"French onion soup was very good and my husband enjoyed the beet salad with calamari added. The duck confit was tasty but I was not thrilled with the special, stuffed flounder. I'll stick with beef in the west!"

"This was our third visit to Vogue Bistro in 2 weeks, this time with some foodie friends in tow. We had a wonderful meal and our friends were very impressed with the food and service. We're so happy to have found this gem of a restaurant in the west valley."

"This is our new favorite restaurant, and even better that we are supporting a locally owned restaurant. Excellent food; first time I'd tried the vogue burger and it was amazing. Fun martini choices and nice selection of wines. So good that we are bringing our foodie out-of-town guests for dinner this week, and we know they will be impressed."

"A bright spot in the sea of chain restaurants that is the West Valley. Fantastic food, great service, and a nice bar area with an extensive martini menu. Generous portions, and be sure to try the French onion soup, even if it's a hot day. The classic French dishes are here, along with some more "American" dishes, so there is something for everyone. The chef even made a special vegetarian dish for the people at the next table. Large patio seating area, which we will definitely try in the cooler months."

"Took both of my moms here for Mother's Day. Loved loved the food! Service was a bit on the slow side but we were dining during rush on Nothers Day so it's understandable. Bread pudding was fantastic!! Tip: ask for a bigger scoop of ice cream with the bread pudding."

"Dined here many times, always good. Looks like lunch time has a minor weakness. Second time that the Vogue burger, which is usually excellent, was well done instead of medium. Very dry. Seems that this only happens at lunch."

"In the fouteen years we've been here in Surprise, AZ we had never been to this restaurant, so for my mother's birthday I decided to book a table and give it a try. We are glad we did, and think we now have a favorite new local resturant. Food was well prepared, flavors were over the top, and our waiter was personable and attentive without "hovering". Portions are surprisingly ample especially for French-inspired fare. My only disappointment was the busboy, who clearly needs some instruction on clearing tables of all the used settings when people are finished. All their tables are a tight fit, so clearing them properly is an absolute MUST. Otherwise, that's our only criticism, and we will definitely be back again and again."

"The Vogue Bistro is a gem with a wide variety menu. The prices are moderate and the service was great. We had a group of 7 and everyone was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food. The Atlantic Salmon was delicious! There is a nice patio available for dining also. We did not order wine although there was a lengthy wine list available. This is one of the only restaurants in Surprise that is not a chain. I highly recommend a visit for lunch or dinner."

"Exceptional food at our most recent visit. If you haven't tried Vogue Bistro, you are missing a wonderful experience. It's a bit pricey so be prepared to pay a little more. However, if you love great food that's well prepared by experienced kitchen and wait staff, you need to plan a visit!"

"We wanted to like Vogue Bistro from the moment we walked into the restaurant, but were disappointed with the receptionist. We had a reservation and were told our table was not ready so we sat at the bar and had great service from Heather. Receptionist forgot us and said we did not have a reservation. Table server was good, but the food was mediocre. Nice atmosphere."

"On Easter Vogue served a limited menu of 3 entrees. We ate at noon which was when it opened for the day. My only complaint was that it took too long to serve the entreee given the limited choices.I realize that probaly 50+ poeople arrived at the same time (different parties)so that burndened that kitchen but it should have been expected since it was all reservations."

"Love the cozy setting - great patio, but the inside is so quaint, I prefer to sit inside. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend the salmon appetizer and of course you HAVE to order the french fries. Our waitress was outstanding."

"We've been to the Vogue many times both for lunch and dinner. This experience was not the best, not bad but not as superb as we've had in the past. Salads were excellent and served on a chilled plate, but that was the highlight of the dinner. Service and wine selection continues to be very good. Maybe we just hit an uneven night. Unfortunate because we had brought out-of-town guests and this has been one of our favorite places."

"My family had greatly enjoyed this diamond in the rough last October and a wonderful evening. Trying to replicate the experience with more people this March, we were let down when two guests' orders were not cooked to specifications and the meat appeared to be sub-quality. The waitress was apologetic and removed one dinner from the bill. I wasn't looking to be comped but appreciated the attempt to rectify the situation. The restaurant is definitely worthy of your patronage but I suggest that you stick with the daily specials or the fish."

"We were there to celebrate a birthday. The table was ready upon arrival and after ordering a glass of wine we checked the menu. For "starters", the onion soup is billed as the "best in the valley" and it is definitively in the running. It had an excellent somewhat sweet flavor with a crusty top. Entrees of the duck confit and the filet mignon were both tasty. The restaurant comped a birthday dessert and we chose the Vogue Foster and ate every bite. Our waitress was attentive and helpful. This was a very enjoyable dinner and we will be back."

"Our waitress was fantastic. She went out of her way to bring hot bread to our table. French onion soup was wonderful. Beet salad was great and the plantains were tasty... With reservations, they sat us immediately while others that did not have reservations had to wait. We had a group of 5 people and everyone enjoyed their food and the wine was good as well as the beer... Only one negative could be said and it was too much dressing on the beet salad. Otherwise, we would have scored it as excellent. The chef was very talented."

"LOVED Vogue Bistro! Had guests in from out of state; they were staying in Surprise and had driven up from a Kartchner Cavern trip so we decided to find a place near them - of course Open Table is where I looked which is how we discovered this gem! We split two appetizers and each got a different dish so we could taste each others plates. High marks to the smoked salmon appetizer!! and to the Meatloaf - if you go here without getting the meatloaf, you are missing out! We ended by splitting the creme brule (yum) and the honey cake (amazing!). I highly recommend this restaurant! We live in Chandler and next time we're anywhere west if I-17, we're going to make a point of going here!"

"We went for Valentine's Day. Restaurant has converted outdoor seating to semi-permanent seating by enclosing concrete patio area using a permanent ceiling structure and canvas sides that can be opened/closed with fabric ties. It was a cold evening for PHX, so they used electric heaters hanging from ceiling; our upper bodies were too warm and our lower bodies too cold. Cold air blew in from sides of canvas in corners of structure.
Food was quite tasty. Server was well versed on menu selections, but not very attentive.
All in all, food was very good, but the comfort level left much to be desired."

"Another delicious night, thanks to our talented neighborhood chef. Once past the hostess desk, which is staffed by a rather unfriendly little duo, the service is outstanding and warm. Each bite is sublime and our choice to spend special evenings there is always a good one."
