"Very noisy. Could not even carry a conversation with the other couple at our table.
Not likely would be returning soon......Been their once before on a weekend.....it was noisy then but this time was a new level of noisy.
Food was very good but not good enough to compensate with putting up with the noise."

"It was nice to go to a restaurant, order a steak, and have it beautifully prepared and served just as you had asked for it, despite the various orders around the table. The restaurant has a nice feel to it, service was good. We were a group of 8 and we were in an out in less than 2 hours, which I thought was extremely reasonable. At any rate, I wil definitely dine here again and would most definitely recommend you go."

"Two of us had the paella for dinner and two the salmon special. All were great. Service was okay not outstanding. Had two waitstaff. The first one who was very friendly and helpful went off shift and the second one was only okay. It was my first time and I will definitely return soon."

"We have dined at Hermanos many times this year before our MTC play. The experience has always been a good one and the food has been excellent. We intend to dine here next year as well. The service is friendly, polite and efficient. I would recommend this for any occasion"

"We celebrated my son's birthday and everyone enjoyed their dinner. The service was great and the food tasty. My husband and I shared a mixed platter for two and it was very plentiful. We each enjoyed a skewer of shrimp, a skewer of chicken, and a skewer of steak. Also included was a chorizo sausage for each of us and a skewer of veggies and a bowl of mashed potatoes. The restaurant has a large lounge area, so that you could relax with your favourite beverage and a tapas or two."

"Went and tried Hermanos for a birthday celebration, just my spouse and I. The service was great and the food was delicious - definately recommend the Ribeye (Baby Cabrera).
However I would not recommend this restaurant if you want to hold a conversation of any sort, it was so overwhelming loud I could barely hear my husband. After our meal we just wanted to get out so we could hear ourselves again."

"Although we've had several great experiences at Hermano's, May 3,2013 wasn't one of them.
Our waitress and two other staff stopped at our table to inquire about our evening and the food, however all three people did not fill my empty wine glass from the bottle at the table.
We had 1 1/2 hours for 2 salads and 2 appetizers so we were not worried about time. However, after our salads were cleared it was 45 minutes until the appetizers arrived. We had to ask for the bill when the food arrived as it was 90 minutes after we ordered. No explanation or apology was offered for our extensive wait or having to leave without eating (but we paid for the tardy and uneaten meals)."

"We went to Hermanos before a play at MTC. To our delight they had a 37 dollar prize fixe menu which included a starter, an entree, a dessert and a pop, tea or coffee. I had tomato bisque, fish of the day, which was salmon with a creamy caper sauce served over pesto gnocchi and asparagus and passion fruit cheesecake. My husband had the heart of palm salad, beef Milanese and the black and gold dessert. Everything was great! The amount of food was overwhelming. The pesto gnocchi was our least favorite but it was still good. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. I would definitely recommend a visit here."

"Hermanos is one of the best in the city. The beef is memorable-thick and juicy and spiced beautifully- served with amazing dips and sides- you just can't get a better steak anywhere. The service is delightful- the staff are present but not intrusive and they know their stuff. The lunch menu is also excellent- a little pricey for lunch but worth it if the lunch is special or you want to impress. I highly recommend it."

"This was a fantastic expirience! I used to work there, and loved it then and I still love it.
Although the gluten free chocolate cake was not the same as I remember it. This one was very dry.

"The food looked outstanding, and there were lots of choices ( even if you are a picky eater). I was disappointed in the amount of salt used in all the dishes. It overpowered the great smelling rub on the meat. The two choices of soup when we went were: potato bacon, and a tomato bisque. Both had nice flavour but were too salty. The hanging "mushroom" -looking lights were cool, and the exposed brick walls were charming. However, with little to absorbe the sound, the noise level made it difficult to have a conversation. The whole atmosphere was very trendy, and fun, the server was just super, she had been given way too many tables and was running all night, but still managed to give our table good service."

