"This is a review exclusively of Mothers' Day brunch and dinner. We had a 6pm reservation; waited 35 minutes for our table; another 30 minutes for bread/water (no plates or utensils or a waiter in sight); and we waited a total of 2.5 hours for our entrees to be served. South Fin even used part of the adjacent Vanderbilt's ballroom as part of their dining room, showing how over capacity South Fin actually was. It was difficult to take out my family's frustrations on the waitstaff as it was obvious that there were far too few employees to serve the 500+ guests at dinner. Shame on management for taking advantage of paying customers and overworking their dining room staff. Will not return (as will the diners seated next to us)"

"Its extremely expensive - Cost $400 for 3 people to have Sunday dinner with appetizers, drinks, meal and dessert. They have a nice seafood menu. Had Brunch recently (big selection and better than most brunch places on SI- which was $39 and included 1 Mimosa or 1 Bloody Mary. My father asked for another one as he didn't know it was 1 per person. The waiter should have told him a fee was involved - $6 for OJ in a champagne glass with a splash of alcohol. The kicker of all this was I don't like either drink so my dad could have had mine!! They also force you to valet. I have had things stolen before by valet personnel at other places. Food is good - I go to the restaurant but not often because i don't like the prices or parking situation."

"It's not the first time I've been there but this restaurants service is constantly less then desirable. Waited close to an hour for our food to be served, and appetizers ended up being served at the same time as main course. Drinks took a year and a day to get as well ! Tired of restaurant using big party as an excuse, hire more help or don't take additional reservations if your staff can't handle it. Final straw was when they served me a warm beer ! Beautiful restaurant, good food but really needs to figure a better way for staff to perform !"

"Went there for an Easter Brunch - it was buffet (not a surprise). It was convenient, we had a table overlooking the lower bay, and the service was good. But the buffet is NOT up to the quality of the dinners we've had there (not a surprise)."

"The last couple times before this visit I have to say the food was eh.
But I do feel like they are trying to make a resurgence since Sandy and they are doing a fantastic job of it. We were given a delightful amuse bouche (which never happened before) and the biscuits we were given were delicious.
