"I am a local and it was fine but I should know better not to go to las caus or the blue on rookie night - Cinco D'Drinko. It took Luis almost 1 hour to get out our appetizers and watch out for the tip included in the check. overall I like the place but the service is OK and the food is pretty good."

"The Blue Coyote was a great lunch stop following the drive down from L.A. My husband and I both got the fish tacos. He had them the way they came. I substituted the steamed veggies in place of the rice and beans. Great as the fish is grilled rather than fried. Margi on the side and we were both very happy. Great way to start that two day escape when one arrives in P.S. before check-in time."

"We have been to the Blue Coyote many times and are never disappointed. The margaritas are fantastic, but watch out of the Wild Margarita - more than two may make you a little two friendly!! The food is always excellant. This is a Palm Springs must for anyone visiting the area."

"Menu has variety. Very tasty food. Vibrant ambiance & suitable for family dining.Service was efficient. Our server was attentive & polite. We had a table of 8 that included 2 young children & he was excellent with them.He was also very honest. We were not aware that the policy was an automatic 17% tip on tables of 6 or more. I tipped suitably based on the owed amount & he returned the bill & explained the gratuity was included & that I had paid too much. Admirable ad I would not have noticed."

"One of our GO-To places for years. Ambiance is romantic, relaxing. Food never disappoints. When we have friends in town and want to impress them and just relax with them, off we go to Blue Coyote. They love it. Also, nice for special meals out together - just the two of us..or for a treat after a long day. Their Special Margarita is a favorite. Prices are reasonable for this level of cuisine. Not a steal, but you don't have to mortgage the house to go there either.
Go at night when the beautiful Palm Springs sky is lit with stars and sit among the fountains and flowers and be delighted by the food.
If it's cold go inside. It is cozy with fireplace, bar and sports on TV."

"Very good Mexican food within walking distance of old Palm Springs. If you plan on walking through the crush of the Thursday night market, this makes a great place to start for dinner. You will need a dinner reservtion and Open Table makes that easy to do. Margaritas are exceptional!"

"We were a bit disappointed in that we were shown to a table that was off under a rooftop area. But, when we asked to move to a more suitable area under the stars there was no problem in that and we were given a better location.
Staff was very attentive and helpful and food was quite good. We'll be back!"

"The restaurant is much more expansive than what it looks from the front. Extends back with various options for indoor and outdoor dining. The chips and salsa were delicious...we probably ate too much since the food came out a little slow. The baby back ribs were delicious...the most meat I've ever seen on ribs...and were described as the "best ever" by another in our group. I had the carnitas were also delicious...the southwestern style. Would definitely go back!"

"My wife and I have been going to the Blue Coyote for many years. The Jalapeno Filet was always a favorite. On this visit, the hostess was very impersonal, we had to wait for beverage service for 15 minutes, we had to wait for food service for another 10 minutes. When the food came, it was poorly presented, overcooked and nothing like the good food we are used to at this restaurant. It was oscar night, the place had very few people in it, so there was no excuse for the poor service or quality of food. I have heard from several friends that the quality of this restaurant has deteriorated and thats a shame. It is or was one of the more popular places in Palm Springs. It would take a lot to get me to go back. I am very disappointed."

"Had high hopes for this place. Ambience was great and we were all looking forward to the meal.
First problem was that though we got there when it wasn't obviously busy (6:30pm), the food tokk neatly 30 minutes to come out after ordered.
Of those, the Soutwestern meatloaf was quite good, the flat iron steam was good, but unfortunately 3 of our group ordered the Lomo de Puerco. For all three people who ordered it it was hard as a rock. All 3 stopped eating when they got tired chewing.
When my wife politely pointed this out, the response from the waiter was "well, you know port - they have to cook it a really long time and sometimes this just happens". Yeah, well that's not really true, but oh well.
We won't be back."

"The restaurant is huge, though it doesn't appear so from the street. The margaritas are very good, but the evening we were there, we were put in a room way in the back with 2 large groups. We had to go look for a waiter. When we finally got one, he was fine, but the wait for food was long and the food itself only ok.
It was a very crowded evening and the staff seemed very busy. However, the size of the place seemed to militate against a good meal."

"We enjoy the food here and we always had friendly service. We tried their carnitas appetizer for the first time. The pork comes either fried or shredded and baked in a banana leaf. We chose the latter and it was deliciously! The pork was very tender. We also had our standby favorite appetizers which are the tequila prawns and the pollo naranja tenders. The sauces and flavor on both these appetizers are absolutely awesome! I also had the Roasted Corn Chowder for the first time and it was very smooth and the poblano chiles gave the chowder a very nice flavor. For dessert, we order the Mayan Pyramid for the first time. It's a very smooth chocolate cake with a hint of chocolate ganache and hazelnut and it was wonderful!"

"We love this place! It's our favorite restaurant in the Palm Springs area. We had our stand by favorites, the Pollo Naranja Chicken appetizer (it also comes in a meal)and the Tequila Prawns. The orange sauce on the Naranja Chicken is awesome and the flavor on the prawns is absolutely amazing. I had their posole soup for the first time and it was very good. It had just the right amount of spice and I would definitely order it again. My husband really enjoys their wild coyote margaritas, he saids they are the best and the service is always nice and friendly."
