Nobu Las Vegas
Nobu Las Vegas is a two time Michelin Star awarded restaurant that combines traditional Japanese cuisine with South American influences to create modern and unique flavors. The dinning is family style. Signature dishes to satisfy any palate include the Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno; thinly sliced fresh yellowtail is set in citrus soy sauce accented with garlic and cilantro, the Marinated Black Cod is broiled and served with a sweet miso sauce, also the Alaskan King Crab Tempura with a tangy Amazu Ponzu sauce is complimented by shaved red onions, micro cilantro, and sliced serano pepper. Exotic offerings include Assorted New Style Sashimi topped with garlic, ginger, and sesame seeds then seared with a mixture of hot sesame and olive oils, slivers of Japanese Red Snapper with dry miso crumbles, scallions, and crispy garlic chip is set in yuzu juice and olive oil. The sushi is fresh as is all the seafood and most dishes will introduce a guest’s taste buds to delirium.

"My sister and I were looking very forward to our farewell to Vegas dinner at Nobu, and we were not disappointed. The kitchen was very accommodating to my sister's allergies, and the food selected by the chef for the omakase menu was exceptional. Our server, Gordon, was top notch in all aspects and made our experience that much better. The only negative (not specifically for the restaurant) is the location in the seemingly incongruous lobby of the Hard Rock Hotel, and the location of the washrooms in that lobby. The restaurant doesn't really seem to "fit" that environment, however once inside the restaurant the location does not really matter."

"This was not our first time at Nobu and the staples were as awesome as ever. Rock Shrimp, black cod, miso eggplant are not to be missed. However, our server Alex was absolutely the worst server ever. He approaches a table of five with one drink menu, no regular menus, and starts asking if we would like edamame. Ow about letting us see the rest of the appetizers Alex? Once I asked for a menu it was all attitude from there. Go there but beware if you get seated with Alex."

"By far the best sushi/fish dishes I have ever eaten in my life.... and fish is the only meat I eat!! Very unique flavors and take on sashmi. If you have been to Uchiko, very similar (but Nobu is significantly better). You get a 4 piece sashmi dish for $25... entree dishes between $40-$70 but those are pretty small too. You go there to taste, enjoy and have an experience... not to get full (unless you want to spend $1000+ for 4 people). I recommended snacking on something tasty and light a few hours before you go... that way you aren't starving but enough to have an appetite!! Enjoy"

"I'm not a foodie or expert in sushi, but this experience was amazing. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the food and asked us our likes/dislikes in terms of food preferences. We were honest about not being well versed in sushi, and decided to leave it up to the waiter to work with the chef to build and serve our dinner menu. Everything tasted very fresh and flavorful. Even the dish we liked the least was pretty good. The blackened cod served on butter lettuce was probably our favorite. I would definitely recommend this place to others."

"I'm local to Las Vegas and have tried a bunch of different sushi restaurants. I'd always heard about Nobu, but figured that it had lost some luster since it had been around for a long time and since the opening of the Nobu hotel at Caesar's. I was entertaining friends from out of town, and suggested we try it. WOW! WHile the Hard Rock might not be "THE" place to go at present, the restaurant was excellent. There was great people watching, the wait staff was very attentive and made some great suggestions, the was no rush even though the restaurant was packed during the middle portion of our dinner, and the food was excellent! I would definitely recommend and can't wait to try it again!"

"We were recommended Nobu from others as a must go when going to Las Vegas and they were not wrong. We had our best meal if our stay at Nobu and with all the great restaraunts there, that says a lot. We put out meal in our server's hands and he treated us to some amazing dishes. The yellowtail with jalapeño and cilantro was our first dish. The flavors were bold yet delicate and meshed together perfectly. After we finished it, we couldnt wait ti see what came next. It set the mood for the rest of the meal. Next time we are in Vegas we will be going back. If you are in Vegas, you must go. If you like sushi, this place will make you a lover. If you love sushi, this place should be on your bucket list."

