Pull up a seat in the lounge or join us for lunch, dinner or weekend brunch in the dining room. Onieals offers casually elegant cuisine and unique cocktails to satisfy a variety of tastes and preferences. The perfect meeting place for business lunches, after work drinks or fun on the weekend.
Set in a neighborhood that for more than a hundred years was the knife’s edge of wealth, corruption, poverty and crime, Onieals today is a refined, hip restaurant but one with a history.
Onieals is well known for "Sex and the City." When Miranda's once and future boy-toy Steve partners up with Carrie’s ex Aidan to open the bar ‘SCOUT’, it is Onieals Grand Street in downtown NYC that serves as the backdrop for the casually hip New York bar.
"I went to Onieals with a group of colleagues while in town for a business trip (a recommendation from someone else in the office) and was impressed with the ambiance and decor, as well as the extensive cocktail menu.
That being said, we received poor service, at best. Two of us ordered the steak special, and one got the regular steak from the menu, and not one of the orders was correct when it came to the table. The server who delivered our food did not take the order, so we just took the food and traded where necessary. At the end of it all, we were charged an automatic 20% gratuity for our group size, and given some serious attitude from our server when we asked for change.
The food was good, but not worth the ordeal."

"O'nieals came highly recommended from a few friends. We ate a late lunch here the day the Blizzard hit NYC. There were only a few other diners in the restaurant; until the SITC bus rolled in. After their quick Cosmo, the 20 women left. I have to say - it was pretty entertaining. The food was very good and the drinks hit the spot. We'll definitely be back on our next trip to NYC."

"I took my partner for Valentines Day after looking everywhere. It was nice but, a little pricey. However the Hammered Chicken was great. I only ordered that and I was full the entire night. The wine was great. We had a nice time but, the waitress seemed like she was everywhere. She was a little... obnoxious to be honest."