"The food was excellent, but the restaurant was really really loud. We came in the late evening on Friday so that we could hear the live latin music which was great, but we found people just talked louder and louder over the music. We had to lean over the table to talk with our dinner companions. I would go again for the food, but not on a friday night."

"Had been here previously with a group and returned with a friend. I have slight hearing loss so requested a table off to ourselves. Upon arrival we were seated right next to the only other customers in the place at the time. It was at the back of the restaurant and I should have requested a sunnier location near the front. The service was attentive but not overbearing. My friend had the "soup of the day" along with the Natal Cashew + Fruit Salad and enjoyed both. I had the Bricklayer Steak Sandwich and though delicious I felt it was more medium than the rare I ordered. We both had the Gluten Free Chocolate Cake which was very dense and I had a hard time cutting through it with the spoon provided. I wouldn't order this again."

"I found the dish I chose to be quite pricey for the food presented on the plate. I believe the dish was called Lomo and I can.t remember the rest of the name. The steak was very salty.
Over all, everyone else enjoyed their food. We were celebrating a 92nd birthday and I mentioned this to the hostess but no acknowledgement was made by our server. Obviously, the hostess was not attentive to the information and that was quite disappointing."

"Had a great experience! We took our daughter out for her 23rd birthday and the energy and ambiance were perfect for her! My husband and I found it just a little loud, but the liveliness and energy were exactly what my daughter was looking for and she loved it! It was also a place that is very accomodating for wheelchair users! We were notified ahead of time about the ramp and parking at the back of the restaurant and we were promptly met when we arrived. Our hostess also made sure that we were seated at a table that worked well for my daughter's wheelchair. Food was great too! I didn't know that a downtown Winnipeg restuarant could be so vibrant on a week night!"

"First time I was not completely satisfied with my dinner at Hermano's. Always before the quality of the meat has been outstanding but not this time. Also, I had a latte after dinner that tasted like it had been made with canned milk. The waitress said she uses a 'Tasimo' machine or similar to make the coffee. Excuse me? Actually, there is no excuse for not using a proper coffee machine. I think the owner is becoming over extended with the opening of Carnavale and preparations for a fourth venue and Hermano's is suffering from a lack of direct supervision by management.
Actually, tried Carnavale a couple of weeks back. The meat was terrific but everything else was below standard, including the service and decor. I won't be rushing back."

"The food and service was excellent. The tomato bisque was so tasty that we wanted a second bowl! Portion sizes were just right. We left fulfilled with nothing left on the plate. We watched the entrees being served to other tables and decided we want to come back and try some of those the next time. Our only criticism is that the noise level was quite loud which made it difficult to have a conversation with all at our table."

"This is the third time I have been to Hermanos. I live this restaurant. I try something new to eat everytime and I'm never disappointed. The only thing that brings it from five stars to four is the noise. It is very loud in the restaurant which is good and bad. It's good because you know when you are there everyone is having a great time and you feel like you are part of a party atmosphere (very South American), however, when you are with a couple of friends or out with your spouse it makes it a little hard to hear them. It takes away the intimacy. But...the food definitely makes up for it, and so does the service. Will be back!!!"

"The salmon dish was outstanding! Best I have been served in a restaurant. The salmon was moist but nice & crusty on the outside. My spouse had the Soccer Ball Steak and it was fabulous. Loved the grilled pineapple in the Natal Salad.
Very nice dining experience. The evening was a gift from our kids and we thoroughly enjoyed your restaurant. The young waitress was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu. Her recommendation convinced me to order the Salmon dish.

"We frequent Hermano's on a frequent basis when we have MTC night. Usually the food is very good and the service fantastic. This time however, it did not meet my expectations based on this past experience. The food was not 'fresh' hot, my fish tacos were warm and the tortilla shell was slightly burnt and took quite some time to service. The waitress was not as friendly as we've had in the past.
Next MTC, I think we will try another restaurant in the vicinity."
