"Came here once before for an anniversary dinner and then last evening for a graduation dinner with a large group. Had high expectations since my last visit was perfect, and Fiorentino's did not fail to impress. The stuffed Gnocci was a favorite for our table along with the crab cakes. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants."

"We arrived and were seated quickly for our reservation on Mother's Day. My main complaint was that the tables on all sides of us were very close together. In order for the waiters to get by, they needed to go between our two tables behind me. I gotgknocked every time a waiter went by. There was no escaping it as the tables were jam packed in there. It was so annoying
The food was adequate, but it was a rather expensive meal (which we didn't mind paying for Mother's Day.) The veal marsella was tough. My husband loved his fish and it was delicious. The indoors looked like an outdoor garden and was very attractive. On another night it might be better."

"This wonderful Italian eatery has taken its place amongst the best in Chicago. It took a while to accomplish this but time has turned this neighborhood venue into a WINNER! Waitstaff is knowledgable and "fun". No rushing the patrons ins this establishment, rather encouragement to take your time, converse with friends, and savor the food. Each of our 4 person group enjoyed a separate entree and the consensus was that all were sensational. From the pasta with it's savory sauce to the veal and chicken dishes, everybody wanted to try a "sample" of every dish on the table. Other than "Ooh, that's fantastic", conversation gave way to just good old fashoned eating! Reasonably priced, it is really a "don't miss" place to go

"My family from Crystal Lake came to the city for my birthday dinner. I originally requested a seat in the outdoor patio because it's so pretty, and usually it's quiet (my dad is hard of hearing), but this time, it was the first 70 degree day of the year so EVERYONE wanted to sit outside. After we were seated, my mom asked if we could move inside so my dad could hear us better, and it was no problem. The atmosphere is soothing, with all the famous "crooners" playing over the speakers, it is beautifully decorated, and the service is excellent! And since it was my birthday, they brought me a signature dessert on the house! My parent's didn't even have to ask-- they had it written on our reservation."

"repeat visitor-which says it all! Last visit was somewhat differentthan usual as it was quite busy (earlu Sunday night with many families which included 6-12 year olds). Our waiter forgot to place an order for a salad I had ordered with my pasta-not fatal- but not up to the usual wait staf experience. Living in the neighborhood assures tat we will return.Lou The Listener"

"The ambience was wonderful!!! Small and intimate. I wish the tables were alittle further apart. The food was outstanding, huge portions and our extremely handsome waiter was excellent!!!

"I have been here several times and never had a bad meal. The staff is friendly and does a great job explaining different things on the menu. Coming from an Italian family, I hold very high expectations. Fiorentinos meets those expectations every time. This will always be one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Chicago!"

"One of my wife and I's favorite spots. Nevermind that it's on Ashland, you won't hear the street the minute you enter the door. The outdoor area feels like Sicily and is also surprisingly quiet. I can't get away from the Tilapia Almafi, but I try my wife's dish every time and they are all fantastic. I highly recommend the signature pasta or the Tortelini alla panna."

"I absolutely loved Fiorentino's. The restaurant itself is adorable. The food was great and at a reasonable price. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly as well as the rest of the staff. Perfect setting for a date night :)"

"We decided to try it out for Restaurant Week. I got the Butternut Squash soup,a favorite of mine, but it was lukewarm. I'm not sure if it was to be that temperature. I had the veal scallopini. The veal was a bit rough, needed a knife, but tasty. The pasta sauce was kind of bland, the entire plate was sort of lukewarm. I don't know if my food was on the cool side since we were in the covered outdoor garden area. My husband had the fruite de mare, and that was pretty tasty. Our other couple had the veal as well and the sweet sausage with rigatonni, which also was good. Again, I don't know if the food was on the cool side because of the room. The rigatonni sauce was good, but the regular tomato pasta sauce I had, m'eh. Try it."

"Food was great, service was great. Made the mistake of personally choosing a table in the back of the all season area and was next to the noisey heater - my mistake! Definitely going back though..."

"They have a chocolate gelato / ice cream type dessert with Kahlua and I believe Dutch chocolate (I could be wrong), and it is honestly one of the most delicious desserts I have ever had anywhere. Totally mind-blowing. DEFINITELY try it."

"The food and service were wonderful. However the table we were seated at was terrible. It was in the covered patio and I was sitting next to a large heating pipe. It was sweltering and made for a very uncomfortable 2 hours. I asked if the heat could be turned down, but was told that the people by the front window were cold. Instead , I was given several cloth napkins and told to stuff them in the hole in the pipe. I loved this restaurant but won't come back unless I can get a table in the front room."

"Went with my wife, daughter, and mother. I had the Risotto al Anatra. Both, the duck and risotto were cooked perfectly. However, I would rather have had the duck to risotto ratio to be more duck than risotto. My wife had the veal parmigian and my mother had the chicken marsala. Both were impressed. Finally, the Tiramisu was very good. Overall, the food was very good, but not great. Service was great, the server gave good recommendations and was very attentive. It's only a few blocks away from home, so we will be back."
