The dinner menu at Sears Fine Food spotlights some of the finest, freshest local fish and shellfish, as well as home-style cuisine. One popular dinner entree is White Seafood Pasta, with crab, shrimp, and clams in sherry cream sauce. The Combination Louie Salad is another scrumptious favorite. If you're more into turf than surf, consider the Sears Special Baby Back Ribs or a T-bone steak. Sears is home to the legendary Dollar Size Pancakes, and don't leave San Francisco without indulging in their world-famous Swedish pancake plate that includes 18 of these tempting plattar along with warm maple syrup and whipped butter, bacon or link sausage. When you dine at Sears Fine Food, you're sure to leave full and satisfied.
"I ate at Sears for breakfast and dinner while staying in San Francisco, as it was very close to my hotel on Powell Street, and because it was recommended to me by several travelers on my way out. It's nice to find a restaurant where the food is important and the atmosphere is friendly, not uppity. A lot of the dinner food is comfort food, like pot roast, pork chops, and pasta, but they manage to make a pretty tasty cioppino, as well. For breakfast, Sears is known for many tasty favorites, including the cute little Swedish pancakes with lingonberries I had, plus maple- flavored sausages that were also memorable. Prices are a bit high, but, hey, so is everything else in this town."

"Sears is a great spot for an excellent meal (not gourmet) for reasonable prices. The atmosphere is very old San Francisco, which I love. It's also a place that is great for any age. Good for both locals and tourists."

"Great classic San Francisco Union Square restaurant. This is a great restaurant for classic comfort food. I had the best piece of lamb I've ever eaten, which was a special item. The pancakes are nice touch, especially for the kids. I've been there three times, and plan to return."

"When we arrived din San Francisco, we didn't have a reservation. I checked Open Table and a table was available. We were quickly seated and greeted by the server. The menu choices were very good. Our party o four had four different dishes and they were all superb. The server seemed slow at times but from our seats you could see she was waiting for the items from the kitchen. We were in town for four days and this dinner is the highlight of our food choices during the trip. Good selection, good preparation and presentation, Good pricing and great historical setting."

"Excellent service and food but disappointed that they no longer have a liquor license only beer and wine.the restaurant upstairs now has the license but it does not warrant it."
