"It is hard to go wrong here at Risibisi. The food is very good and the portions are more than adequate. My wife and I went there for lunch on Mothers' day and had a lovely meal consisting of a house crab salad with a Louis dressing(very nice which we shared),and then she had the gnocchi with a wild boar sugo while I had the spaghetti carbonara. I also had and very much liked a glass of vermentino white wine from Sardinia. Even though we were stuffed we treated ourselves to the cannoli for desert. Another touch that we like is that you can find out from where most of their food and drink is sourced from All in all this place is worth visiting....and enjoying...bring your appetite with you...."

"We loved this beautiful restaurant. My son, husband and I ate here for the first time. We each loved our dishes, appetizers and the dessert. If I had to critique something, I could comment on the 2/3 full cocktail glass, with very little alcohol for $9.50. None of us felt there was much alcohol in our drinks. Further, the service was only mediocre. But we will definitely go back, as the food was superb."

"We chose the restaurant because it had options for vegans and offered gluten free pastas. Most Ingredients were fresh and flavorful, but the shrimp in my pasta was not quite enough to notice and the chopped tomato appeared to be canned. The risotto was asparagus and pancetta, and again, the meat was minimal. Cocktails were tasty. The item that stole the show was the green onion topped focaccia, which was house baked and delicious. Dinner with drinks at lunch came to $40/person."

"this was a second lunch visit and as in the past, the gnocchi with wild boar was fantastic as was the pulled boar sandwich. Reheatability of leftovers was fine. We arrived a bit early (very little traffic on a Thursday mid morning from San Jose) but were seated right away but a little before the kitchen was ready. Service was very nice and it was quiet maybe due to the fact that we were early in the day and while we entered as the only party several more people arrived."

"Risibisi is a small intimate restaurant. The chef is imaginative and the quality has always been well above average. There are few better in Petaluma or Marin. You'd have to go to the wine country East Bay or the City to do better. Raviolis are light and elegant. Fish is fresh and highlighted by seasoning and sides. Chicken under the brick is far better than usually encountered, in fact its excellent. Soups are excellent (very few get them right). Deserts are well executed, try the polenta cake. Recently went to Ad Hoc...this is far more comfortable, reasonable and far better service without attitude."

"Made reservations based on other OpenTable feedback. This place didn't disappoint. The inside is very hip, small but comfortable. Small bar but great service prior to our table being ready. Friendly and attentive wait staff. Had a group of 5 and we all ordered very different selections. Not one dish disappointed! This will be on my wine country dining list for some time to come."

"Happened upon this place by chance while passing through Petaluma, and we'll now make it our business to make the trip from the South Bay to Risibisi! The waitstaff really knew their stuff, from the details about the menu to the nuances of the wines. The food was superb. We had the veal tonnato appetizer, which we really enjoyed; who would have thought about combining the tastes of veal and tuna, but it worked. For main courses, we had the wild boar gnocci and the veal shank, and both were wonderful. Delicatedly suffused flavors in everything we tried, perfectly prepared. Everything is locally sourced, so the menu is somewhat limited by location and season, but there's something for everyone. Go out of your way to come here!"

"We had a delicious dinner for two. I had the special ravioli with the most wonderful lemon sauce which was not too sour or too sweet but just the perfect balance to the delicate dish. My husband opted for the skirt steak which was also delicious."

"We arrived early (15 minutes) and were asked to sit at bar, we did and were ignored. I had to ask waiter/ barman for service. Once we got over that hump service improved. Food was very good, risotto and halibut (excellent potatoes served with the halibut and very very good barley). I have been to Risibisi before and enjoyed the experience so I am sure the service hiccup was a one time thing."

"We were 12 women, a noisy, fun family group. We all concurred wait staff terrific, food delicious (except the soup was not what I expected, although a tasty broth with veggies, what I make at home is as good). We seemed to open and close down the place and no one felt that workers were urging us out. Would come there again. Thanks for a fun, delicious evening!"

"Enjoyed the pre theater(Cinnabar) dinner with wine for $20 each. We reviewed the regular menu and found many entrees we would wish to try on a return visit. This special was a nice way to introduce us to this nice local Italian restaurant."

"Charming and inviting atmosphere. Friendly and polite waiters Owner came by a couple times to check on how every thing was. Some dishes looked small. My friend ordered the scallops which were tasty but only 3. Surrounding dishes also looked rather skimpy. I had the braised lamb shank which was excellent and large portion. There seemed to be a bit of confusion with the waiters . Overall, it was very good and would go back."

"We researched restaurant and were excited about Risibisi due to the menu we found on line. When we arrived none of the items were on the in house menu. Very disappointed, food was good but there were things we wanted to try."

"Unfortunately my salad was overdressed/overly sweet, and my salmon was undercooked and mushy. Loved the ambiance and small size of the restaurant front room, but we will not be going back. :-("

"The current chef they have now is really great. Has studied the Italian style and has it down and also adds some creative touches that always enhance. His Vitello Tonnato is a beautiful presentation and absolutely perfect. All the pastas are great too. And they have some nice Italian wines. Super friendly service."

"Overall, I really enjoyed this resturant. Although we were the only table at the end of lunch service, the service was a little spotty. We had to ask for bread, and water refill. The food was refreshing new and comforting. Locally sourced meats and veggies, was a plus. The food was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My dining companion and I really enjoyed the meal, and he was very happy with his cocktail. I just want my water glass full. We will be back, maybe next time for dinner."

"I brought my boyfriend to Risibisi for his birthday dinner. We sat in the back room and had it all to ourselves for most of the evening. Even though we were all alone in the back, the staff still paid special attention to us. They turned the lights down low and turned the music volume down to create the perfect ambiance. Our food was amazing and we just kept stopping and telling each other that we don't think we've ever eaten anything this delicious. The price was totally worth the quality of the food but I wish it were less expensive so that we could eat there more often!"

"It was a nice dinner for three on a Thursday evening. Two of us ordered the Braised Short Ribs and they were wonderful. The third ordered the special risotto ... mushroom. He said it was good but not the best he has ever had. Overall, an enjoyable evening in town."

"Food was delicious. My husband and I shared a spinach salad and each had a pasta dish. The pasta was cooked perfectly and ragu sauce and puttanesca sauce on our respective dishes tasted fresh. Portions were good. Service was great - our server was friendly, timely, and made our experience worthwhile. We enjoyed the restaurant's atmosphere - it was quiet, romantic, not overly crowded, and clean. We will definitely be back!"

"Good food with a few missteps. Apps were perfect, but the steak entree was ndercooked with lukewarm sides, risotto was a little bland. Pricey for these kinds of mistakes. We'll come back on a non-holiday night (it was Valentines Day) and see how it goes. Otherwise: good ambience, service and cocktails. Great wine list."

"We went to support the Mentor Me Dine Out. Four of the five people in our group had the salmon special of the evening. And it was fabulous! The salmon was perfectly cooked, pan seared and just a little crunchy brown carmelization on top. It was served over veggies and an Italian grain similar to couscous. Roasted cauliflower was one of the veggies. The blend of flavors was exceptional. We don't go there often, but will return for food of this caliber."

"Had high hopes for Risibisi. The food left much to be desired. Not much flavor for any of the four entrees ordered and two salads were rubbery and flavorless. The soup was good as was the bruschetta - though nothing to rave about. The mushrooms used on the brushetta had a canned texture and did not seem fresh. The bread and water servers wore so much cologne it was distracting and gave one person a headache. The waiter was fine."
