Teca Restaurant & Wine Bar
Teca is derived from three words. The first, paninoteca (panini bar) incorporated our more light fair and Italian tapas style dining. secondly, the word enoteca (wine bar) where we host one of the premier wine lists of the world featuring wines from our vineyard in Tuscany Casali Di Bibbiano. Finally, disctoteca, our night club venue upstairs known as Mezzanine. This space also lending itself to private functions of all kinds. At Teca, we pride ourselves in serving only the freshest and most authentic high quality ingredients around. In addition to our mouth watering menu items, we compliment our cuisine with an array of fine wines, refreshing eighteen tap beer selection concentrating mainly on European and American micro-brews, and extensive variety of fine liquors from around the world. At Teca, we believe that food and drink are one in the same and that quality should never be sacrificed.

"My husband and I have been to Teca a few times and have always been pleased with the food. This past Mother's Day my husband took me there for brunch. I was shocked at how mediocre the food was and how fast our meal came out. I realize now it's not always a good idea to go out to eat on special occasions or holidays because you are rushed in and out and are forced to order off a limited menu. I ordered a proscuitto and goat cheese ciabatta sandwich with roasted red peppers. It came out in 5 minutes, the roll was cold, the proscuitto was a slab of 'pressed ham" and the goat cheese was minimal and had the consistency of cottage cheese. Iv'e had better sandwiches at Wawa. No excuses for that, especially when you are paying those prices."

"Ordered a salad with pears, grapes, gorgonzola, pine nuts, and added scallops... delish! Scallops were some of the best I've ever had. Noteworthy also, my friend ordered the Lobster Ravioli, and there was tons of lobster and crab meat in the dish. The sauce was excellent, smoky, creamy, and even had a peppery kick. HIGHLY recommended!"

"What a great experience. My wife and I shared several dishes. Each was very good to excellent. The service was friendly and efficient. The wine list has an excellent selection including many high end wines but you will pay for them. The only down side for us was the noise. It was not unbearable and didn't ruin a ondrful evening but it was a little annoying sometimes. We will definitely be going back!"

"Teca's vibe is well suited to the downtown West Chester scene. The dining spaces are intimate but also open to the street in summer. I had Teca's take on Veal Milanese and it was great! It reminded me of Veal Saltimbocca. Their recipe (Breaded veal Cutlet, Crispy Pancetta, Fontina Cheese, on a Tri-Color Salad w/ Lemon Olive Oil) was very refreshing and satisfying. My wife had Branzino that she loved. We will be back for tapas-style, but tonight we wanted the full Monty dinner. Enjoy!"

"Tables close together make it not a very romantic spot nor is it a place to go for private conversation. One side of the restaurant is much, much more noisy than the other. Food and service is good, so just make sure this is the ambiance that you want. if you were looking for a quiet romantic place, this is not it.

"Not sure what the big deal is with this spot. Noise level was similar to a night club, the front-house hosts appeared put-out upon our arrival, the food was barely warm (even after a send-back), and the wine offerings by the glass and bottle were the equivalent of a PA state store. The name includes "wine bar" - there is a bar and it has wine.
The fish special, Branzino, was three small strips of mushy filet drenched in heavy white wine/caper sauce and all for the low, low price of $33. The grilled calamari was black due to overwhelming thick balsamic something sauce.
Place was packed so obviously popular but for us was a dud."

"Four of us dined for the first time at Teca. The menu is generous and intriguing, even for this vegetarian. Lots of types of bruschetta, lots of small plates. The broccoli rabe was one of the best restaurant-made that I have ever had.My husband's veal was tender and delicious. Friend's gnocchi were described as light and tasty. Our Greek friend loved the eggplant appetizer. But be careful: the menu describes a risotto of the day for a certain price. The risotto of the day was described to my friend, and when she asked if the price was as stated, it was not - it was several dollars more. Other than that glitch, it is a great place and we will return."

"I would definitely recommend Teca for lunch or weekday evening dining. The food is very good and they have an excellent wine list. However, I will never go back for dinner on the weekend. We had a reservation for 8pm and weren't seated until 9pm. Our waitress was very attentive initally but after receiving our dinners, she disappeared. It has a very lively bar scene so, by the time we sat to eat, it felt like we were dining in the middle of a club."

"Food was outstanding once again other than that goofy toast triangles they give when you ask for bread. Stupid. Penne alla Vodka is still my favorite but had the eggplant rollatini this time and its a close tie. Outstanding!
If you go in the winter be sure not to sit by the first table near the door. You get a freezing cold draft up your back and have to wear your coat. They tell you its under a warmer, it isn't"

"Texas us just a few blocks from where we live so we go there often. Most get panini not entrees. Had a agreat time here on Fri for dinner
. Only complaint was it was very chilly. We were in the older section and had to put our coats on. Otherwise it was great."

"Food great as usual. Service was not. Our waiter rushed us through dinner, clearly trying to turn the table. We had the check before he asked about dessert and coffee. For such a usual great place w/ great servers he really did the reputation of the restaurant a diservice. All 8 of us were surprised and taken aback. We all dine out often and this was unaccpetable. Always loved TECA but would think twice about going back now."
