"I had a pasta dish at lunch that had chicken in it; but the majority of the chicken was sinewy and 'grisly', I couldn't eat most of it. The pasta and the rest of the dish was good, but it would have been nice to eat the chicken as well. My girlfriend had chicken on her salad and apparently she had the other half of the one I had. It was okay, but my meals at the Met have always been better. Miss the ginger chicken."

"I usually hit the Met a couple times a month for lunch with clients and it's always a great time. The location is perfect walking distance for anyone in the downtown core and the food is always excellent. There are two dinning areas to choose from, near the back is a little quieter and upfront near the bar is a little louder and brighter (just asking when booking a table)."

"I've not only experienced this myself, but I've watched as other potential diners were turned away, even when they had a reservation. What's the point of making a reservation if you still won't be accommodated? The wait staff seems a little clueless."

"The fish tacos were outstanding, as well as the soup that I had as a side. Only problem is that it took about 45 minutes for our food to come out. I do understand that it was over the lunch hour, so I was not expecting super speedy service, but I still feel 45 minutes is too long to wait after ordering. Our server was very nice, and was always on top of things. Over all, great! would reccomend to anyone!"

"We made reservations and was quickly seated. Our waitress was fantastic. I believe her name was Nicky. She was friendly and was always polite. The atmosphere was vibrant. By the time her shift was over things changed. Our new waitress barely came around and I swear the restaurant emptied out! Around 11:00pm there were only a few patrons around. The music was GREAT! I wished they had a dance floor. I know a few of us would have stayed much longer."

"We were not impressed with our recent visit to the Met. We were sat at a table that had a wet chair and ice on the floor and water/pop under our table. They came to clean it up after we were seated. There was a perfectly good table right next to ours that was empty, so I'm not sure why they sat us at the table that had not been properly cleaned from the last customers. Our food was so/so. For the price we paid I would go elsewhere next time. Will not be going back again anytime soon."

"I made my reservation on Wednesday March 6th for 6 people. I called on Thursday to confirm my reservation. I asked for 2 high top tables for the lounge. The person on the phone wanted to keep pushing the one of their booths on me. The group that I was meeting were all big guys so this would not be very comforatbale for us. So did say we would get the high top tables. When I showed up to the restaurant the host took mt name, then I was just standing there for another 5 minutes waiting. It wasn't busy, then she went to seat us in a booth in the back part of the restaurant. I told her we booked a high top in the lounge, there was 2 of them in the lounge. Her repsonse was that's reserved. I asked her what about my reservation that I made."

"the new décor is ok but the food was terrible , the hot sandwich special was cold and terrible. Fries were greasy and cold as well. Stay away if you want to eat here."

"Whether it be for a casual refreshment after work, a business luncheon, or casual dining with friends and family, I highly recommend the Met on 8th Ave. The newly renovated space is very energetic, yet comfortable and the food and service were outstanding. Great menu and beverage selection. It gets busy, and loud at lunch...and that is a good thing! You won’t be disappointed. I recommend a reservation ahead of time."
