"From the Valet Parking Attendant straight through the dessert everything was perfect. The wait staff was extremely attentive. The portions were very generous and the food was cooked to perfection. Our group of 5 had a wide variety of entrees and each were fantastic. For the price I do not believe you can find a better value in the city. Will definitely return in the near future. Thank you for making our graduation celebration a special event!"

"Its my second time in Marmont, wanted to take my friend coz I'm always raving about their lamb lollipops. Sure enough she loved it, and is planning to go back with her boyfriend. The service was excellent. We arrived late and still was seated right away. I will deff come back and recommend!"

"They took care of us from the start with a table at the time of the reservation. A friend was running late which was no problem for them, they got us started with apps and drinks. At no point did we feel rushed and the service was excellent. In our group we had everything from the red snapper, cuts of steak, and the pork chops. Each one of us were amazed at how excellent the meals were and the bread pudding for dessert is reason enough to visit!!!"

"There are plenty of restaurants in this area, but Marmont is the only steak-specialty place, so we thought we'd give it a try. I am hesitant to go to steak restaurants, as I usually come away disappointed, realizing I can make a steak just as good or better than many places. However, Marmont's steaks were terrific. I had the Cowboy steak, a large 30-oz bone-in ribeye, and my spouse had the smaller, 16-oz, ribeye. Both were outstanding. The quality of the meat was good and the preparation was perfect. I also started with the Crab Bisque, which very flavorful and had plenty of crab. We were far too full for dessert. Marmont promises a great steak and they deliver. The service was excellent too. I would definitely go again."

"Steak was not flavorful. Mashed potatoes were not hot. When we told the server she was going to take the entire plate back and we asked that she just bring a side of warm potatoes. The new side was just barely lukewarm. She then said the manager said there was a problem with the steam table. The manager never personally came to the table nor did they make an adjustment for the poor quality. Staff was friendly but inexperienced and not very well trained. We will not return."

"Good food but very poor service. We were seated right away (it was a slow night), however our server was terrible. We waited 5 minutes at the table before we were acknowledged, 30 minutes for our meal after ordering (my steak came out cold, the other entree and sides were served hot), our waters weren't refilled after entrees were dropped, we asked for salt and pepper and it was never given, when we did finish eating, no one came to clear our plates and after ten minutes I flagged our server down and asked for the check. It took him over 5 minutes to return with my credit card. The couple next to us sat with their entrees getting cold because no one brought them new silverware after their apps were cleared. We won't return."

"I thought the food was great! Had surf-n-turf and the sides were ordered with it was very good too. The lamb lollipops were way undercooked, but our server fixed that for us and got us drinks on the house to help resolve the problem. I thought everything was very good, I enjoyed the atmosphere and would def. recommend this place to someone else."

"Awesome place for four people to enjoy a birthday dinner.. Loved the steak. Perfectly cooked. You pay a pretty penny for it compared to Outback, but it's for obvious reasons. "We went with the chateaubriande, which serves two. By the time it made it to our table, even the sauce was lukewarm. The brussel sprouts were also almost cold and tasted pickled. All in all, it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. The bartender sent over a drink he was creating which at the time was nameless. A little heavy on the cream, but it had potential."

"...there were smaller portions. The food was really great. The service was good. The problem with Marmont is that they only have one portion size available on the menu, gargantuan! Their range is 12-30oz for steak. As a result, you end up paying for a lot more food than you can, or should eat. I think that for the quality of the food and the amount of the food we got, the price is great. However, none of us needed that much food and so it felt like a bad deal since so much was wasted. I like to leave a restaurant feeling satisfied, not overfed. I think appropriate portions and the harmony of the dishes on the menu are as important as the taste of the food. Unfortunately, Marmont doesn't seem to get the concept of a well-portioned meal."

"The food was good and the prices were reasonable. I loved the ambiance and background music. Food did take a very long time to arrive even though the restaurant was not crowded, but we were not in a rush and did not mind. "My fiance and I went to dinner here for the first time. THe service was great. He had the surf and turf and loved it all. I had the special of the day, a grilled lobster tail and shrimp on top of a bed of crabmeat risotto. The lobster and the shrimp were cooked perfectly. I did not enjoy the risotto but my fiance did. So all in all it was a great meal."

"Went there for dinner based upon an earlier review saying the steaks were good. Slightly put off as we walked in and was a bit smaller than we expected, with the bar as part of the dining room. Nice enough but nothing fancy. However the food was very good. My wife and I both had steaks and a la carte veggies. Comparable if not better than high-end steak houses. Definitely recommend it."

"The food was delish for a reasonable price; lamb lollipops, mushroom risotto and the bread pudding were the highlights of our dinner. Our server was very attentive without being overbearing; he also was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recomendations. The only minute complaint I have is the noise level (the bar w/c was right next to our table was packed) and the small space. But we deff will come back and recommend!!!"

"I love Marmont!! I have been here a few times before and it has never disappointed! This time I took a few friends with me for some great food and cocktails. The Filet Oscar was delicious. Definitely my favorite. The baked brie is to die for. i get it everytime I come and it's always fabulous. All my friends were raving about their meals and we all left very full & happy. Our server was attentive and friendly. The vibe was great and very cozy. All in all I would definitely recommend Marmont to anyone looking for a great meal and great cocktails."

"Have eaten here twice. Once with my mom before a show, and once with my boyfriend. I really enjoyed it both times. Two tops are very close together, close to the point where when someone needs to get out, their rear end slides across your table. Would have enjoyed it much more with a little more privacy, but it didn't really bother me that much. Would probably return when in the area."

