The Boulder Cork Restaurant has provided quality food and excellent service since 1969. The restaurant is now one of Colorado’s most renowned dining experiences. The casual, yet attentive atmosphere is the perfect place to spend a special evening, be it to relax with friends or entertain business associates. Our banquet facilities can accommodate large groups with the quiet proficiency and superior quality that has become the hallmark of The Boulder Cork. The food is an impressive display of creativity and variety, masterminded by the chef, Jim Smailer. Chef Smailer has created an enticing offering of steaks, prime rib, chicken, pasta, and fresh fish selections; all on the cutting edge of culinary delight. The food is as fresh as the market allows. "Atmosphere warm, romantic setting. Staff makes the experience wonderful - they are very accomodating and friendly -the hostess kindly let us walk around the restaurant to find a table of our choice. "The cork is a great little restaurant and a rare find in Boulder since they have wide assort of mouth watering steaks. The desert menu is great and will break the will of the most diehard dieter. The service is good and you can always find a nice wine to complement your meal."

"Celebrating graduation we had great service and the food was good. My prime rib was as good as I have ever had and my sons teriyaki steak was delicious. Ceasar salad was not great. Unfortunately the acoustics are terrible. They could reallly use some sound absorption solutions in The Cork."

"The early dinner is served from 5pm to 6pm. You have to ask for the menu. As 'senior citizens' it's wonderful. The portions are a little smaller, so just right, and it helps us stay on budget. We celebrated yet another birthday at "The Cork," and were served their incredible mud pie! We all agree it is the best mud pie we've ever had! We highly recommend this great restaurant and will go back again and again! PS The service has always been excellent! Happy, knowledgeable, warm people make the experience even more delightful!"

"The steaks here were great. The sauces for the steaks were a mixed bag. Loved the blue cheese sauce and the Bernaise, but the chimichurri was not a favorite.
I prefer warm bread, with olive oil for dipping. Here, the bread is served room temperature and the butter served with it is cold.
The drinks also got mixed reviews. One person loved the house margarita. The Cosmo was overly sweet. The wine selection was very good. The waitress brought a glass of wine, when a bottle was ordered.
In general, the waitress seemed rushed and didn't take the time to inquire about how we were doing and if we had additional requests.
The Cork is a lovely place for special occasions, but is far too expensive for us to dine there often."

"This rating applies to dinner at 7 p.m. On a Saturday night. We appreciate the consistently good service and the diversity of the menu. We were sad to see that the small fillet has disappeared from the menu. All of the other steaks are too big, so we ended up with burgers, which were very good. Go hungry!"

"Trying new places during $52.80 can sometimes be disappointing, and sometimes it can be fantastic. Our dinner last Sunday was a little of both. The three of us ordered off of the $52.80 menu, which was just a few items - but it was also possible to order off the regular menu which is a great option. In general the food portions were good - except my Shrimp Cocktail was two pitiful shrimp on a tiny bed of greens. The service was very good & I would eat there again."

"A friend of mine and I enjoyed our evening very much. The food was wonderful, as well as the service. It was very busy for a Monday evening, but that did not keep us from getting our table on time and our food came in a timely manner. We never felt rushed, but at the same time we were not forgotten, not for a second.
I arrived early and went to the bar for a drink. The bar person, Kelsey was warm, friendly and made me feel as though I was a regular. She went out of her way to include me in conversations with the locals. She was an excellent introduction to a great evening.
I highly recommend the Boulder Cork for a totally wonderful dining experience. I will return...

"I treated my boyfriend to his first Restaurant Week/5280 Week at the Boulder Cork. We were very disappointed in the portion sizes. For example, we both ordered the shrimp cocktail and each received a whopping TWO shrimp each. Also, the food was nothing original or special. I could have had cheaper but equally tastey dinner had I bought shrimp cocktail at King Soopers, grilled my own prime rib and made my own Creme Brulee. MAJOR LET DOWN."

"The food was magnificent with very nice portions, not too big, not too small.
Our waitress was very knowledgeable and did a great job of answering questions and keeping the meal at a good pace.
All in all this was a great Restaurant week find that we'll add to our list of plausbile nice dinner locales."

"We went because of Restaurant Week Their menu provided enough selection even at the special offering. Their full menu was excellent. Our server Lionel was our server and even though it was packed he did an excellent job. He explained the selections a suggested a wine that was a good pairing. My wife had a pork chop that was done right moist not dry like so many places. I had a

"The Cork was pretty good old school type steakhouse. We went for 5280 week and my prime rib was good, my wife had the curry fish which was good as well. Desserts were pretty good too. Is it the best restaurant in Boulder, no, but there is a lot to choose from here and the Cork would be good for special occasions. Although I hear the happy hour is pretty good too."

"We found the food and service to be excellent. A little on the pricy side but fit for a special evening out. We were able to take advantage of the 5280 week and found our evening to be very affordable given the specials offered. We found the crowd to be older than we anticipated, so definetly not a hip trendy venue. However, the food and service was excellent and the fireplaces throughout the dining rooms gave the space a warm and inviting tone."
