"My Husband and I have dined at Chop many times both in our hometown of Winnipeg, and our adopted city of Kelowna. I can honestly say that we have never been disappointed! The food is always fresh and tasty, and the service is top notch. On our most recent visit we had very friendly servers who were attentive and eager to please. We have introduced many of our friends to Chop and they have had similar experiences and are now regular customers as well! We have even managed to turn sceptics into believers thanks to the Wasabi Mashed Potatoes! Keep up the good work!"

"Ambience & service were top notch but I've got to say that the use of salt to create flavour was a way over the top. I had the steak bites to start...very salty, followed by the wasabi mashed potatoes and baseball sirloin with lobster topper and french onion soup. The potatoes were also very salty as was the french onion soup, although to be fair french onion soup is generally salty anyways but in this case after so much salty food already I was a bit put off. Follow that with the lobster topper dipped in...you guessed it - salty butter! Baseball sirloin was cooked nicely to medium rare but tough as nails. Overall the kitchen needs to learn how to develop flavor without so much bloody salt! Lobster linguini was average at best."

"We came for the special lemon dessert featured on the spring menu till May 22. It was my sister's birthday and she loves lemon merigue pie. It was a hit with all of us. We would like to request that the lemon dessert stay on the menu full time. Many places don't have a lemon dessert and it was so good. We would return for this dessert. Thr food is always good. The Chop in Calgary is open for lunch. Would love to see Chop open for lunch a few days a week at least."

"We went here for Mother's Day Brunch. Overall it was a bad experience, which included bad service and bad food. The hostess wasn't friendly and wouldn't smile. There were no items for kids menu. So we ordered a hamburger to split for our two kids, and asked them to put it on two plates. The waitress brought the hamburger out on one plate and told us "we can't split it". They actually refused to split the meal, but told me that I could do it myself, and gave me an extra plate and a knife to cut the burger. That's not the way to treat your customers! I ordered a frittata, which wasn't a frittata at all, but was a plain omelette with some ingredients tossed on top. I asked for toast with no butter. I sent it back and received plain bread! etc"

"Server was very nice and knew the menu, everyone was very polite, I appreciated that. The lobster was a little under cooked but tasty, the steaks were cooked as ordered (tenderlion and pepper steak) but taste was a little off for both of us, not sure what it was, tough compitition for the Keg. Over all a pleasant evening. thanks"

"Arrived at Chop and our table was waiting. We ordered cocktails which were very good. We placed our order and indicated that we would not be having wine. Bread was delivered and we had to ask for water. Our appetizers arrived and were good. Our empty cocktail glasses remained on the table as did the non used wine glasses. Our main course arrived with no fresh cutlery and appetizer dishes were not removed. Again had to ask for water. The scallop entre was quite good while the chicken entre was dry and lacked the flavour described on the menu. When done we stacked our appetizer dishes on top of our entre dishes. They were removed, empty wine and coctail glasses remained and again asked for water. Given the experience, not likely to go back."

"The lobster and the crab legs ordered are a little salty. I don't know if its meant to be like that or it's just a mistake, but It actually makes the food undesirable from my point of view. The services are great, made us felt very welcomed."
