Sagaponack Bar & Restaurant is located in the Flatiron District (corner of Fifth Ave & 22nd St) & is named for the Southhampton village. Sagaponack is open for lunch, dinner, bar, weekend brunch & events. Our culinary team takes great pride in creating unique dishes that make Sagaponack a destination as well as a neighborhood restaurant. Our friendly & professional staff work diligently in order to make sure that our guests have a wonderful dining experience.
Sagaponack has a semi-private mezzanine level that accommodates up to 45 guests. It is the perfect place to hold business meetings, celebrate birthdays, or host bridal showers or clam bake style parties.
Some of our popular dishes are: Lobster roll, conch salad, lobster bisque, tuna & crab timbale, potato wrapped turbot, peppercorn crusted filet mignon, portobello mushroom tower with quinoa, banana pudding pie & Key lime pie. Come & experience the Hamptons in Manhattan without driving all the way to the Hamptons!
"Two of us had the crab cake benedict, one an open-faced omelette of the day. The waitstaff was superb, the brunch menu had a choice as good as it gets (including a lobster omelette, lobster roll, steak and eggs, salads). The seating was extremely comfortable (we sat along one of the banquettes). Even their coffee is especially good. Be aware there's upstairs/ downstairs tables. A couple of the tables on the ground floor in the rear weren't well lit, the only drawback. The decor is attractive with beachy paintings on the walls of, I assume, the ocean views of the Hamptons town of Sagaponack. It was a perfect choice for a pre-theater brunch before an Irish Rep matinee down the block. A real find, highly recommended, I'll go again."

"My husband and I were joined by my daughter and her boyfriend for a delicious meal. This is our third visit to the Sagaponack. There were many lobster suggestions on the menu. We ordered the lobster pot pie and lobster mac 'n cheese. Pur portions were generous and contained more large pieces of lobster than I ever would expect. The food is fresh and the service is attentive, yet unobtrusive. Other diners were seated strategically so we were able to converse in privacy. We had a wonderful time and hope to return there soon."

"Several of the selections were very good to excellent and the price and quantity were good by New York standards. For a Friday night, the restaurant was not crowded, which of course added to the quiet environment, perfect for visiting with friends"

"We really enjoyed the quiet mid-week dinner date we had here -- the servers were lovely, the classic food well prepared, and the ambiance homey and comfortable, with a country home/hamptons vibe. I was a little sad that there weren't more fellow diners there (maybe because of the deserted location next to a parking lot), because I'd like them to stick around. I'm also planning to try the brunch, because it seems like a great spot for that."

"Our experience was excellent. The restaurant feels more like being in a lovely home rather than a NYC restaurant. The ambiance is quiet, relaxed, but upscale. Absolutely beautiful staircase. We were a party of 5 and could have a conversation in which no one had to yell over noise. Almost all of us had the crabcake benedict dish and enjoyed it very much. Nice waiter and overall positive experience. Thank you!"

"Good seafood place. Not a bargain but seems to be quality all around. Have been there twice and we raved about all 4 dishes (scallops, skate, mussels, sea bass). If you want to try the place on a budget, the appetizers are fairly large (particularly the moule frites) and you can have dinner in the $10-$20 range. Most entrees are $20-$30."

"Seems outdated, tired and rather dull. The food was unremarkable, the lobster sliders rather bland. The pesto fries were the best part. Needs a makeover of both menu and decor."

"We went for lunch. We were seated right away (we did have reservations), and were attended to very quickly. I had the clam chowder which was far above average with a nice creamy texture and good chunks of clam and potato. After that, I had the lobster BLT, which was one of the better lobster sandwiches I have ever had. The mix of lobster and bacon was done in almost perfect proportions. My buddy had the korean BBQ sandwich, and he said that it was delicious. He said that he had been looking forward to it, because he had had it there a few other times, and he particularly liked it.
My only minor criticism was that other tables nearby that ordered after us were served before us. Not a big deal, but could have been explained."

"Third time here. Second time getting the fish tacos. Asked for hard shells but didnt receive which was disappointing. Service was good but the food was just average this time."

"My experience at this restaurant was a nightmare. I will never go back! The server was disinterested, slow, and when I accidentally spilled my drink, he waited almost 5 minutes before coming over and asking if I wanted to BUY ANOTHER DRINK. We ended up just asking for the check and leaving. I will never go back."

"The Flatiron district is full of restaurants that are great for lunch - reasonable prices, good food and quiet. Sagaponack is one of them. The atmosphere and menu are "summer beach" which was a bit jarring on a cold wet winter day but also lifted our spirits by the end of the meal. We had the crab roll and lobster roll but there was a wide variety of other choices. The seafood was fresh and the accompanying fries were crisp and well-seasoned. Service was prompt and courteous if a bit less than engaged."

"Second time at Sagaponack for dinner. Food, drinks and service was wonderful. I had grilled steak (cooked to perfection) with pesto fries (yummy). My dining partner had the lobster roll which was also delicious. We both had lobster bisque as an appetizer which was the best Lobster Bisque I've ever had. I definitely recommend this restaurant."

"Went with a friend for lunch. Very busy place, lobster roll with a salad and fries is a good deal at $18. Desert pecan square was so over-baked couldn't actually get a fork though it. For $6 what I scraped off the top plus the whipped cream and ice cream that came with it was fine. Ambience is good, maybe a little on the too-dark side upstairs - worn "beach house" motif didn't overwhelm me but was comfortable. Menu was large with reasonable prices so fairly priced for what it is."

"Cold night, restaurant not crowded, was given a good table, quiet so the four of us could converse easily. Mixed reviews on the food and drink, and the bar closed early (10 pm) so we had to go someplace else for more drinks and talk. Overall it was okay, quiet, not expensive, but lacking lively appeal."

"Had a reservation for a late lunch (2:30), and service was excellent! Due to the late timing, I was able to easily discuss business in the quiet atmosphere. Ample menu choices gave us a great variety. Food was served quickly, and with good presentation.
Definitely a great dining spot!"