"After reading the reviews (mixed it's true) about Nobu and hearing friends rave about it, I expected the food to be terrific. Except for the spicy Crab which was good, I can get the same sashimi and sushi in Albuquerque. Perhaps all the attention is being diverted to the new Nobu, as we went to the one in the Hard Rock Casino."

"Nobu Las Vegas is one of our favorite locations. My husband and I go there quite often and think it is better than the Soho location. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with our experience on Sat night. We went for my birthday and had been looking forward to it for weeks. Chef Nobu was in that evening (we sat right behind him) and it was almost as if the staff was on edge. Sadly, we had the worst service. Our dishes were coming out so fast that at one point I had to tell our server to take some plates back. We were sitting at a small table and had no room to eat. The other thing we noticed is that the staff kept trying to clear our plates when we weren't finished. They wanted to take away dishes that we were clearly still working on."

"Not sure if the new Nobu at Caesers is causing this one to begin to decline... I have dined at Nobu many times, always 100% flawless in every way. But this time a few areas were a sub par (keep in mind, sub par at Nobu is better than most restaurants will ever achieve.) The presentation on the dishes were a little sloppy this time, food quality was good however with one exception. The rockshrimp tempura was very greasy tasting, obviously the oil was not at the right temperature when cooked.
Good food still, but for the extreme prices they charge, not worth it this time. I will eat there again, buy maybe time to go check out the new one."

"Food was excellent. Special occasion for my best friend's 45th b-day and they accommodated with a nice corner table and surprised him with a cake and a candle. Food was delivered in a timely manner and the waiter was friendly and energetic. The only negative was the noise level. There was a huge party behind us, behind a curtain, that was REALLY LOUD. It is Vegas though so we weren't hugely surprised. I have been to Nobu in Malibu and Hawaii. This is the craziest of the three....."

My only criticism would be to stay focused on the fish--we were not as thrilled with the steak dish we ordered, and should have capped it with the buttered black cod. "I love Nobu! I normally only get to eat at the one at the Atlantis in the Bahamas, but realized there was one (well, now two) in Las Vegas -- so took advantage of getting to eat there on a recent trip. "I took a friend who was very reluctant and he later admitted it may have been the best meal he had ever had. We both had the Omakaze menu which included eight courses of different specialties created by the chefs. No course was very large and some were only a few small bites, but each was incredible (well, the miso soup is average, but that is a minor complaint). You leave full, but not stuffed. Yes, it is expensive ($125 each plus tax and tip)...but worth it for those that love Japanese food with a twist."

"We had reservations right at opening time, so it was fairly quiet. The menu is extensive, and we followed the recommendation of letting the chef prepare the menu for you based on your likes/dislikes. This was an outstanding way to go as it let you try a wide variety of dishes that you may not otherwise have tried. We went the sushi route and every dish was an amazing treat. Fresh, vibrant flavors! I was surprised at the variety of dishes we were able to enjoy, and the timing was great. We never had to wait between dishes. It is on the expensive side, but great for a special occasion when you want to splurge!"

"My wife and I celebrated her birthday on Tuesday night at the restaurant at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. Misty was our server and, still in training, she was excellent! The food was amazing. It was the most unique dining experience we have ever had. Chef prepared tapas selections of seafood (raw as well as cooked) and a nice piece of medium rare steak. Experiencing all of the different food creations made us feel as though we were on TV's "The Iron Chef" or "Chopped" because each plate was delicious and incomparable. Misty also treated us to a spectacular birthday creme brulee dessert that finished our meal on a spectacular note. We would recommend Nobu to anyone with a palate for the interesting and delicious! Thank you!"

"The Nobu experience is truly unique - the food is the best, both in terms of quality and creativity with the menu. It is not inexpensive, but the experience and value you recieve are well worth it. If you don't have a big party, sit at the sushi bar - the sushi chefs are great and always have something special to make you. Of course it's great fun to watch them create beautiful sushi and sashimi plates. Nobu is a warm and inviting place - at least at the Hard Rock Hotel."
