difference."

"I knew that Reynolds Tavern is historic and a well-known place for Lunch, Afternoon Tea,and Dinner. Enjoying their Valentine's Day prix fixe dinner was a real treat for me and My Love. Grewat food and marvelous service. Remember the historic aspect and don't expect huge windows and water views. However, the view of ST. Anne's Church and the Maryland State House from our table was wonderful."

"Abolutely a pleasure to dine here. Historic building completely restored to its colonial splendor. The menu has outstanding choices including seafood, classic, and current american dishes. Service has always been fast and attentive. You can't find a better place for dinner, lunch, or high tea in downtown Annapolis."
