The South Okanagan has gained a well deserved reputation as a desirable destination for tourists seeking an agricultural and culinary experience. The Sonora Room at Burrowing Owl Estate Winery features prominently in this regard with its epicurean excellence, superb service, relaxed style and scenic splendour. The restaurant overlooks 146 acres of picturesque vineyard from the patio or inside the warm and inviting dining room. The philosophy of the talented culinary team is to embrace the opportunity to showcase many of the South Okanagan’s local producers. Dishes are created that utilize an array of local organic produce, seasonal fruits and artisan cheeses, and pair perfectly with Burrowing Owl's award winning wines. The exclusive wine list includes a selection of Burrowing Owl's current vintages, and library wines that are no longer publicly available for sale. Creative cuisine, impeccable service and a beautiful venue highlight the great agricultural diversity of the region.
"Two of us went for dinner and sat on the patio. The views were amazing, some of the best in the Okanagan. Getting to watch the sunset over the hills was incredible. Service was right on. Lovely eastern European lady was our server and she was attentive without hovering. Funny without lowering service level. Well Done. Food was very good. Both mains were a little over-cooked/dry (Halibut & Lamb), but the flavors and creativity was excellent. The 1st course and dessert was great. Decor inside is a little old, wouldn't have wanted to dine inside, but the patio was magnificent. We most definitely will be back!"

"We had a delightful dinner here - gorgeous dining room with very high ceilings and comfortable chairs - lovely decor and excellent servie. The seafood choder was exceptional and the lamb sirloin very very good. The dessert - creme brulee was excellent and of course the wine really tasty too. We were very pleased and it was great to be staying at the guest house so we simply walked over - breakfasts at the guest house excellent too. This is a wonderful place to eat and we would definitely return."
