"Service was initially "over-zealous." Appetizers arrived on top of soup which arrived on top of entrees. Result: cold entrees. Had the feeling that the over-arching strategy was "Clear the tops! Serve 'em as fast as possible to rotate customers and maximize revenue." Curious fall-off in server attention at dessert time; took forever to get the check. Strange.
Restaurant venue is an inferno of hard surfaces and close-packed tops: VERY noisy! Pretty much had to shout to converse.
This venue stands in marked contrast to the two other (excellent) up-scale restaurants in the Grand Sierra. Next time we'll give Rim a miss."

"I had the Malaysian style curry-- definitely wasn't like any curry I've had before and I live with a Malay that cooks curry weekly. It was mostly broth with a few pieces of chicken and very salty. The menu was a little frustrating because it doesn't describe what you're ordering and the server wasn't very knowledgable as to what was in each dish. She also kept forgetting to bring us things like extra plates or drinks."

"It was a special night and we decided to go to the Rim, I ordered Spicy Orange chicken and Philadelphia roll and pot stickers followed by a Mango parfait. The Philadelphia roll was a bit small but good, the Pot stickers were so over cooked I could have played a complete tennis match and not dented any of the stickers. The Orange spicy chicken was so spicy and tough that my mouth is still burning and I cannot taste anything. The Mango Parfait on the other hand was fabulous, either that or the other food was so bad it made the parfait taste great. The service was first rate."

"We had a great time here because of our great waitress and the easy location in our hotel, though the server managed to spill half of an entree sauce onto the white tablecloth when setting down an entree plate. The food here apparently tries to cater to American tastes and biases with a menu full of old 'asian' favorites like mongolian beef and kung pao. Most of the sushi rolls come with some sort of sweet sauce, and the noodle portions are massive. No fusion or inspiration here."

"Made a reservation to be able to do all-you-can-eat sushi while my wife had something more pleasing to her. While being seated the hostess seemed disinterested in our being there. Got to ordering and the all-you-can-eat is for the bar only. No mention of this anywhere on the menu, sushi menu, or website when we booked. Asked to be moved to the bar, apparently there was an 1 hour wait for the bar, so that was not much of an option even though there were two seats that were not taken during the entire 45 minutes we were there.
I ordered Mongolian Beef with fried rice. There was noting exceptional about the dish nor the rice. Something that you would get from a typical Chinese restaurant. Not bad, just not special.
A fair experien"

"We had the sea bass-a bit expensive-but fresh and delicious. Service was excellent. reservations were for 7pm on a Friday night-turns out, I'm glad I made reservations-they got very busy and soon had a line of waiting diners."

"That night I was very disappointed with the service. I took my mother out for her 61st B-day and we ordered the GSR meal for 2. I asked if we can have a hot & sour soup and a wan ton soup and was told NO by the server. I was told with the dinner we could only have one type of soup. So, I had to order my favorite soup the hot sour at an additional cost($3.95). The both of us were served a total of 3 bowls of soup! We found this very ridiculous! We should have been able to get 2 different types soups with the dinner. We totally had an extra soup! My mother can't have spicy foods because of her condition and I thought that Rim should have been more accommodating:("
