"We were a party of four dining with out-of-town guests. It had been several years since our last visit to the Rancher's Club. The service was outstanding; we all applauded the orchestrated simultaneous removal of our dinner covers revealing artistically arranged food. We couldn't have been more pleased. The blood orange sorbet and smooth creme brule were superior -- and both generous enough, they could (and probably should) be shared!"

"My favorite meal here had been on a special menu for New Years a couple of years ago. It was venison Wellington, and was terrific. I was able to make a special request a few days before this reservation, and they made the item for me. The service is always superb. If you want a dining experience that makes you feel "special", this is the place."

"A "medium" Prime Rib order resulted in a browned serving of meat beyond medium. A slice of prime rib should never arrive that way, but it was otherwise enjoyable. Has the steak chef NEVER asked for such a cut at The Cooperage or Black Angus in Albuquerque? He/she should, and be aware of those superior offerings - for much less cost. I was very surprised.
Yes, we'll dine at the Rancher's Club again, but I'll avoid the ridiculous Prime Rib."

"This was our second visit to the Ranchers Club & it was just as wonderful the second time. Our Captain was friendly, but not obtrusive. The food was wonderful, but be sure to be hungry when you go - servings are big! I wasn't going to eat all my steak but it was so good, I ate every bite!"

"For a romantic, quiet night out with great food and great service, you cannot beat this place. I have been going there for over 20 years and always go back. They have a dress code for good reason, but on this night it was not enforced. I guess you can eat at a five star restaurant in sweat pants, a jersey and a ball cap now. I may as well trade in my suit and tie."

"Had not been to Rancher's Club in a couple of years and it was as nice as I remember it always being. Service is impecable as the setting is wonderful. Food is terrific but the wine list could be better especially, the selections by the glass. However, we will definitely return again soon."

"Even though the steaks are excellent, the seafood specials are usually my choice. Lindy does a great job at the piano on Wed, Thur and Sat nights. This is just a great place to relax and enjoy the evening!"

"It was a special occasion for us (birthday. We did not know what to expect since normally restaurants in Hotels do not have the high standards as a regular high end steak restaurant. However, the menu gave us many choices, the Captain was very helpful and the atmosphere was more than we expected. We will recommend this to friends and hope to return again. Due to the high prices we cannot return as often as we like but we want to keep this as a special place to look forward to coming! Thank you!"

"Although expensive, it's absolutely worth it. Food was great, and it was one of the best Steaks I've ever had. They claim to cook over various types of wood embers, and that claim is solidified by the one-of-a-kind taste in the meat. I'm not a big guy, and I cleaned their 18oz ribeye to the bone. The atmosphere is wonderful and really sets the stage for a romantic dinner. Extremely extensive wine list, well stocked bar and great service only added to the experience."

"Excellent service, nice ambiance, and an excellent wine list, but the entrees (prime rib) were mediocre. One was ordered rare, but came out closer to the medium side of medium rare. Both were rather tough and dry. Wine probably was the high point of the meal. Overall, quite a disappointment, especially given the price."

"I've been living in Abq for 12 years now and finally made it over to the Rancher's Club. I was afraid the reputation would be too much to live up to. I was wrong. The entire meal we had at the Rancher's Club was by far the best meal we've had in NM. From the trendy and delicious appetizers, to the best caesar salad I've ever had, to the most perfectly cooked ribeye ever, The Rancher's Club is the place to go! We're hoping to go more regularly. It is pricey, but so worth it! Amazing."

"Decor in bar and dining areas very comfortable. Dining room seating extremely comfortable. Hostess amiable but not welcoming. Dining room staff was very attentive and welcoming. Our waiter, Thomas, was especially attentive. Prime rib good but not exceptional, the market salad and house vinaigrette was exceptional. Thank you. The lobster bisque was simply awful. It tasted of old, canned shell fish that had been sitting in a open aluminum can in the refrigerator. Please find another recipe. The wild boar lacked flavor and was drier than any pork I have had at a fine restaurant. The vegetables and polenta were very good. Finally, our meal took too long to prepare and be served."

"Wonderful dining experience. I brought my six year old son as my date for the evening. Staff was wonderful, he enjoyed our evening. "This was our first time to Ranchers Club. We were very impressed with the service and the amazing food. We are a middle class income family and I was actually very pleased with the price of dinner. I have spent more for less in many restaurants in the Albuquerque area. My wife and I will be visiting Ranchers Club again."

"Kind of an old school steak house vibe here. There's lots of leather, old pictures of cowboys, and heads mounted on the walls. You enter through the lounge/bar area before going into the dining room where there's a huge fireplace that makes the place feel very intimate and welcoming.
There's all sorts of steak on the menu. I liked the bacon wrapped bison tenderloin very much. I also tried the filet, and it was cooked to perfection. Overall, this place does meat, and they do it very well. They have venison, which is always fun to see on a menu, and they make a point to tell you on the menu where the meat comes from. I like that. For the herbivores, if you want a salad, they can do that, too."

"Superb dining experience. The menu is fresh, with a variety of items not found anywhere else in the Albuquerque Metro area. I thoroughly enjoyed my two bone Kurobuta pork rack and my husband enjoyed his Prime Rib. The sides were crisp and fresh as well.
