Unpretentious, intimate, and welcoming, Gianfranco's sits unassumingly among The Shops at Crescent Moon, an eclectic collection of stores and restaurants tucked away at the west¬erly foot of Pinnacle Peak. Don't expect a glitzy exterior; the restaurant is housed in a modest stone-front building. The restaurant's ambiance comes together to create a mellow friendly ambiance, a home away from home feeling.
"waiter was slow getting started-appeared rushed and not interested. did not give prices of specials unless asked.
cocktail was good---until later when we learned we were charged $1.50 per glass for ice! two large pieces of bread were given along with two small pads of butter. had to ask for more butter. did not check to see if we needed more to drink.
Poor service, below average food, above value prices!"

"Dined here this week with a friend who had never been, the food, service and ambience were all exceptional. I have eaten here numerous times and never been disappointed."

"Would recommend for foodies. Great menu (especially veal and pasta), but not inexpensive. Wonderful appetizer list. Nice wine list, but a bit pricey. Large number of nightly specials. Service was terrific (not rushed), and atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. We will be back."

"Just an excellent restaurant from top to bottom. We were able to order half portions of the dinners for the kids which worked out well. Still not cheap, but not many things that are high in quality are. Would definitely recommend."

"Wonderful location and good food. Service was a weakness. It took 10 minutes after we were seated before we received menus and a wine list, and we had to request both. The server was a poor imitation of a drill sergeant, which was off-putting. With better trained and organized staff, this could be a great restaurant."

"Was good not great, 2 tops are oddly large and it is very loud so it was hard to have a conversation with my gal without talking loud, and then I could here everything the 2 top next to us was saying because it was so loud and the tables are too big. I'd go back but not on a weekend unless it was with 4 and not a date place... lots of older peeps"

"Food was outstanding, service was very good, wine list was complete, just goofy with price. Plump jack at $225, really??? I don't mine paying a fair share, just not paying the fair share for all. The waiter recommended a suitable substitute. A wonderful evening. M"

"The food was excellent but it was Valentine's Day, very crowded, they added extra tables and we were seated by the kitchen. It made it hard to hear each other and made for a not so relaxing meal."
