"but the room is a little bit loud. We were seated directly by the front door, so incoming and outgoing diners were a constant interruption to our conversation. Servers were prompt and very pleasant, but forks were left off my setting twice for different courses. The food was marvelous; every dish was excellent and exceeded my expectations. I was told that it was 'pricey' but didn't find it so at all. Many lesser restaurants charge more for food that is nowhere near as good. Next time I'll know to ask to be seated in the back. Must repeat that the food was marvelous, though! We did stay until (probably after) closing, and the staff was very gracious about it- my thanks for that. I'll be back!"

"This is our favorite restaurant. I only wish they would open for lunches again this summer. We are on a fixed income and really enjoyed the opportunity to dine there more often as a late lunch was less expensive than the meals at the dinner hour. At the current prices, we can only eat there once or twice a month, instead of every week."

"This is our second visit to the restaurant. We don't live in the area, but use it as a half-way point. Very nice place,very good food. Creative chef. Not just the same old ho-hum things on the menu. You really have something special in Zinc's and your amazing staff just makes an evening divine..Not to forget the INCREDIBLE chef!!! The food was spectacular as always! "I made a reservation for Valentines Day....what a disappointment. We were expecting fine dining, complete with linen tablecloths and a properly set table. Zinc is far from it. The service was quick but inefficient. The food was average at best. The calamare was right out of the freezer section at GFS. For the main course I ordered their "Steak and Cake" at $32, a filet and crab cake served over risotto with asparagus. The presentation was nice and the filet was cooked to the perfect temperature (med rare), but it had to be the worst cut of meat I have ever been served....flavaorless and tough as leather . However, the risotto was good and the asparagus was a nice al dente. Zinc isn't awful, just overrated. We will not be reurning to Zinc"

"What a cute and cozy place this is! The seating is open and not situated for privacy but that is fine. Our waiter was quick and helpful. I ordered a Manhattan and Foie Gras to start our meal. The cocktail was very weak, but when I mentioned it to my server, she quickly fixed it without charge. The Foie Gras was exceptional! They had a Cassoulet on the menu and being that is my favorite meal bar none, I ordered it.
Hmmm. It was presented on a plate (not a yummy soup bowl) with a few beans scattered in between a most delicious duck and a few other meats that were fine. A small amount of sauce ran a trail through the dish. That's it. Really disappointed with the main course.
But because of the other positives we will give Zinc one more try."
