"This was my second time here and this was worst than the first time. Our waiter wasn't the friendliest rarely saw him so we ordered a salad and our main course we received our salad but it took a hour before we got our entree. There were groups that can after we had been seated who had received their food and left before we received ours. Finally tracked out waiter down and he said that because we ordered a salad they can't bring out anything else until we're done. When we kept implying he got an attitude when our food finally came it was just ok. Also there was a per person minimum which I didn't like at all. Wouldn't go back"

"Fabulous Music, great live bands and vocalist hated I had to leave early for the parade of talented artist gracing the stage. This was our second visit to PIPs and my husband loves the food; I don't care for Italian food so can't go by me, loved the salad though. Service is great staff is friendly and professional."

"My friend suggested PIPS to me and I decided to go on my birthday! I really pigged out and enjoyed myself! The service was really on top of everything and very friendly! "This is by far the best restaurant in Mid City. Derrek Pippen keeps the good jazz acts coming and his kitchen is always adding to the great menu. Make sure you come at 8pm and stay for the jazz. They have a full bar now also!"

The food was excellent, I went with a house special which was a creole pasta dish,my friend enjoyed the Salmon Safaron which was delicious. Yes, I tried hers too. "The staff at Pips is excellent. We decided to try them on a Saturday night for Latin Jazz, which was fantastic! The staff was very attentive and lively but not overbearing. Bob DeSena and his band kept the crowd going and played some great music. They have music every night except Monday, when they are closed. You have got to try this spot. "This was my second time dining at PIPS and this time We sat inside as opposed to be on the patio. This was appropriate because it gave me and my companion an opportunity to talk. I want to give a SPECIAL THANK YOU to Stacy our waitress (I HOPE i got the name right), WE do not drink alcohol at all but WE wanted to try a glass of wine so I asked Stacy what would she suggest, I didn't want anything dry or bitter I was looking for smooth and sweet and Stacy suggested the STELLA ROSA! OMG! her suggestion was absolutely PERFECT! We are NOW fans of Stella Rosa wines,Pips and KUDOS to Stacy for EXCELLENT service and INSURING that we will return."

"The Sunday brunch is simplicity at its best! Small, but quaint. Modest variety of dishes, but the quality of the dishes are amazing, tasty, seasoned, and delicious. Unassuming staff, but so attentive. LaBrea traffic noise, but who cares! One of my favorite Sunday brunch spots in L.A.
My only wish is more vegetarian/vegan dishes because I love to dine with my vegetarian/vegan friends at PIPS. That's it!"

"From the outside it's not much i actually drove by the place. Once inside i was immediately seated and i had reservations which is a GOOD idea on Saturdays. We dined outside which was a plus since it was warm that night and the band was playing outside as well. The food was really good the music was amazing the whole vibe and feel of the place was cozy with a romantic feel. Really good DATE place. If there was a down side, perhaps a minor inconvenience it was hard to read the menu in the dim light. Without a DOUBT i will be going back again and again."