"The steaks we had were perfectly cooked. The steak Oscar came with a generous portion of lovely, large lumps of crab. However, the asparagus with it was sliced into small pieces, unexpected and not as appealing as whole spears would have been. We both loved the crab bisque (such a generous serving that my husband had to help me out!), and he also had no trouble polishing off the baked Brie! All in all a lovely meal. Did I say the steaks were perfectly cooked? Yum!"

"This was our first time here. The food was excellent and my steak was perfectly cooked. I was expecting a different atmosphere but found it to be very enjoyable. "My husband & I were 1st time diners at Marmont. It was great. the steaks we got - an 18 oz ny strip & filet mignon were done perfectly & deliciously. The lobster of my surf & turf was huge. When i took my first bite, i said to my husband, "luxury is a big mouthful of lobster!" instead of those tiny bites you take to make a smaller lobster last longer. The sweet potato soup was thick & delicious; baked brie was also good; desserts - OMG! The bad experience was sitting near the front door: it's freezing when someone comes in. secondly, our waiter suggested nothing when we ordered our dinner. consequently, i had no starch or vegie: didn't know i had to order seperate. no sauce on my steak (bernaise!). He should have caught my oversight."

"All restaurants serve food! So,if there is one thing that restaurants have to keep in mind, it's customer service. The customer service there was impeccable. The food portions were of great magnitude (especially since its an "Old City" restaurant- where you usually get little food and insurmountable garnish). The restaurant should look to find a larger location due to the close proximity of the bar to the seating. The food was great, and the hospitality was greater. I will definitely be a return patron."

"First off, the food was good, the menu was very filling for it's price, and the best part of the meal was the dessert. Their homemade bread pudding was delicious. Now, the only issue with the restaurant is its size. It's a small restaurant. And if you are unlucky enough to be sitting near the door during a cold winter night, you will need to wear your coat, because there is very little protection against the elements each time the door is opened. That was my only issue of the night. Winter nights might not be the best time to visit, unless they put you in back. Otherwise, go, because it was a good restaurant."

"We went to the Marmont Steak House during restaurant week in Philadelphia and it was great. They have one of the best restaurant week menus in the city. Four course meal for $35 per person. Everything was delicious! The Marmont salad is wonderful, the steaks are perfect and the appetizers and desserts are really yummy! Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. An all around great evening."

"A few service glitches. Brought salad without the dressing on the side - had to wait a good five minutes to get the dressing.
Out of cheesecake - ordered the creme brulee only to have the waiter come back 10 minutes later to say they were out of it too. Finally ordered the layer cake and asked to be compensated with a scoop of ice cream on the side. When the cake came 15 minutes later there was no ice cream. Should have pushed issue since cake was really dry.
Didn't go for dessert though and I must say the filet oscar was excellent!"

"There for restaurant week and it was great. Food drinks just everything great. I've been here once before while in town for business. Back again and had another great time. Last time I had Paige and this time I has Dominique. Ask for anyone of these two wonderful ladies. I encourage out of towners and locals to try this place. Don't go by the website however, its very outdated. If you like steak this is the place to go. It's an easy $100 for 2 people but worth is and appropriate for what you get. Appetizers are shareable and so are desserts. So you can save a few bucks on that. Drinks are cheaper than average price around the city. House wine $6. Martini's up are no more than 11 and thats the good stuff. Just go and I'll shut up."

"We dined here for Restaurant Week in early February & it was exceptionally cold outside. Unfortunately, much of the seating was near the front of the restaurant and the cold winds blew into the room every time a new guest entered. Even though they had curtains inside the main entrance to block the draft, many of the guests had to wear their coats while dining. I'm sure it's a great place during warm weather, but I don't think we'd go back during the winter. The food was pretty fantastic though!"

"This is my second opportunity to dine at this wonderful restaurant. The food is amazing, perfectly cooked and seasoned. We had a new waiter, he kept forgetting minor things, utensils, soda, carry out container and bag. But, he quickly and pleasantly corrected everything. I have been ranting and raving about Marmont for over a year. My fiance loves the restaurant and is asking when we can make plans to go back. He lives in New York, and I live in Pa. We are looking forward to the Marmont experience. Thank you, yum, yum!"

"Me and My family went there for Restaurant week. At first I was looking to try one of the bigger chain (Capital Grille, Del Friscos) but they were all booked for the evening. So I decided to search through the remaining Steakhouses' menus, and stumbled upon Marmont Steakhouse. Boy I'm glad I did! Everything was wonderful from the atmosphere, to the service, to the food. There was enough great selections on the fixed menu for everyone in my family to enjoy. The food was tasteful and there was plenty of it. The server (Joel) took good care of us. We were all very impressed on how efficient the food came out, not too fast, not too slow. The food was seasoned perfectly. I recommend the bread pudding. We will going there again for sure."

"Sorry to say, I was not impressed, and I would not recommend. My friends and I dined during Restaurant Week, and therfore ordered from that menu. The crab bisque had ALOT of fresh crabmeat, but it was lukecold. The Brie, Marmont salad and calamari were good. My rib eye steak, though, was not prime, and they did not let it sit, so when I cut into it, the juices ran all over my plate and into my mashed potatoes. I was told the choc. cake was good, but I thought the bread pudding was just fair. I am a Culinary Arts/Restaurant Practices High School teacher. I have been in the hospitality industry for 30 years......."
