"The food and service was excellent but this restaurant was a bit pricey. The wine list was extensive but very high end. The bar drinks were overpriced as well. Would definitely return but would need to be for a special occasion to warrant the prices."

"Everything about the restaurant is great. Service is professional, food is very good, atmosphere is great. If the prices weren't our of this world I could become a regular here. Given that it wont' I'll save Il Postino for sepcial occasions. Vincenzo, the self-acclaimed PR staff person made the night special. I'll be back, but not frequenly enough for the staff to know me a s "regular".

"The service was professional, the food was very good, the prices were nuts. Now, was the food and service and abience worth the price? I'm returning once again this week to decide once and for all. It's definitely not a slam dunk but its a pretty good place. deGrezia nearby offers an almost identical list of specials and regular menu for about 20% less."

"I'm not sure if the restaurant has a new owner but surely a new chef who is even incapable of making a bolognese or a plain tomato basil sauce. The food was so bad that no one out of the 9 people in our party finished their dishes. And the worst part is that all of this came at a very high price. Even though the restaurant is literally behind the building where we live, we will never go there again."

"Could be the best salmon I've ever had! Stuffed with crabmeat - perfect temperature. It was a very generous portion, so I brought it home and enjoyed it a second night. Service was attentive, but not hovering. Start with the speck (Prosciutto) and parmigiana - so flavorful. I don't live in NYC, but I am here quite a bit - I will try to come every trip. A final note - I was with a girlfriend I hadn't seen in ages - we could actually sit and talk for hours and hear each other. So this resto is great for important business and personal conversations."

"Maybe I was expecting too much for a first visit on a Monday night. We were seated near an extremely boisterous group and asked to move and no one seemed too happy about that. On the other hand, the food was basically great and watching a sous chef make the zabaglione was a blast.

"What a great find! It feels just like a NY Italian restaurant should and their shaved posciutto is magnificent - they have the shaving maching right in the middle of the restaurant. Service was friendly and attentive. Great recommendations were made as well. This is one of my new favorites when traveling to NYC!"
