The approach to the Dockside Restaurant is all part of the Dockside’s charm. You are treated to views of the York River and the grand “summer cottages” as you turn onto Harris Island Road to reach Dockside Restaurant.
The view is quintessential Maine, people hustling up and down the docks, gleaming yachts and colorful lobster boats in front of a rock and pine-tree shore.
Dockside is warm and comfortable. Hardwood floors, European style lighting floor to ceiling window and a new mahogany bar with an adjoining outdoor cocktail deck. During warm months seating is available on our harbor view screen porch. The atmosphere is casual but the food is serious.
Chef Dennis la Planet has been recognized as a “chef’s chef”. North Atlantic seafood prepared with a northern Italian influence and aged steaks are just the start. Lunch features organic salads, creative sandwiches and traditional favorites; fish and chips, chowders and fried clams too
"I wasn't aware that our reservations were for a buffet. Nothing indicated that during the reservation process. The initial seating was very confusing and not very welcoming. Our waiter was nice but after at least 15 minutes we had to ask to place a drink order. That took another 15 minutes. No one did any overview of the stations or any welcome at the table. The menu was fairly limited. We had to ask for our check. Not a professional or calm dining environment."

"My partner and I took our mother's here for brunch buffet. This place is right on the water, giving up a beautiful view the entire time! The restaurant is slightly small, but has a intimate feel to it. The food was great and with the exception of them running out of salad (not that I needed it) I left very full and very happy. Both mothers loved it and we spent the next half hour walking around the beautiful property on the water. Great secluded location and great service!"

"This a wonderful little spot that is in a pretty setting and served a wonderful Mother's Day buffet. The atmosphere is very nice without being too stuffy or too casual. The food was wonderful with the selection of standards and wonderful surprises to your typical event day brunch (wonderful antipasto and appetizer selection, excellent mussels and lobster ravioli just a few of the items on the buffet that also included must-have standards like roast beef). Attentive wait staff. We really enjoyed all around."
