The Cazbar is Baltimore’s first and only Turkish Restaurant located at the heart of the Historic Charles Street District. We feature authentic Turkish cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. We are open daily for Lunch and Dinner. Join us on Friday or Saturday nights for our exotic Belly Dancing shows and our new lounge.
In addition, we have two very unique and beautiful banquet rooms that can accommodate an intimate dinner for 2 or a gathering for 100.
If you’re in the mood for something light, visit us at our Kebap House in Columbia, Maryland.

"This was a nice find on Open Table; quiet place with great food and friendly hosts. Parking on North Charles Street may be a little difficult, but if one is willing to take a short walk, the side streets offer good parking spots. Valet parking is also available for $5. Cazbar also hosts authentic belly-dancing performances on the weekend evenings."

"Booked for a pre-show dinner, so we were there fairly early; it was not crowded but more people were coming in as we left. Interesting decor retains charm of old building with modern urban updates. Attentive service: efficient without being obtrusive; quick and accommodating of our requests. Extensive and inviting menu - lots to chose from, but not overwhelming with clear explanations of dishes. Several mix plates to chose from; some good values for larger groups. All food ordered was very good. Short but nice wine/beer list - several Turkish selections, as well as quality US and international."

"It seemed like they were understaffed on this particular occasion. The food was good, but the service left something to be desired. There were only two members of the wait staff working, and it seemed like each had ~5 tables. The waitress was kind, but said unhelpful panglossian things like "everything here is good." I'm not sure if I'll go back."

"Overall, a decent Turkish restaurant. Not the best I've ever had. The adana kebap, which is a mildly spicy beef and lamb mix, was good. The mezes that we had, which were the hummus, saksuka (eggplant sauteed with peppers) and the yogurtlu patlican (smoked eggplant with yogurt, a little like baba ghanoush) were very good."

"The food here is good and we really recommend the Mezes Platter. The desserts are not anything special, so we usually skip them in favor of ice cream on the way home. The biggest drawback here is that they don't serve decaf coffee. Really, what's up with that?"

"Outstanding restaurant for Turkish food. We had no idea Baltimore could have such good cuisine from an exotic location. My wife and I love this place and have become frequent visitors. The place is kid friendly, although it is a fairly quiet place and loud children will definitely stand out/draw unwanted attention. The food and the service is both outstanding. The drink of choice is a house cocktail that is blue and has a name I can't recall or pronounce but it tastes like blue koolaide and is absolutely awesome. The place isn't very large so don't expect tons of room with large open tables, but there is definitely enough room for most."

"We find ourselves going back to Cazbar and recommending it to our friends. Once again, the food was good as well as the service. I do think that Jamie, our server, was a bit pushy and in my opinion, tried to rush us. We were there with a friend that I haven't seen in 30 years and Jamie repeatedly interupted the conversation to ask us questions, even though everything was fine and we didn't need anything. The valet parking was a little disjointed as the attendant was late, so the waiters were parking cars. I was left outside the restaurant waiting for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to come and get my keys.
However, small problems aside, we enjoy Cazbar very much and I'm sure we'll be back.
Highly recommend making a reservation."

"service was excellent, maybe because there weren't many patrons for dinner Sunday early evening. The only catch is parking, if you are familiar with Bmore, Charles St, 300 Blocks is not many places to park. The advertised valet parking - not on Sundays - found that out after we got there, couple trips around the area and finally found a place about two blocks away.Food is good and service was good, so in all, with the parking problem and such, we still enjoyed our dinner. We will go back and try the mixed grill... but it was a good way to end a weekend after the O's games, yes, they lost.. oh well.. is early on the season."

"After spending a day at the Inner Harbor, we wanted to try something unique & tasty nearby & avoid the chain restaurants. So I searched on the Open Table app & found this delightful Turkish restaurant with a unique ambiance within walking distance. We had Imam Bayildi, Sigara Borek, & Saksuka as our meze selection - all were very tasty & substantial; those with a light appetite may find the meze plate to be substantial enough for a meal. For entrees, we had Lamb Kusbasi Pides, Manti & Lamb Kulbasti. All of them were very tasty & none of us were disappointed. By this time we were very stuffed & skipped dessert. Wouldn't mind going back again when in town to try some more of their tasty-looking food & watch the belly dance shows."

The two of us thoroughly enjoyed the spicy lentil soup (the pumpkin soup was also flavorful, but a little sweet to our taste), and feasted our taste buds (and stilled our appetites) with two cold (baba ghanoush and Imam Bayildi) and two hot (sauteed mushrooms and sauteed shrimp with tomatoes and feta), and couldn't leave without at least taking the Kadayif dessert with us -- modestly sized but scrumptious! Definitely worth repeating, with more time!"

"My wife and I tried Cazbar during the 2003 Baltimore Restaurant Week. I tried Pomegranate Wine for the first time and found it similar to a Merlot with Pomegranate flavors; I enjoyed it enough I had a second glass. The Pris Fix menu was somewhat limited but we both enjoyed our dinners and will probably return. We started with a bowl of "Zeytin, Marinated Olives" and a "Trio of Mezes," then shared "Et Saute," their lamb stew casserole and "Adana Kabob," that was similar to Greek Gyros, served over rice and vegetables. We finished by sharing orders of "Baklava" and "Kazandibi." The bench seating for those in the center of the room wouldn't have been my first choice; but it does clear sight lines and improve the available space for movem"

"This was our second visit to Cazbar and once again, everything was very good. For appetizers, we had the Manti, Sigara Borek, and the Yogurtlu Patlican. Take a look at the menu for descriptions of each. My favorite is the Manti. You can also get this dish as an entree.
For dinner, one of us had the lamb shish kebap, one had the beef shish kebap, and I had the mixed grill. Each entree comes with rice and a very good salad.
In addition to the food being very good, the service was fantastic as well. Very attentive, never in the way and very polite. If you need them to, they will go through the entire menu and explain everything. You never have to feel rushed when you go here.
The prices are also very reasonable."

"Had a great lunch there on a weekday. It was empty when we got there, but a pretty good lunch crowd came in while we were eating. We got the mezze trio with hummus, baba ghanoush, and ezme, which were all delicious. Our entrees (the doner sandwich, the beef kebab sandwich, and the Casablanca pide were all great. "We visited this place during restaurant week. It was wonderful. All four of us enjoyed our food. The service was great. Everybody was really on top of everything. The worst part of the place was finding a parking space. We had to park a couple of blocks away on the street and walk in. We would definitely visit this place again."

"The food is very good, with lots of fascinating options for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. This would be a good restaurant choice for a group which includes both persuasions. Also,there is one booth on the main floor which would hold at least eight oeople. The waiter was extremely attentive and always happy to describe dishes which weren't familiar to us. I also liked the selection of wines by the glass, which is above average and even includes one dry rose (a rarity on by-the-glass lists). The beer selection is also very interesting. We hope to go to this restaurant again very soon."
