Ox & Fin is a ninety-five seat NW steakhouse with Italian sensibilities in the middle of the Willamette Valley. Our locally sourced menu features starters, house-made pasta, seasonal ingredients, and the best seafood and meats Oregon has to offer. "Overall, the food was excellent. However, the grilled octopus, which we have had several times before, wasn't as flavorful as it has been in the past. My duck breast was perfectly done, and very tasty with a huckleberry sauce. Desserts, especially the olive oil cake, were yummy."

"our starter were delicious. husband had the beet salad. I had the oysters. Entree was the rigatoni with sausage and I had the lamb .Wine , service all around great. Thank You.
PS I forgot to mention to the hostess/concierge that we were open table customers, to receive our points so we can build up points moving forward on our next choice of restaurants Thank You and please advise and confirm on the points."

"Nice casual dinning. Great food and a good spot to meet good friends. we live ~ 35 miles northeast of Eugene and our friends live about the same distance due east of Eugene. We meet in Eugene occasionally and try to chose a new place to meet each time. The OX and FIN was a keeper."

"I ordered the scallops: tasty, but too salty! Beet salad was very good, a favorite. My sister's chicken breast entree was nothing special. Steelhead was palatable, but average. Generally, the food is overpriced. I had the Cornish game hen there previously, that was exceptional. I took guests there this time, and was disappointed. Considering the bill, I expected the food to rate an "excellent" overall, not average. Ambience and service were were pleasant, but the tables are too close together to feel comfortable."

"This was our 4th or 5th time at Ox & Fin and it has always been special. This time, we had an anniversary and birthday to celebrate and requested a special desert for the occasion. "We had appetizers prior to dinner which were excellent, particularly the calamari. All the dinners were very good. The only critique is that two in our party had the Hangar steak which was a little tough. The cod was perfect, as was the pasta dish. Love the cookies they give you after the meal. The service was also excellent."

"Nice feel to the restaurant. We were sat at a horrible little 2 top up front by the window between two other couples. When we complained we were able to move to a booth that just opened up (we could have moved to the bar too)...we would not have stayed if that table was the only option. Service was great and very relaxed. Food was just ok. I got the hanger steak which was a little chewy and my husband got a crab pasta dish that was almost a half serving. The grilled pear app was very good. If you go here it will be fine but if you have a choice you won't be missing anything if you end up at another restaurant."

So just the two of went on a Saturday night. Was very pleased with not only the service but your food is outstanding. We had appetizers, drinks & entrees & all were great!!! "Good experience. Excellent service. Food had wonderful favors and presentation, but hanger steak was a bit chewy.....ordered medium rare, which it was, but was expecting it to be a bit more tender. Small pours on liquor....Hendrix Gin martini in small martini glass was $11.50, way higher than other local places charge. Overall good, but likely won't eat there often due to price of liquor, as our group likes to drink!"
