Amici Restaurant
Amici Restaurant strives to ensure that each and every one of our diners enjoys a memorable dining experience.
A large number or our clientele are from all points in North America, dining here while in town on business. These and other clients return because they enjoy our creative meals and atmosphere.
Our menu changes on a daily basis, yet we still serve some of our classics regularly. We also like to offer some more exotic dishes such as ostrich, wild boar, bison and venison for those who like to try something new each time they visit.
The food is always fresh, ordered from around the world and through local suppliers who seek out the best local produce when it is in season.
Our serving staff are careful to fulfill any dietary requests including helping patrons to avoid any foods to which they are allergic. We will also ensure a strict vegetarian meal, if requested.

"The wine we choose was excellent. The appetizer was a salad with chicken livers. It was very tasty and well presented. I ordered a pasta with medallions of beef tenderloin and a lobster tail. My pasta was overcooked and the beef and lobster had grill marks on it that gave them a strong, unpleasant taste. The lobster tail was also dry. There are a lot of better restaurants in Winnipeg that I would rather go to, but I thought I would give them this one more chance."

"Amici is a fine restaurant but needs just a bit of improvement.
Our misto salads, shrimp and scallop entrée and rack of lamb
entrees were good However, the lamb really did not need the
gooey crust which did not compliment the meat. A crust needs to be crusty
not overly moist. My biggest disappointment was the limited wine list which
has repeatedly been less than desirable on my last 3 visits to Amici.

I would strongly suggest that Amici make more of an effort to carry some
better higher end California wines especially the Cabernet Sauvignons
and Merlots. This classic restaurant can maintain its reputation by

"Amici staff said we did not have a reservation and that they were booked up for the evening. They would not even deal with my confirmation number I offered to provide, no apology was offered for the mistake . They said we should never book online through open table, but only call the restaurant. After checking with the manager she seated us at a table by the doorway ( not really in the restaurant but by the reservation desk) which was really cold, drafty and smelled of cigarette smoke when people outside the door were smoking. It was our anniversary dinner which we often celebrate at their restaurant, but have booked by phone in the past. A major disapointment!"

"Dine out Winnipeg provides the opportunity to try a set menu at a reasonable cost. Amici's menu is not to be missed. The goat cheese tart appetizer was exquisite, the salmon entee melted in the mouth and the pavlova had a crisp shell with delicious berries. The service was attentive and the wine list extensive. A very enjoyable experience"

"Restaurant / Country Club was under construction with no signage pointing you to the back side door to enter, looked completely deserted from the front of the building.
I had the passion fruit torte, very disappointed, it tasted old, crust was soggy/tough, I barely touched it. My partner had the Chocolate Cake, it was delicious."
